The pop ups I only see on my cell phone and the last few days the pop ups are causing the phone to freeze and Chrome to stop working, so I have deleted the Aseanow forum from my phone and only use the laptop. It was so annoying as i tried to type a comment the pop up add would cover the box and I would X it out after it allowed it and when I started to type again the add would pop up again and then the app would freeze.....

Yet according to another poster Tourism doesn't play a role in the baht's swings based upon the speculative nature this government uses. To me it is like a stock pump and dump and then a rehash again and again. Yet he states it is based upon the strength of the USD.........regardless. He must be a billionaire, but I doubt that. I speculated on gold and won, speculated on crypto currency and won, speculated on energy stocks and won, but then to him that's not speculating either, well maybe not, more like gambling.

Could be depending on the type of aircraft used. Yet it still becomes a very large number based upon the numbers of Flights AOT is stating/predicting/speculating will happen.

Predicting or guarantying as the words this government uses in many Stories in the media as well as statements by TAT, The PM, and the BOT are just speculatory, but then you know that. For those that think it will elevate the GDP, maybe. But stories like this create speculation as to how much money will be spent and help to strengthen the baht by inflows.

Another OP up and running which will cause the baht to strengthen because of speculation in the Tourism industry of Billions being spent is the supposed Millions of Chinese flying in on over 1400 flights per day.

So 1, 456 flights landing every day, with an average of 500 on each flight that means 750k Chinese tourists for the month so far. Add in the extra and what they are saying will come, and if no slowdown during the low season then Thailand may very well see 10 million plus Chinese this year....that's a huge number. Now that this is being bandied about and speculation of GDP occurs because of this lets watch the baht sink back down from where it is today. It is stories like this that cause such fluctuations as well as the current OP running regarding a slowing of exports......looks like 20+% of GDP is now what they say tourism accounts for.

Not quite correct. Many did not start travelling again until this year and then the Chibese lifted their ban as well. The majority of tourists also since December are Russian. Seems the decline in exports is also being seen with the swing in the baht, where it was not expected to occur due to tourism. Speculation is the driving force and to me is like a stock pump and dump.
