Biden's News Conference: A Mix of Defiance and Missteps
pegman replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Anyone advocating for this guy to have another term are being inherently dishonest. The only conceivable reason would be some self interest or they want Trump to win. On the other hand maybe just plain dumb -
Well apparently someone does because the gutter UK press continually goes on making up nonsense about this Royal. Why they have decided to pick on this Royal who fought in combat for his country is bewildering. His adulteress father and stepmother would seem to be more appropriate for their loathing.

ABC Full Interview Biden in Potential Make-or-Break with Stephanopoulos

Reality has long passed this guy by. What's with these Yanks in public service being so extremely narcissistic/greedy. I thought no one could ever top RBG when she stuck around on the bench in her 80s, with multiple cancers, just so that Trump could replace her with a religious fundamentalist. Someone needs to pull the plug on him. -
You misspelled 14% support for Reform. As for the low vote count for Labour just keep in mind that come time for the next election in five years the 6% of the population that are Muslim will likely return home to Labour. My guess is that Farange topped out with his 14% as that is the upper reaches of the right-wing wingnut proportion of the British population. The ones that always go for the shiny pony.

Time for a reality check. Reform with 0.6% of seats. Despicable corporate media making out like he was posed to take power.

Labour Set to Win General Election Landslide, Exit Poll Indicates
pegman replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Common sense like his over the top championing of Liz Truss' disastrous budget that nearly took down the UK economy? How about all the fantastical benefits he touted that would come with Brexit? Eight years after the vote a lowly 31% of the UK population think it was a good decision. Nige was strutting around last night like a peacock stating that his party is now the real opposition. Truth is Reform captured four measly seats putting them in a tie for sixth amongst parties now in Westminster. The only relevance he has is with the right wing media who before and after the election acted like his party won north of 300 seats. If anyone is up for a good laugh check out what Jonathan Pie has to say about this clown and the disingenuous media on YouTube. -

Pattaya Labor Camp Detains Illegal Cambodian Workers

Can't have that. Same as in USA. Nothing but bickering and pointing fingers when all they would have to do to stop it is lay criminal charges against employers. Thing is many of them are political donors so can not have that. Both places are extremely corrupt -
Rod Stewart Booed in Germany Over Support for Ukraine
pegman replied to Social Media's topic in World News
More American ignorance. The German economy has been hammered since Biden ordered the destruction of the Nordstream pipeline. Conversely and not coincidentally American Big Oil has been making a killing sending oil and gas to Europe to make up for the cut of supplies from Russia. The environmental president, Biden, has been in office for the highest production of oil in the USA ever. You won't hear him say drill baby drill because he only does that behind closed doors with Big Oil CEOs. The social democrat lead governing coalition in Germany is getting hammered in the polls. SDP is currently running third and will be demolished next election just as they were in the recently held EU elections. I suggest you turn off CNN, MSNBC, FOX News then cancel your subscriptions to propaganda publications like the New York Times and Washington Post. Then go to YouTube and type in Jeffrey Sachs and\or John Meirsheimer and learn what's really going on in the world. Little wonder W Bush got away with the WMD in Iraq charade. -
As long as the neocons in the Biden administration are calling the shots peace in Ukraine his impossible.

US Senate Urges Thailand to Uphold Democracy Amid Party Dissolution Fears
pegman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well I live in a country, Canada, that curtailed the money overnight with signing of a single law so not sure how I'm being naïve. Unless you are saying that the whole political system in the USA is so corrupt it would be naïve to expect better. on that you might be correct -

Disagree, in the USA the major problem is $$$ in politics. Lobby groups such as AIPAC control much of the decision-making by American politicians. It takes about $2B to have a legitimate chance of becoming president. That buys a heck of a lot of influence. Extremely biased media also plays a significant role. The institution causing the problems with democracy in Thailand is {censored}..............
