  1. To spite the AN lawyers who advise overstayers to pay their fine at the airport before boarding a booked flight to avoid detention😀
  2. Standard off-the-shelf electrically driven water pumps are reliable and longlifed with routine maintenance. 🙄
  3. The Chinese builder is unlikey to commence construction until the revised contract is signed by all parties. The Thai cabinet has yet to approve the purchase. Effectively, the engine needs to be installed before the pressure hull is completed. The sub is powered by an electric motor fed from a battery. The motor drives an electrical generator to charge the battery and electric motor when surfaced.
  4. And, will likely end up moored alongside its sister vessel, the aircraft carrier monument.
  5. Pity that Thai infrastructure, in general, does not support wheelchair users.
  6. I'm impressed that food inspectors are being stringent on the need to maintain quality in exported produce. It is vital in ensuring that overseas buyers have continued confidence in their large-scale purchases. Last week, from a local UK Asian market, I bought an unfamiliar brand of imported Thai Hom Mali rice marked as five star. It turned out to be the best steamed rice in every respect that I have eaten in my lifetime including in Thailand.
  7. According to the previous post, the accommodation was 'free'. 😀
  8. The mother is reported as saying...... "It is unacceptable that a child could fall into an open drain". It is also unacceptable, in my view, that a three-year old should be allowed to play, unsupervised, on a road.
  9. First responder: "My name is Somchai. Thank you for confirming your vision is unaffected"
  10. Good to see that the paroled cum-convict is under police surveillance during his tours although I am concerned about the impartiality of the senior police officer tugging his forelock. (Refer to OP image)
  11. At the very least I should expect Bird's Nest Essence......😋
  12. Could be here to learn Muay Thai but got beaten and humiliated by a Kung Fu student and bolted for the airport?
  13. ......the police, along with forensic investigators and volunteers of Ruamkatanyu Foundation, hurriedly reached the scene ...... Usually, they would have 'rushed' but for this incident there was less urgency.
  14. Somewhere, out there in the forest, is a bear walking on stumps......
  15. I hope the police track down that infected expat Brit mingled with the crowd in Korat. You know, the one that gave our Tony the Covid......😮‍💨
  16. Please reconsider. Your action could threaten the plan to pay Thai nationals 10,000 each due to lack of funds...🤣
  17. Dear Leader, the Russian experts really controlled the launch......
  18. Again the focus is in the wrong place. These devices are being illegally imported on a large scale. If the government really want to eliminate vaping they must eliminate the imports. But, this is big business with lots of people and all levels making money hence the odd pathetic PR raids on small retailers
  19. We prefer to describe the origin as "....our partner artisans in far Cathay"
  20. Not shown in the OP image is that the armoured cars have the initials UN in large black letters on each side. The reason for this is not mentioned in any of the English language newspapers published in Bangkok. Explanation: https://www.shephardmedia.com/news/landwarfareintl/bhutan-gains-first-win-with-un/
  21. My first thought was that he had snatched a purse from a ladyboy on Beach Road.
