Again your view, which you want to bellow from the highest mountain while thumping your chest and yelling. People are different here and it's not always about what foreigners think they should do. I still wear a mask when out in the masses, but that is my prerogative. It is not your prerogative to tell others how to live. My GFs daughter has had no problem in learning nor is she depressed because she can not see a smile or watch the mouth of her teachers or others.

how went the enlgebert humperdinck gig??

He is 86, next May will be 87. Why do people have an issue with his age or if he is still alive and singing. The man has obviously taken care of himself a hell of a lot better than some, or maybe he just has good genetics. -
Renting and taking a sabbatical with two school age children with my sister being a teacher and the husband owning a Bang N Olufsen franchise.....not going to happen. They have the income, but it is why they canceled the Christmas vacation trip to see us from December 17th to the 3rd of January, the flights here have doubled from what they were pre-covid, so that money will be used for their extra bills.....Not sure how folks who need to heat their homes in Europe and the east coast of the US to keep them from having damage while they are gone can afford the flights to head here for a few months in addition to the heating bill.

Wow cheap as chips you live. Between the house near Pranburi and the Condo in Sathorn I pay what I posted. Sometimes more. But I have a pool at the house south of HH and we stay there 2 weeks every month and then the 136sqm Condo in Bangkok the other 2 weeks. We also have dryers to dry our clothes in instead of hanging them. In the US my sister just paid the equivalent of 25k thb for her power bill.

I had the same experience but instead of at the register it was handled at the accounting office in the corner of the Rama 3 Makro store where they process the deliveries.

Played pretty good for someone you think was dead. https://www.huahintoday.com/hua-hin-news/engelbert-humperdinck-makes-hua-hin-even-more-romantic-with-seaside-concert-at-intercontinental-hua-hin-resort-and-gets-charmed-himself-during-first-ever-visit-to-city/ -
I think you are 100% incorrect in your view of Big Joke. He was trying to clean up the corruption and was moved to an inactive post because of it. During this time his vehicle was also riddled with bullets in an attempt to scare him away. He then sued the PM and was re-instated, and recently promoted back up to the top table. He had cracked down on many corrupt activities and I believe he has tremendous dirt on this Government. Making a martyr out of him would have been a bad move as he more than likely has the dirt ready to be displayed should anything happen to him, so in a way he holds all of the cards and never would put himself in the position you post about.

Did you not read my post above....This is how. Read the last sentence in the link..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Thai_Police In mid-2015, Pol Gen Somyot Phumphanmuang, Royal Thai Police Commissioner, initiated a program to allow officers to purchase US-made, 9 mm SIG Sauer P320 pistols[34] for 18,000 baht each. The Thai market price for this gun is several times higher. The affordable price is made possible by a special police exemption from import quotas and import duties.[35][36] In December 2017, 150,000 SIG Sauer P320SP pistols became available for purchase by police for 23,890 baht each. The RTP will, in addition, distribute 55,000 of the new pistols to police stations nationwide, each station receiving 60

True to an extent, but in order to ensure everyone was carrying a similar weapon the RTP bought guns to be sold to the officers. Yet as you can see from the last sentence of which I quoted from the Wikipedia link each station received 60 handguns to be held in the armories. This was so that if an officers handgun was needing repair he or she would be issued one from the armory. These are more than likely the guns the armorer in the OP stole. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Thai_Police In mid-2015, Pol Gen Somyot Phumphanmuang, Royal Thai Police Commissioner, initiated a program to allow officers to purchase US-made, 9 mm SIG Sauer P320 pistols[34] for 18,000 baht each. Maybe he was the station armorer and kept the numbers fudged. Then someone either found an individual with a police gun who should not have had it or an arrest was made in another case where a police gun was located at the scene. One wonders if a monthly audit is ever done here on evidence or equipment like we do in the west. I see I was correct to him being the armorer.....
