Updates and events in the War in Ukraine 2025
Russia has recaptured 80% of the land in Kursk that had been held by the Ukrainian army. So somehow this is not winning?

Mark Carney wins race to succeed Justin Trudeau as Canada's PM
Carney vs a Tori leader who has never had a job outside politics and who the public sees as a Trump clone. In a country that has a serious hate on for Trump. The Carney Liberals have a 7% pt lead over the Pierre Tories in the latest poll. https://www.ekospolitics.com/index.php/2025/03/rising-nationalism-desire-for-economic-sovereignty-propels-liberals-to-five-year-high/

The unemployment rate in Canada is calculated differently than the yanks do. Also we have more of our population that participate in the workforce. In other words less people roaming the streets blitzed out of their minds and homeless. 6% unemployment is basically our full employment rate.

The National Post is owned by PostMedia which is owned by a USA Republican Party leaning hedge fund that is an enemy of most Canadians. Its sister publication is the National Enquiry. It's debateable about which has more accurate reporting. Peterson's opinions are as indicative of most Canadians as it is of his fellow faculty members at the University of Toronto. No one knows him in this country. He plays to a Yank audience by going on Rogan and such. The Tories in Canada are led by a pipsqueak called pee-wee Pierre. Someone who has never had a job outside of politics. People see him as a Trump clone. Once it became clear that Trudeau would not be running again Tories dropped 10 percentage points in the polls. Right now the smart money is on the re-election of the Liberal Party. Personally I'm a social democrat so I could not vote for the Tories or the Liberals will be happy to see the economist win over the Trump disciple

U.S. Targets Iran’s Oil Industry to Cripple Its Economy, Treasury Secretary Says
Tell that to the families of the people that were in the twin towers. The irony of which was that terrorists leadership were the Yanks allies in Afghanistan. Karma baby!!!

How many people actually know the real history of Ukraine and Zelensky?
No more than from the forever war neocon Yank media. If anyone is interested in what I think is honest academic commentary on what has been going on please go to YouTube and search professor Jeff Sachs of Columbia University and professor John Mearsheimer of University of Chicago.

Death of Gene Hackman and Wife now Investigated as 'Suspicious'
One report stated that the dead dog was in a kennel. If that is the case it likely died of dehydration

Trump insider: "Zelensky's 'Best Bet' is to Leave for France 'Immediately'"
Zelensky ran for office as a peace candidate. Once he won, having been sponsored by an Israeli oligarch, he changed his tone.

Trump insider: "Zelensky's 'Best Bet' is to Leave for France 'Immediately'"
I think their plan was to shock Zelensky into reality. This war is lost. Best bet is to stop it now. Should have been stopped Istanbul March 2022. The Yanks are surrendering. If Ukraine goes it alone it will be a Vietnam outcome. This is Paris Accords Jan. 1973 all over again.

Trump insider: "Zelensky's 'Best Bet' is to Leave for France 'Immediately'"
I personally despise Trump and Vance but with the situation as it is in Ukraine, real not propaganda as reported in western media, it was time to put the knee pads on. The only chance for slowing down Putin now is for the UK & France to send 100k troops each to the front line. 555 as if that would ever happen.

Trump insider: "Zelensky's 'Best Bet' is to Leave for France 'Immediately'"
Don't blame them they are just classic examples of "The Herd" as described by Nietzsche. The last time we witnessed a narrative take hold like this, propagated by Western intelligence agencies and their propaganda media, was the whole WMD in Iraq fiasco. There really is no excuse for it though this time. I follow a half dozen frontline mapping sites each day, such as Weeb Union on the Facebook, which show what is actually taking place geo-location video. While "The Herd" get told what they want to hear from the likes of Murdoch and former game show host A. Cooper.

Trump insider: "Zelensky's 'Best Bet' is to Leave for France 'Immediately'"
But, but, but whatever happened to Putin going down with multiple strokes, heart attacks, Parkinson's disease, coups, running out of tanks, men, artillery shells and you name it?????? Reality is if and when Zelensky leaves Kyiv it will much more likely be to Florida or Italy where he's reported {by Seymour Hersh} to have villas or Cyprus where his loot is banked.

BBC with a brutal takedown of Ukrainian hopes
Oh yes, Istanbul. It was all downhill from there. The third successor of Boris, Starmer, seems to want to get the UK directly involved. How about he send 100,000 or so British troops to the front to slow Putin down? Otherwise STFU!!!

Scholz calls for state of emergency
No one is going to give Ukraine a security guarantee. Nobody! It would be suicide considering how the Ukrainian majority enjoys abusing its minorities some of which have a very big brother nearby. Zero chance Putin begins negotiations unless NATO membership is off the table. The President of Ukraine, now considered a dictator because of his cancelling of elections, is grasping at straws. The west have tried for three years to come up with some leverage against Russia. Everything has failed and either Ukraine capitulates or all of the east side of the Dnieper River along with the rest of the coast on the Black Sea will be lost after a year or two more fighting. Think Vietnam after January 1973. Poland, Romania and Hungry can then split up what remains

Thailand Slips in Global Corruption Ranking for 2024

Farage’s Reform UK Surges as Tory Voters Defect in Droves
Muslims make up 6% of the UK. Although the Yanks are controlled by a 2.4% rump minority. Whatever the polls are suggesting the fact is Labour will be governing for just short of the next 4.5 years. An eternity in politics but you would never know it from reading England's yellow journalism tabloids.

EU Vows Strong Response to Trump’s Tariff Threats
True, for example farm fertilizer is 95% made up of potash. About 90 percent of the potash used in the United States is imported from Canada. Increase fertilizer input costs by nearly 25% you have some very angry American farmers on your hands. Trump never intended on following through with terrace. It was all bluff and bluster and everyone should have known that. Let's not forget that Trump is the one who surrendered Afghanistan to the goat herder Taliban. When he was a young man he was a draft dodger whose old man bribed someone at the recruitment centre so the coward would not have to go to war like his peers. The leaders of Mexico and Canada know who they're up against and just go along to humour him. It's all about trying to entertain the MAGA nuts which doesn't take much.

EU Vows Strong Response to Trump’s Tariff Threats
How about Airbus planes? The ones you Yanks build, Boeings, can't seem to stay in the air.

Trump Moves Forward with Tariffs on Canada and Mexico, Citing Trade Deficit and Border Issue
The average Canadian is wealthier, lives longer, is happier and has more paid time off work than the average Yank. We also do not have to worry about every third healthcare claim being denied since it's a government social benefit and we don't have to put in claims.
