  1. Complete chicanery is all this is. Lies and subterfuge by this government as usual.
  2. They have to make it look good in order to keep the dream of tourism alive and in peoples minds, regardless of what it is actually costing and if they are going into the hole financially or not. Appearance and FACE are the same.
  3. A weekend downtrend as Sunday is a day of rest, well for many in the Government. Yet I know that hospitals still have doctors working and still take appointments, both Government and Private Hospitals, as I had an appointment with my doctor yesterday at BNH. Just fewer working, so that could explain lower vaccination numbers, but then so could running low on vaccines and awaiting more to be delivered by the MOPH. Of course this is just my view.
  4. So those in blue would be true breakthrough cases ending in death. Now the question is which vaccine were they vaccinated with, however I see no blue on the chart at all.
  5. Today's daily total case numbers from the MOPH website. https://ddc.moph.go.th/viralpneumonia/eng/index.php At this rate we will see over 1 million cases by the months end and just under 10k deaths in totals. I am hopeful that with more people becoming vaccinated the numbers will eventually come dow. I would like to know how many of those vaccinated have had breakthrough cases. This of course will be the view for folks needing boosters.
  6. Exactly, that's what the failure to include all cases is.
  7. Your predictions of a peak are dreams I believe, but if you don't go big in your predictions then well you just need to go home without trying. Make sense now?, or not. It's a Monday and weekend numbers with little testing. Many are testing with the ATK rapid tests and not included in the numbers.
  8. It would be nice to see transparency on the number of Phuket residents vaccinated, and with what brand of vaccine, who have also had a breakthrough Infection of Covid. Trying to stay positive. However, without transparency all it does is create doubt amongst many and is therefore viewed in a negative light.
  9. Dreams are good. Go big or go home in Making predictions keeps a positive outlook.
  10. The reality is that this will be around for a long time unfortunately. I just saw that Pfizer, Moderna and J&J have applied to the FDA to change the status of their vaccines from one of emergency use to one a true and approved vaccination. Pfizer at the top for full approval it seems. https://www.wkrg.com/health/coronavirus/pfizers-covid-19-vaccine-expected-to-receive-full-fda-approval-by-labor-day-report-says/
  11. Soon to come, soon to come. September at the earliest as I posted in a previous post.
  12. You missed how many of the 15 k spent more than 14 days. My totals were if everyone was still in SHA+ and had been their all 39 days which we knows is not correct.
  13. Wow they must be selling the hell out of tourists trinkets and the new world famous Massaman Curry at inflated prices. How have just under 15,000 folks spent 1 billion baht in 39 days. Only way feasible would be each of the 15k spending almost 2k baht a day for all 39 days, but then we know that there were many folks that used the sandbox as an alternative ASQ so they could get home to other locales in Thailand, including Thai's. Must have been a few of those High spending monied tourists Thailand has been luring here. Or did a few also buy new homes and condos and those costs were included in the 1 Billion.
  14. CCTV is on the main traveled routes, and this waterfall is a big tourist attraction. With many people traveling on that road and parking along it they obviously thought a camera was needed to monitor the area. Maybe they had prior reports of thefts in the Area, drug dealing etc.....who knows. Why slam them for having a CCTV camera there. You might want to look around you, you might be surprised how many there are and yes the Government ones do work sometimes better than those on the building fronts.
  15. Possibly by September as the big 3 have already applied with Moderna being the last one https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/18/covid-vaccines-what-full-fda-approval-means-for-you.html
  16. And it starts. Wasn't an amnesty bill the topic which submarined Yinglucks tenure. Pun intended by the way.

    Food

Talked with the local 7-11 and found that they are having ordering problems as suppliers stocks are low. One has to wonder if it's important issues or it's incountry Factory/Plant related and due to covid cases. If so this will take awhile to reconcile itself
  18. Even vaccinated with Moderna or Pfizer may not protect her as she wishes. She is not the only cancer survivor in limbo either. She wants assurances she will be safe to travel. So many folks on here who are not themselves immunocompromised will never understand her concerns. Being immunicrompromised myself I get it. However I worked with my endocrinologist and his peers and it was found the AZ vaccine would or could possibly help my issue. Not everyone is the same and cancer is a different character. https://www.statnews.com/2021/05/14/uncertain-protection-from-covid-vaccines-leaves-cancer-patients-in-limbo/
  19. Mailed mine 5 weeks ago, yes it was only 14 days before the due date which is the 19th of July. Sure its only been 3 weeks since the 90 day was actually due, but why does it take them so fricking long to mail them back like many of you are saying especially if it was sent by EMS with an EMS stamped and noted self addressed return B4 envelope. I wonder if they only weed through the pile once a week to process them at CW
  20. Yes sir good that they walked in and took over in order to ensure there was a more corrupt group in power. By the way where is Suthep hiding now....
  21. Tonight as we made our deliveries to the few families we have adopted on the side sois around us, we watched as two of the Covid response ambulances arrived at an older apartment complex where there are 10 separate buildings. Two plain white vans also followed them in and when I asked Nan, the mother of a family of 3 kids we assist what she thought, she said and I quote her "They come twice a day and take between 6 and 8 people away" She then pointed out to the man in the complex wearing a white PPE suit and said he has been spraying all day around the complex to sanitize. She and her family were tested two days ago by a team that visited the Area and were using the Rapid test kits, thankfully they were negative. She is deathly afraid of her children being separated from her if they become sick.
