  1. That's why I used to fly Business/First class, but now no need as I can use the fast track lanes with my LTR Visa......yet I still have to wait for the damned baggage, unless I fly with just a carryon.
  2. Well they must have had a support boat to follow them over and around the bay and into the Krabi Area, or maybe they were towed by a submarine.....or wait they used them to pull the Thai Governments new Submarine since it is engineless......
  3. Wonder what price he paid as the infused gummies are not cheap here. That shoukd have been an indicator they were not just gummies. I buy harino gummues for the daughter and a pack runs 20 baht for around 15 in the pack...I paid around 500 baht for a small jar of edible gummies which had 5 in the bottle at a shop in Phuket Town a few weeks back. The strength is not the same in any one of them quality control is an issue as of now. Not like the edible gummies from the US. Helps me sleep with my back and beck pain. Definitely not fir the kids. BTW all the edible gummies I see in shops are in the shape of a Marijuana leaf...
  4. Congratulations to you and all the others who have recently obtained your LTR Visas.
  5. Why? give us your thoughts so the points can be debated, or do you believe all smoking should be banned?
  6. Let's hope it speeds things up as well as hoping all immigration booths are up and running at peak times. My daughters will be flying in to visit soon and the last thing they want after a two day flight from the US is to stand in line for umpteen hours like the last time they came.
  7. Vape e-juices have taken a turn towards being not as chemically dangerous as far as now being diacetyl-free e-liquids.
  8. So wait, vaping leads to regular smoking of cigarettes? Is this guy aware people turn to vaping to stop smoking and then there are clean e-juice fluids which have no diacetyl in it!!!!! Yet smoking Marijuana is good for your health and lungs....
  9. Just distasteful to use sexual orientation in a headline.....what has the world become when news needs to be sensationalized by adding certain terms to the tag line.
  10. Here's the envelope, oh it's too thin, well sorry can't give more to the backers if I give you more....I guess we will just close as per the regulations...no money needed.
  11. Never made sense to me why they did that in the first place. When it occurs they need to give the student and the male counterpart parenting classes as well....no extra fees.
  12. Do some better research please, the Cochrane research is not a study in itself but research of many studies including influenza and there conclusions are inconclusive. So if you want to play the game look at the real article and read it all the way through.
  13. Read the Cochrane study and not a diatribe piece written by an individual with a known conspiracy pseudoscience driven agenda and bias. Search Results for https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-11767137/PETER-HITCHENS-masks-pointless-apology.html Pseudoscience Dictionary: Mask Misinformation Pseudoscience: Consists of statements, beliefs, or practices that are claimed to be both scientific and factual but are incompatible with the scientific method (unproven, not testable, or…
  14. Read the actual Cochrane review in its entirety and not a synopsis by an individual who has an agenda please. The Cochrane Review did not do an independent study on its own, they just reviewed many of the studies done prior to Covid on mask wearing. They say they are uncertain as the evidence and studies they researched had low adherence with interventions. Do yourself a favor and do a little more research of your own instead of believing agenda driven articles. https://www.cochrane.org/CD006207/ARI_do-physical-measures-such-hand-washing-or-wearing-masks-stop-or-slow-down-spread-respiratory-viruses Key messagesWe are uncertain whether wearing masks or N95/P2 respirators helps to slow the spread of respiratory viruses based on the studies we assessed. Authors' conclusions: The high risk of bias in the trials, variation in outcome measurement, and relatively low adherence with the interventions during the studies hampers drawing firm conclusions. There were additional RCTs during the pandemic related to physical interventions but a relative paucity given the importance of the question of masking and its relative effectiveness and the concomitant measures of mask adherence which would be highly relevant to the measurement of effectiveness, especially in the elderly and in young children. There is uncertainty about the effects of face masks. The low to moderate certainty of evidence means our confidence in the effect estimate is limited, and that the true effect may be different from the observed estimate of the effect.
  15. It will be like a sucker punch to the TAT and the economy as belts tighten due to funds diminishing for certain classes.
