  2. Seems and being dumb as you say is far from how many people, outside of foreigners, actualy feel about wearing a mask.
  3. My Passport is still good for another 7 years, which would allow for the Visa to be placed inside and then upon renewal time to have the Stamp moved to the new passport, but then I do understand what your saying.
  4. If it does occur, as I said before, I feel sorry for those who have gambling problems and their families. Had a mate who lost his house here in Thailand due to his wife having a gambling problem, and loosing his house in a game of Hi-Lo while he was out of the country dealing with his very ill mother.
  5. We shall see what Occurs on September 1st when the LTR Visa goes live. I to will drop the outpatient portion of my PCH since it sounds like it will not be needed. My extension of stay expires in November, and I usually do it 30 days early in October. I wonder if applying on September 1st or when the program is live, whether I will be able to stay on the same cycle.
  6. Ordered, all you have to do is ask the manager. The same anywhere that does not have it in the case. Had a Ring made for the GF as well from a shop, took 2 weeks, but it was delivered.
  7. He fears he is being oppressed by being told people are wearing masks.
  8. Your saying you paid the days spot gold price and the shop did not add in a shop commission of 400 baht. If that's the case then the shop either charged you a little more or they actually lost money or broke even o the sale for the day. Never seen a shop whether its a gold shop or a restaurant that gives away the item for the same price they paid for it, have to make a profit somehow to cover costs........
  9. Same prices as far as the shop fees. I have never seen a difference between China Town shops and Aurora. I just picked up a 2 Baht gold bracelet for the GF on Thursday at Aurora, they even gave us 2 nice whisky glasses, and a small travel bag as a gift. However, YMMV.
  10. As I stated yesterday and from the pictures I posted it appears that it has been put back in place in a few of the larger venues like Malls, that is mask wearing. Of course this makes some people really upset, but it is what it is.
  11. Well since I am only 57, I still have many more years to go my friend. Planning and hoping to be around at least another 30, so that I can get every penny and then more than I ever put into my pension fund.
  12. It is always the right time to buy gold, why wait until it hits what you think is Bottom. USD to Thb today makes it a great time
  13. I have never notice any higher charge from them versus buying from the shops on Yaowarat Road, in China Town here in BKK. As they are not gold ornaments, such as intricate bracelets or other Jewelry like rings, those can have a surcharge of 500 to 1000 Baht charged for the workmanship. For the bars I have been paying between 400 baht more than the daily spot price, for each of bars, and for which gold is selling for that day. The bars are 96.5% gold. You also need to watch them weigh the object as well as getting it in writing along with any warranty they may have.
  14. Back to the Asymptomatic issue just like when we started with the Covid Pandemic, and why masks were mandated. Full circle it appears....
  15. What do you want, 1 baht, 2 baht, 3 baht, 5 baht, or 10 baht bars. Aurora has branches through Thailand. I buy them in 2 baht, and 5 baht bars. However, with gold prices dropping I will be buying a 10 baht bar here soon. Add it to the pile in the safe, for a rainy day when the prices increase again or for old age.
  16. So Thailand is the only country that floods during certain seasons? Really? I Think you need to look over in Europe, the US, and other 1st world countries to see flooding there as well every year.
  17. They have already moved into Myanmar, and are just expanding their territories, maybe they are trying to re-establish Hindostan without pulling a Putin, or Xii.
  18. each with their own straw in their top pocket. Where were their vests with their colors if they were a gang.....oh wait for the RTP it was a gang bang acivity.....no plastic bags required.
  19. There are those who are required to have Insurance for their extensions of stay like those on O-A Visa extensions, or even those that have an ME O-A Visa. Those like myself already have to have insurance, so in essence it's a fee that's being charged to them, us, without the need of the 300 baht insurance which is now becoming mandatory, in effect a dual fee.....stupid.
  20. Of course the issue with the baggage handlers is as you state, many were laid off and yet why have they not been rehired under the plan laid out by Chancellor Rishi Sunak's job retention scheme, under which a government grant will help to cover the wages of employees who have to be put on furlough. Yet covid cases are on the rise in the UK: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/health/covid-cases-rising-uk-omicron-ba-5-b2123964.html Covid cases rise to 3.5 million in the UK, figures show Figures from Office for National Statistics show 29 per cent rise in infections Samuel Lovett Senior News Correspondent 3 hours ago Covid infections in the UK are continuing to rise, reaching 3.5 million last week, the latest figure show.
