How much do the average Thai person earn ?
ThailandRyan replied to Baron Samedi's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
If you know how Thailand works then you would understand the nature and way people are paid, especially migrant workers. There is nothing more important to a company or a person than making and saving money by paying less than what you believe folks should be getting. Sorry to burst your bubble but your one of only a few who treat their workers with respect and care and we are a very minor amount of employers.. I have employed my Housekeeper now for 3 years and prior to working for me she never was employed longer than 3 or 4 months as the employers treated her like feces.. -
I'll lead Tories into next election, says embattled Liz Truss

She did not last long. Wonder who the next up may be? Any ideas who could lead the UK out of the dark days that seem to have set in? -
Another (death) blow to Patong's embattled tourism industry

100% in agreement, had some great trips to Phuket, Cape Panwa, but those easy times are done for with tourism returning en-mass. -

I think I am thinking of the roadway you are describing that runs along the beach. -

I thought there was some kind of a house or structure down at the bottom of that hillside that had beach access, maybe my memory is poor. I used to drive that road, ride it as well many times a week when I lived in Rawai and Chalong over a 5 year period. -

They need to span that curve in the road, always have many accident there and then down the hill into the straight away. But by spanning that downhill section they will avoid it ever slipping out again. -

800k a month, your serious? That is CEO level compensation over 9 Mthb a uear or 370k USD a year. Never heard of an IT guy making that much. My son-in-law is a senior IT guy fir a computer company in Pirtland he makes around 140k USD a year and he has been doing it for over 10 years. -
When you show up and sit down at a police station with a ???? your asking for help, be it medical attention, help in assisting you because your mentally unstable because of an incident, but not because your just angry alone. Many variables go into why someone does or is doing something. Mental illness or an imbalance is always a possibility. As a 34 year LEO and a Mental health professional I have pretty much observed it all. Passion driven anger escalates quickly and then deescalates just as quick. Your trying to tell me that she was just angry, that I don't buy. She was seeking help. The article says in finding her boyfriend, but I can quarantine you thete was more to the story with her needing some personal assistance and an evaluation to see where she was on a mental and psychological level. That's why police take it slow, so that they evaluate the totality of the situation before just walking g up and grabbing the knife like you believe should have probably been done since you called them pathetic in how long it took to deescalte the situation.

Many folks in the US buy a house between 30 years of age and then after having a family and kids sell off the smaller home and buy another larger home, and so by the time they are still in their late 50's they are still making payments. Most home loans/mortgages are for 30 years. I retired at 52 and was making payments on my primary house which I sold upon moving to Thailand permanently instead of going back and forth. Here I bought a penthouse condo in BKK, and now a house in the southern HH/Pranburi Area. Paid cash for them. I have rental properties which make me income, but if I were to return to the US now I would buy a new home and if I did not have the million plus USD to buy a house where I would want, then I would be making house payments and ergo why my income stream from my pension would be greatly reduced with paying a mortgage, paying car insurance, buying another vehicle to get around in, and paying for my insurance both medical and dental. Having retirement income of over 15k USD a month as well as the income from the rentals lets me live how I want here in Thailand, but then moving back to the US and traveling back and forth would be tight. Yes I applied and obtained the LTRWP Visa, a no brainer for 10 years.

New LTR 10 year visa
ThailandRyan replied to roquefort's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
50k Thb, averages 5k Thb a year for 10 years. However you get a multiple reentry permit good for all 10 years as well and no funds needed in a Thai bank like for the extensions of stay. -
Sounds like time to wear a wet suit to swim in or get a pool heater added. Here in HH Khao Tao we swimming year around. Sure it gets nippy but then it's refreshing, except when the wind blows.

This is an area where I do not believe an agent can help you. You either have the proof of financials which you up-load and they confirm or you do not qualify. Go to this Link as it is an ongoing OP and has answers you may have questions about: https://aseannow.com/topic/1265383-ltr-long-term-retirement-visa-thailand-is-finally-changing/