  16. Give it a rest. Admit your mistaken and move on. https://thesaurus.plus/related/predict/speculate Predict and Speculate Related words mutual synonyms collocations Predict Predict verb - To tell of or describe beforehand. Speculate and predict are semantically related. in forecast topic. In some cases you can use "Speculate" instead a verb "Predict". Now it's done...the end and aloha.
  17. Remember some agents sometimes have better contacts. I went through 4 in BKK who said I could not hire a Myanmar worker unless I had a work permit. They were wrong. Finally found an agent in Nonthaburi who could do the paperwork and my housekeeper obtained a blue work permit book, this time the same agent got her her passport as I indicated and we just did the work permit here in Hua Hin. My GFs brother was just given his new work permit via his employer in Bangkok, last week. Many times in the past the work permit offices do just Myanmar workers during a certain time. Let me know if you need my agent in BKKs info @seajae PM sent.
  18. His spotlight on Habitat for humanity is one of my all time favorite things the man has done to help humanity. For years we as a family supported the project by funding and going on trips/missions to help build the needed housing. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://dallasareahabitat.org/jimmy-carter-habitat-the-story/%23:~:text%3DBuilding%20the%20Foundation,Georgia%2C%20where%20Habitat%20was%20founded.&ved=2ahUKEwiauP65t6D9AhUK4DgGHcm-BNQQFnoECBMQBQ&usg=AOvVaw1y_bSqqcm-488BdK55wlpz
  19. No they will be appointed by the care taker government when Prayut dissolves the house. He will make himself the caretaker, another Sham.
  20. I have been sorted and flush for years...lol. fluctuations like a roller coaster in the exchange rates should rarely occur in giant swings like they have since Last October. I don't need to transfer money but for those that do because of the inflation and economy I see there happiness as well as there frustration living on a fixed income. Thailand unlike other countries speaks daily about their GDP expectations, tourism number expectations, how many billions and trillions the visitors will spend and so on with revised forecasts monthly. One person says this another that and many times they are in contrast with each other. Economic detractors abound and the economies of almost all countries are unstable. Will the west be hit with a recession or a slow fall is all we hear about and the interest rates keep climbing as the Fed tries to stave off a sharp drop yet unemployment and layoffs in the thousands keep occurring, so just how can these folks travel without funds to cover costs at home and abroad. It's like balancing on a Seesaw. It should all balance out in the end. If one has not saved for that rainy day then they are in a world of hurt when sharp fluctuations, like we are seeing now, hit. But then that's just my view. I hedge my bets on things I can see not predictions and speculation, which are synonymous by the way. Read this this morning and this is where speculation does occurr. https://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/080613/effects-currency-fluctuations-economy.asp A strong domestic currency exerts drag on the economy, achieving the same result as a tighter monetary policy (i.e. higher interest rates). In addition, further tightening of monetary policy at a time when the domestic currency is already strong may exacerbate the problem by attracting hot money from foreign investors seeking higher yielding investments (which would further strengthen the domestic currency)
  21. It's what I have on my phone, and I also carry my Pink ID card and have my DL in my wallet. Been using the Pink card to register at hotels the last year as we traveled around. Been stopped in many chekkpoints over the years, never asked for my PP just my license..
  22. It's called inflation, when I eat that stuff my stomach inflates because of the gas it causes. Can't find Beano around here at all. Gotta order it if I want to eat beans.
  23. Here's an old article from Richard Barrow read into it what you may: https://www.richardbarrow.com/2013/08/always-carry-your-passport-or-a-copy-while-in-thailand/ TIPS ON CARRYING YOUR PASSPORT Although the law says you need to carry your passport at all times, this isn’t actually very practical. It’s not really a good size to fit in your wallet. Plus, if you lose it or it gets wet, then it can get very expensive and time consuming to get it replaced. So, I have been told by Immigration officers that it is perfectly acceptable to carry a photocopy.
  24. So he can't be hit with tomatoes thrown by the opposition I belive.
