Stargeezr replied to Scott's topic in World News
I wonder if the ISS can be towed to the moon to used as an orbital platform for exploring on the surface? Just my forward thinking.. -
Alps' Glaciers Vanishing At Record Rate Following Early Summer Heatwaves
Stargeezr replied to Scott's topic in World News
I am convinced that the earth is heating itself up again. This time however humans are advanced enough to be able to monitor it. -
How much brain damage does cannabis cause? I doubt that th dopers on this forum will care. My buddy the doper who started with Cannabis and went to stronger drugs, is no longer married, no longer my friend as he kept trying to get money for his next fix, Now he is no longer alive, as he did not pay back a money lender who had mean friends. So when I hear that cannabis is a nice drug, I relate to a few people that I used to know. Harvey M

Stay strong Thailand, in California the people are being told not to use too much electricity. The power grid cannot take it. Maybe Tesla should get a few nuclear power plants built before flooding the market with more cars and pickups. Just a thought. How about Thailand, can the country handle all the forecasted Electric cars and trucks? Besides Carbon Dioxide is a trace gas, less than one percent of the atmosphere. The climate alarmists seem to forget this fact.

Thai police searching for monkeypox-infected Nigerian man
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
What, this guy was on overstay, and he has disappeared? Why was he not kept in custody? Since my family doctor just told me today that this is a gay disease, maybe the gay population in Thailand should be told to be on the lookout for this fellow. Just saying. -

Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News

Tourism Revenue of 1.2 Trillion Baht Anticipated This Year
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Great forecast for the profits of expectations, but could Thailand Tourism also give us future tourists 60 days vacation in Thailand with no visa requirements? Just curious. -
Then tanks are completely self contained, and the water is just dipped and poured into the toilet. What is the problem? My Thai family has the same system in their house. When I grew up on the farm, we had a 40 gallon barrel that we kept the drinking water in. It was packed from a pond in Summer, and we melted blocks of ice, and snow in the Winter. I guess some people get shocked easily.

Bangkok Deluged! Massive disruption as 143 mm rainfall hits Thai capital
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
When it rains in Thailand, it really rains. Very impressive, glad I was not there. Good luck to all people affected, it will take some time to get the car or motor bike dried out. -
Yes I remember that Bar as well as Lollipop, and a few others. I once stayed a week at the Nana Hotel across the street. Ah the good old days, when I was much younger. People wore masks back then, because of the horrible pollution. The tuk tuks and green buses were the worst. I enjoyed riding the water taxis along the river though.

Thailand reports first case of Omicron BA.2.75 sub-variant
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Not sure if you heard the news, that if you get COVID more than 2 or 3 times, the chances of having long COVID symptoms become greater. There is studies going on about this issue. People are still dying from COVID, but if you have had your shots, you will likely only feel sick for 7 to 10 days. Then if you are like me, you will get bronchitis, and need more pills for 10 days longer. COVID is not the common flu, which also kills enough people every year. Just Saying.- 34 replies

Tourism Authority Targets 30 Million Tourists in 2023
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I wonder if TAT has ever gotten their forecast even close to the reality? With high gas prices all over, the cost of flying anywhere will likely still be high this coming Winter. With COVID numbers heading higher, there are already random checks again for people entering Canada. Guess we will all have to wait to see what the rules and restrictions will be from November until Spring of 2023. -
We are living in the hottest period for 125,000 years

Looks like more Brits and UK folks need to get larger fans or AC. Gets hot in Canada too for several Summer into Autumn days, but we pay a useless carbon tax to deal with the heat. How about all of you in Thailand, do you have to pay a carbon tax yet? No, well you are in the same boat as Russia, China, Australia, India, South America, USA and even some countries in Europe.

It usually takes 2 to 3 days for a body to resurface after drowning. Just saying. If you want to know why, google it.
