Covid Count Reaches Around 2,800-3,889 A Day In Thailand

Yet it is still dangerous for unvaccinated and those elderly who have been vaccinated. Not saying wear a mask all day and forever, but when out and about in a crowded location using common sense and having one available is not a hard thing to do, except for those that bow there backs, are anti markers and anti vaxxers. My doctors offices here in Thailand request that you wear one while inside, but it's not mandatory, it's common sense. -

This from the actual conclusion and Authors note, so your view is tainted as far as not reading the whole article. Authors' conclusions: The high risk of bias in the trials, variation in outcome measurement, and relatively low adherence with the interventions during the studies hampers drawing firm conclusions -
Why do many shops close during the daytime in this video?
ThailandRyan replied to Goodboybkk's topic in General Topics
Near the end of the videoT 21:49 you see a man pushing a cart and it appears he is possibly getting into position for tge day. On another note and to be honest many places which closed during Covid have not reopened yet. A question for you would be to also find out what day of the week this is and at what time of the day? Many shops and stalls are closed on Mondays, and many shops do not open up until 11 am. Just some Info. -
Burmese worker cant renew expired passport
ThailandRyan replied to seajae's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
From talking to my GF and her family, the passports have been cut off in Myanmar, but some locations outside are still issuing them, much like I indicated, but the door on that could also shut. The Myanmar government seems to want all there people to return to Myanmar, but then there are few jobs available. It is not just the war that's made people leave. -

Be a drop in the bucket compared to the number of Chinese flights and passengers they have forecast.....but Prayut said 200 million would arrive......these folks really do need to think before they speak. Its because of this speculation that folks speculate on the baht and then it stays Teflon against the other currencies, even when the predictions are wrong, but then maybe that's the plan.

Burmese worker cant renew expired passport
ThailandRyan replied to seajae's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Her last 3 extensions were for 1 year, but the first one was given in 2018 and was for 2 years on the Non L-A. It seems they should all be for 2 years but immigration and the agents are making money by making them jump through the hoops yearly. The medical that must be completed is good for 2 years and you have to also pay for a Health Insurance policy. As I will be marrying my partner soon I will convert her extension to one as a dependent based upon my having received the new LTR visa. Tired of the constant issues. Good luck with the passport. -

Burmese worker cant renew expired passport

Unfortunately that's Phuket. My housekeepers daughter, and her niece just last week obtained there new work permits here in Hua Hin, both for two years. They also picked up their passports at the Embassy in Bangkok the 2nd week of January after the Embassy had updated the computer systems at the Embassy. This was the reason they gave late last year for not doing new passports and why my GF and Housekeeper, using an agent in Nonthaburi, were driven to the Chiang Mai consulate where they did their new passport applications. 2 weeks later they had their new passports and the agent took them to Div 1 in BKK where the old Stamps were moved to the new PP. In January, since their extensions were expiring on Feb 13th along with the work permits, I hired an agent here in PKK/Hua Hin who obtained a two year extension for them based upon the Non L-A, and then obtained the new digital 2 year work permits, of which I have all copies off. Sorry if your having a hard time believing this. Yes a foreigner can also hire a worker from Myanmar while on a retirement Visa/extension of stay and does not need a work permit themselves as many will try and tell you. Looks like you link is indicative of something happening now but getting the passport is still possible according to the agent we used. My GF's brother is in the process now with the agent. -
1910÷7 = so 273 flights a day just of Chinese. How can the AOT handle all those extra flights when they are still having all of the regular flights land. Just yesterday we saw an OP on Suvarnabhumi trying to return to getting folks through immigration and baggage. As far as I know the extra 60 desks are not even out for a bid to be built. 6,318 more flight requests will add another 902 flights per day. Please tell me just how they will manage the influx of almost 600k passengers per day, just from China. Looks like they believe the PM of 200illion coming this year...... 555+

Not sure where you have been trying to get the new passport, but the Bangkok Embassy started to re-issue them just a few weeks back, and many had ques they had been issued back last September. My GF needed a new passport as almost all of those from Myanmar's passports expired in November of last year, 2022. I used an agent in Nonthaburi to secure a seat on a van that they took up to Chiang Mai as the consulate back in October was the only place where they would do a new PJ passport for workers. The issue is they were only doing 200 appointments a day and it took 2 weeks for the passport to be returned to the agent along with the new one. The other issue is that work permits need to be renewed as well as most of them are expiring this week. The Government has given an extension until May to obtain the work permits for those on a Non L-A Visa extension, and they can be issued for either 1 year or 2 years depending on the type of work. I went through the exact same issue with my housekeeper and now all is good, New Passport and 2 year work permit which are now digital. -

Khon Thai Pracharath housing projects in seven provinces scrapped

So let me understand this. The land is government owned, the houses were supposed to be for low income earners, and the construction companies were to fund the houses. Why is the government not funding the builds and handling the loans? Or did money already exchange hands and did it find its way elsewhere like the police station housing money....
