The carcinogens in tobacco do not include nicotine. It's the tobacco itself that causes cancer by clogging up the lungs and preventing mucas from clearing. Tobacco addiction is to nicotine and to the products of combustion but it is the products of combustion that cause cancer. Whereas it is best to keep your lungs as clear as possible vaping is infinitely better than tobacco. Better to licence vaping and control the vaping liquid!

You are lucky to find an Agent that does Marriage Extensions! Normally the fee isn't sufficient to cover all eventualities!
-
Pattaya is very interested in the source and amount of income even for a Marriage Extension and question you on this. In my case they accepted P60s and Dep of Work and Pensions statements which is the same data I presented to the UK Embassy the previous year for the Income letter. Apart from the Bank Certification it is best to be prepared with source of income data especially for a retirement extension.
The 3 recalcitrant Embassies should restore income certification and stop this nonsense!
-
Time for the UK USA and Australian Embassies to start doing their jobs like all the others and certify income to the satisfaction of TI. If TI can do it and all other Embassies can do it so can the 3 who are avoiding their responsibilities. Time to stop this nonsense!

Best to get a new Non O from home country every time you come which is less onerous financially. Non O with extensions is mainly for people who live in Thailand. Income Letters need to be new for each extension.

Depends on the lease terms as to who is responsible. Normally you would be responsible for cleaning and maintenance and landlord responsible for replacement if beyond repair. Believe the unit is working if it is producing condensate so probably your responsibility to maintain. By not paying rent you have broken the contract. By not replacing the unit if it stopped working the landlord has broken the contract.
If it was me I would have repaired or maintained myself and continued to pay the rent. If the technician says it cannot be repaired I would give 2 months notice that the landlord is breaking the contract and move out. Unfortunately you will most probably loose your deposit in any event but will have complied with the contract. In reality tenants would probably negotiate with the landlord as it would take more than 2 months to regain possession through the Courts and the landlord will probably have to replace the unit before reletting

Difficult to prevent this when copies of ID and Tabian Bahn are asked for by all and sundry. My wife scrawls all over the copies she provides the use to which they are intended (except TI of course!)

Does look different to the previous one in that it actually has a Submit button which it didn't have before. Unfortunately I have just applied for my extension at Jomtien so I look forward to many successful uses of it before my next attempt.
Just checked old app and all my data is still there with a Waiting for Submit still showing.

Yes had the same problem on website/chrome until my wife had a go and it accepted the data- she said it was because the system wouldn't accept dates less than one year apart on the valid to section? Think it needs a Thai to understand it. If you did the app before the website can see they might be mutually exclusive?

Always found ladies on desk 8 to be firm but fair. Pushing it somewhat to exit the country without doing a TM30- on return. Didn't you have a new TM6 in your passport.

Assuming you are too young for a retirement visa via an agent you will need to do a border run for a new O visa. Then set up a company in say HC to pay you a regular amount via FTT for the marriage extension. You could set up a Thai company but that would mean paying tax.

UK Post Office Track and Trace from UK address works for me cost 7gbp. Tracking works in UK and Thailand. Tried DHL once and the package arrived ripped apart and tapped back together. Never again!

Jomtien Chonburi experience 6 Aug
They accepted 6mths of Transferwise BB FTT transfers plus Pension Statements from all provider's the last transfer being the day before the application.
A problem would have occurred if the most recent wasn't identified as such.
I had no problem in July with Transferwise as they have set me up with a recipient tagged as only through BB as an FTT.
Agents don't like doing Marriage extensions. If I were doing a retirement extension I would use an agent and avoid the paperwork and stressful visits.
TM30s were not mentioned although we have successfully completed one on line this week to be on the safe side if Bangkok are checking.

Very irritating when individual's say just put the funds in the bank and forget about them. Why should we tie up our hard won resources and if an emergency arises as they always will be forced to leave Thailand where we have significant non liquid investment such as property and responsibilities such as a family to support.
Agents seem to have no difficulty managing the financials for extensions so accepting the deposit requirements forced on us due to Embassies inability to deal with TI and TI's coping with the fallout is sufficiently irritating without enduring crass statements that you shouldn't live in Thailand if you can't afford to invest 800k in the Thai banking system!
Same applies to those who say the same about compulsory medical cover for all being an acceptable price for living in Thailand a further 100k pa invested with little hope of a return.

Took me from e mail acceptance on 1July to email ID and password on 22Aug. Then took from then to today to understand the data entry and get it saved. It's not easy!

Uàpdate on on line TM30
Took from 1july to 22Aug to get ID and password (Jomtien Chonburi) and many many attempts to get data saved. Needed my wife to interpret visa type and dates even though I had it in English before we got the data saved.
Wanted to get it done before visiting TI for extension stamp to a avoid possible problems.
TM30 on line is much more difficult to understand than 90 day on line!

How do you use an XL format?
Do you enter the data in English or Thai?
-
Thanks but tried that and the data had not saved. Tried again with data transferred to table below and it still didn't save? In both cases I logged back in?
-
We too have received an ID and password and have entered my details on the site but are unable to save. Can anyone help us save and receive an acknowledgment?

At Jomtien Chonburi even though I had updated my account with a credit advice the day before with a bank letter they sent me to get a certified same day transaction with a certified copy of my bank book showing the 100 but deposit on the day of application from the bank next-door. Complete overkill! They must have received some very comprehensive forgeries to require this. Agents of course don't have this problem!

Hope?
Just got my ID and password after many weeks wait and tried to enter my details (on behalf of my wife). Got to the end and copied to their table but have idea if this has been saved in their system so entered again and tried to save and still no feedback. Went to the search facility but couldn't find any of my entries. What exactly is it that confirms I have successfully submitted my TM30?

Start from beginning with O visa outside the country and convert to long stay inside country. Probably best to use agent for the conversion

At Jomtien/Chonburi they accepted non translated pension P60s and Pension Service statement plus 6mths of FTTs in BB letter which were all TransferWise. Don't understand why anybody has a problem with setting up a specific recipient with Transferwise via BB which always shows as FTT. Just talk/e mail them!

You will need all your International Transfers listed out in your banks letter totalled at the bottom and stamped and signed by the bank!
