I am only going by the conversation and seeing her react with a few Thai girls. Some were very casual and pleasant. Others were all wierd.

I had mentioned in an early post that I liked his swagger – his confidence, his high standards and that he has means…and he plays XBOX. We exchanged a few PM’s, had a few things in common and decided to meet up for sushi and mohito’s. Wasn’t looking for free sushi or to check “bonafides” and didn’t really care how much of the myth was true or not, but my gut said he was legit.

His post got a little of track, so let be bring it back.

I’ll be the first to admit, my mental image of his girlfriend was a stuck up bitch that was never satisfied. I admit I was wrong. She is 6foot1 in heels. She is very pretty, well spoken and grounded. The photos were of her. She is not a ladyboy and does not look like a Russian hooker. It’s not about money.

And after meeting her I understand her problem. She does not hate Thailand or Thais. In fact I think she would like to have a normal Thai friend to hang out with sometimes, but so far the Thais see her as a way to advance their status. I’m sure there are Thais or farang out there for her to hang with, but I understand the challenge, and she knows it will take time, and she does try. But I am sure that meeting people in the US or Europe and the locations to do that would be much easier.

In a word, yes. He proved what he does and I’m not sure how much he wants me to say, but he undersold himself here. He is just a confident guy who has every right to be. He was open about what type of girls he likes and he has the game to get them.

Yeah, that frame is actually very beautiful. Should see it in the day time (it's night time for me). Yes the frame was definately extra. They mail the diploma in an envelope. It was the top of the line frame that the school sells for extra $$. (They make some extra cash selling the sweatshirts, the mugs, the watches with the emblem on it.) I didn't actually care what frame I put it in. But my mom wanted it.

It's precisely because I did that I wrote what I did. The people I was referring to I met at Stanford and at grad school. You would be impressed who I know, who I partied with, who I have dirty little secrets about from their days at college. You would know their names. However, people such as myself don't name drop. My Yellow Tabien Baan(YTB) experience.

I bought a new car and needed to provide a letter from Immigration as part of the process, as per normal.

I had been planning to get a YTB for a while an thought that instead of that letter from immigration for the car, I'd use it to get the YTB and then show that as proof of address.

Visited City Hall to get all the requirements. My first problem is that I needed the signature by the Pu Yai that he has known me several years. I also needed a local neighbor to say that he has also known me for several years. Now, I live very remote on a large property on the border of 2 Tambons, so I don't even know the Pu Yai or a neighbor from my Tambon, and I could not use my contacts from the Tambon I am closer to. I approached the Pu Yai and he agreed to sign for a fee, and he found a neighbor that would do the same. But the neighbor also needed to do an interview, so he needed some coaching. No issue.

Then my next problem, is that the Immigration documents that I got for "buying a new car", although identical for City Hall, except it had those words "buying a new car" on it. So, I had to go back to Immigration to get another one that stated "for Yellow Tabien Baan".

Next problem was that the 2 students who work the front desk at immigration insisted I needed a translation of my passport at my embassy, which I did and went back.

Then they said that unless I was married and could show the paper, I could not get a YTB. I am village married only.

I asked to speak to the Manager and explained the issue. He confirmed I needed to be married. Then he recalled that he had processed a Immigration Letter a few weeks back. He forgot that it was for a car and not YTB, so he processed it for me.

Then back to city hall, where everything was in order, except one small detail...how much was I going to pay the Head Guy? I explained that I have everything correct, all paperwork, documents, photos, signatures, wifes TB and ID card, so why pay a "fee"? He clearly said that if I don't he will never process it.

I paid a total of 4,000baht in supplemental "fees" and he processed it that day.

I finally have my YTB and the car dealership is happy. It took a while, but it was just the final piece of paper I wanted - after visa, WP, tax card, driving license.

My wife's 2 little nieces are 4 and 5yo and two weeks ago they got their first pair of brand new school shoes that they were so proud of.

I am looking for a part-time/casual jewelry presenter for TV shopping networks, Trade shows and various presentations and events. As the business has grown quickly, we need more than one presenter to avoid timing and travel conflicts between the growing TV network commitments.

The role will require frequent travel - USA, Canada, Australia, UK in particular and involve being a shopping TV Guest presenter for a range of jewelry.

The ideal person will have TV shopping experience or have retail jewelry/gemstone sales experience in the West. Full training will be provided in Bangkok on the jewelry and gemstone business and how to present on TV.

Person should have a passport that allows easy travel or visas - i.e. USA, UK, Australia, and given the amount of travel (at least once per month), a family situation that allows them to travel at short notice.

Position is not required to be in the office frequently, except for training or preparation for a show. A normal trip will be 4-6 days away and all expenses paid by company. Compensation will be paid per show - and could be a mix of fixed and commission depending on the person. Position is part-time/casual as required.

Age range would be 25-40yo and of pleasant personality. Male or female.
