Why don't you restore Income letters in the same way 80 other embassies provide. Your embassy used to provide on the basis of pension statements released to you by applicants thus negating any data protection requirements.
What are you doing about TI OA insurance requirements which are extraordinarily expensive and not available for over 75s or preexisting conditions.
What are you doing about the grossly unfair freezing of UK state pensions in Thailand Australia and Canada when many other random Countries are not frozen.

This stretch of road is a racetrack with bikes and cars speeding to be first at the next lights- the u turns are extremely dangerous and often closed to stop people crossing 8 lanes to MACRO. Even when shut bikes still cross the central reservation. Age is only an issue as it appears the younger they are the less experienced they are and the faster they drive!

We have a bungalow on 3 registered plots but only one address and the tax office counts it as 1 property. By the way land tax has always existed.

I understand that the duel track through Pattaya will be elevated. This will make it difficult to finish by 2023!

Having worked for a Housing Association set up by the Jewish Community in Haringey and Islington I can personally vouch that Jeremy is an Inspiration to us all. If the UK were so fortunate as to have him as Prime Minister I would feel the need to return to the UK to live out my remaining years. My heart soared when I saw his latest manifesto!

Has CM said they are requiring insurance retrospectively on historic OAs? Haven't seen a report to that effect?
If so they are wrong and clarification from CW sought.
Change to O seems the correct response.
Comments such as 'Get it or Get out' are singularily unhelpful to an 80 yr old

Think your own temporary plate in the back window will suffice plus a note in Thai about plate on order or try renting some red plates from a local dealer?

It is so easy to check your meter when everything is turned off!
You should do this regularly as a matter of course and not wait until you have received a high bill. Also leaks can be clearly heard at night especially if you have a pump.
The water company worked this out remotely! Your tenancy should have a clause about reporting leaks in good time. I think your landlord is being generous in sharing the bill!

Think it best not to mention working the system on a UK address as if they twig they can demand it all back. For me peace of mind is all.

Yes had an unusual problem 2days ago and couldn't get in first to their website and secondly after entering ID and password. Next day it worked ok. Got the impression it was overloaded.

At Jomtien tried 4 per A4 sheet to save ink and IO said no and wanted 1 per sheet which in duplicate drained my printer

Transferwise and Bangkok Bank best combination of lowest fees and highest exchange rate plus each transfer identified as FTT for TI

Took us many attempts to register and only after my wife interpreted the intent of each field and then a 6 week wait for the ID and password

Clear to me that as OA does not require financials other than 20k cash and permits 1-2 years stay TI are concerned that medical costs are not covered during that period whereas an O is converted to an extension based on 400k or 600k pa or 40k or 65k pm after 90 days covering medical costs. Believe this is the rationale.

At Jomtien they accepted bank letter listing 40k FTT deposits each month plus pension statements showing source. Best to avoid averaging.

Blame it on Boris!
TW believed him and cleared the decks for Brexit -silly people!
I did a TW transfer from the UK yesterday and it arrived today as promised.
On the FTT issue TW set me up with a specific recipient tagged as BB via BB and it has worked 17 times as an International Transfer so I don't see what the problem is? Don't think TI would have any issue with 1 day but as I say tell them Boris spreads chaos.

For O visa extensions TI check funds in Thailand so no insurance needed. For OA renewals on the bounce TI can't check that funds are available in Thailand so insurance needed. QED

Which companies insure 70-75 the olds??

Anyone have a map of the plots they are reclaiming? I am quite close to the existing track in Banglamung.

The reason insurance applies only to Non Imn OAs is that they allow 1 years stay without cash or income in a Thai Bank to cover health emergencies. Extensions require cash in bank or income.

So what happens to all the other consulate services they supply such as Thai passport renewals? This is not the UK Thai Embassy so I would expect a more responsible approach!

Not true-once you have an account you can go on line and set it all up. The only thing my branch was interested in was my pension going in every month.

UK Embassy asked for original documents and returned them after so they were clearly able to verify. There was an attempt at an 'agreement' with the 3 richest Embassies hoping the others would fall in line. One Embassy was going to follow the 3 others and reversed their decision. The USA UK and Australian Embassies should also restore income certification. It is wrong to accept an injustice just because it happened over a year ago.
