It's always sad when a relationship comes to an end Dr. Naam, I feel for you. When things have reached this level of spitfullness it is clear that you have to be the man and move on. Plenty more fish in the sea.
Perhaps consider a pre-nuptual agreement protecting you from such violations in any future relationships?
All the best.

Thanks for the suggestions. In the end we went to Face Bar on Soi 38.
Opted for the Indian side and the food was superb. The restaurant is in a lovely old Thai style wooden house with a chilled out bar downstairs serving great (but pretty pricey) cocktails. Definately recommended. Cheers bkkmei!!

Hi all,
I'm thinkin of taking Mrs Ashacat out for a bit of grub tonight, but I want to go somewhere new. I'm looking for somewhere with a really nice ambiance and decent food (don't care whether it's Thai, Italian. Japanese etc etc) but not too expensive, maybe around 1,500-2,000 Baht excluding alcohol.
We usually go to Bella Napoli, Cabbages and Condoms, Crepes and Co. but I fancy something different tonight.
Has anyone got any suggestions for us? What is your favourite restauant for atmosphere and food in central Bangkok?

None whatsoever. It sounds ridiculous. Singapore is a low interest rate jurisdiction. 10% my arse.
Yes, fascinating website but please direct me to where you get 10% interest rates in Singapore. I checked the current DBS website for example and S$ accounts are struggling to get 1%. You can get Oz or Kiwi dollar accounts in Singapore paying around 5% but that's much lower than you would get in Australia and NZ for the same thing.
So, I repeat, where are the 10% tax free bank accounts in Singapore?
fixed deposit rates on this page, what is it you don't understand ?
Those rates are not per month they are per year.
Hahahahahahaa
Priceless. Please don't tell me he thought those rates are per month? What a financial wizard.
dear old gharkness, those are the rates you get PER YEAR.
Nice one mate.

I was pretty confused by that link as well. There is nothing on there to hint at 10% pa accounts, just a load of out of date rubbish.

Koh Chang far superior to Koh Tao.
Really?! I have lived on both Tao and Chang (teaching diving) and I'm not sure if I would agree with this. Why do you reckon Chang is "far superior"?
I'm not having a dig I am just curious. I enjoy diving both places.

Absinthe is class. I've had some awsome nights on it.

I can view it via True internet in Bangkok.

OP: Although I agree that the prices they quoted you are extremely expensive (especially when compared to comparable hotels throughout the country) you will find that it is not too out of line with other airport hotels. The same thing goes for the price of a beer (395 Baht), again very expensive, but as other people have stated; it is simply a case of supply and demand (albiet a pretty cheeky mark up!) If you were so disgusted with the price of a drink from the bar, my advice would be not to drink there.

I remember doing some game like this when I was teaching English in a Thai school years ago. The kids had to get in groups and make a list of as many words as they could that mean the same thing in English and Thai. After about 30 minutes of playing they had literally hundreds, this could be a long thread....
Anyway,
rock (music)
strawberry
chocolate
shampoo

There is another Italian further down the Soi on the right - I take it this is the one you are referring to?
I don't know!!! I ordered a pizza from a bar on Soi 33 and it was really nice, apparently they do not cook the pizzas themselves but instead they have them delivered from a place on soi 23. The bar has now changed ownership so I cannot go back and ask!!!

Lava has always been shit.
Heresy!!!!

Yes, Bella Napoli is a good place but also The Via Vai Restaurant on Sukhunvit soi 8 is excellent!
Cheers Viac, but I really want to find out what the one on 23 is called. Never tried Via Via tho, have to give it a shot...
-
I suspected that you might be talking about Bella Napoli when you said that the pasta comes with a dough topping!! Yeah Bella Napoli is definatly one of the best pizza gaffs in town, they deliver too by the way.
Still doesn't help me finding this place tho.... Any other ideas from anyone?
-
Yeah, I tried a pizza from there recently (take out) and it was lovely!!!! But I'm not sure where the shop is or what it is called.

Hi all,
Is anyone aware of a pizza restaurant located on Sukhumvit Soi 23? I think it starts with an "m".
Cheers.
My Updates Aren't Working Properly :(
in IT and Computers
Posted
Hello guys,
I have bought a new acer laptop with Windows Vista and I have encountered a few problems.
Firstly, I cannot get the built in camera to work. When I first used the computer it worked OK. But now when I open the "Acer Crystal Eye Camera" software (which worked a few days ago) I get a message saying "HR: 8007007E". Then when I click OK, I get another message saying that the camera is busy!
Secondly, when it automatically downloads the Windows updates I get "2B26" error. The error occurs when it trys to download the "SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 2".
Thirdly, my "@" key is where my speech marks are ( " ), how can I change that?
Any ideas on how to solve these annoying problems???
