Illegal field burning causing ill health, Road death statistics, sewage pouring into the sea, litter/plastic waste, insecticides in the food chain, to name but a few problems, so let's hit the cuddly toys,

oddly enough, the back stand seems to have scratched the concrete underneath.
AS he slipped into unconsciousness losing control over the bike, it would have slid backwards down the slightly inclined concrete until it hit a pebble or something and stopped. I prefer to comment on how sad the situation is for such a young guy to die like this. A few months ago an expat in Pattaya was found dead just outside a Pharmacy clutching his empty inhaler, locals thought he had collapsed because of drink. As someone with COPD and Asthma who uses Ventolin all day, and oxygen i can tell you that i panic if i am not near my inhaler, and carry 2 at all times. He didn't make it so near yet so far RIP.

It depends on the location, the quality of the build and what he paid. How long is a piece of string!!

#1, Why not go and ask your local immigration office?
#2, Retirement extension gives your freedom
#3, Marriage extension guarantees future headaches
The idea of a forum like this is to enable people to ask questions from members for advice etc. it would be pointless if all the answers were as helpful as yours. Please explain the retirement freedom and the marriage headaches so we can all understand.

I am with SCB and transfer my pension each month from the UK, when it arrives they notify me on my phone. It arrived yesterday and the message stated IFT, or Inward Funds Transfer. This shows up on my statements as X1 but looks pretty general, not sure if it is good enough for the immigration office though !!

Technically speaking, if the account is in your name only and the bank is informed that you are deceased, the bank should freeze the account until probate is sorted out.
However, some people knowingly give their pin number to their spouse, etc and instruct them to empty the account on their demise.
That's what i have organised, and i increased the withdrawal/transfer amount to so that i can be emptied in a couple of days, this way she doesn't have to mess around with probate and banks etc.

I read in a magazine that he was not on target with his sales so they fired him, it was thought that he aimed too high with his projections and failed. Then someone had a hunch something was wrong, it was just a shot in the dark, so they rifled through his drawers and found the real statements.

From swimming at Jomtien, I’ve noticed that the really low tides during daytime seem to be more common in the off season than in the high season, though I can’t think why that should be the case.
So it is unfair to photo a section of shoreline plastered with rubbish that no one will ever clear up and that could float round the corner where it would matter.

Congratulations Colin on your well deserved top poster award. We have a lot in common, divorced 96 came over here and had a ball, met a great woman, (still with her today), fell on hard times and came through it, cannot get around now and in the throes of getting a scooter like yours.
The only real difference between us is that i am from Yorkshire, so i have sympathy for you being born in Lancashire it must be awful.
All the best for the future. Michael

These women should of been handled only by other women (security) though it should of never got to that point anyway, somebody dropped the ball. Terrible optics and the continuing chaos in the political system is embarrassing. The MP looks like he's getting off on it, must treat his wife lovingly. lol
Equality.

You are the one not reading the story. Someone lost 500,000 Baht and two other people were arrested for reasons unconnected with the lost money. There is nothing whatsoever in the write up that appears to clearly state what both these men have done. It's always good to speak up for injustice when you see it.
"Two Nigerians arrested in Phuket over romance scam
Did i misread the headline?- 1

Has anyone heard of or used Bunters food supplies or London Pie company who are both based in BKK. They sell Western foods including pasties pies sausages gammon etc. aimed obviously at expats and say they can deliver via bus to anywhere in Thailand.

I have 1 as you already know, i go in big C, Global house no problems at all.
As i have posted already Lion atv sell them here and start at around 32.000 baht.
Hi Collin, hope you are keeping OK? I have come to the conclusion that i need one now, the irony is that i ran a couple of mobility companies in the UK and sold thousands of them!! My wife (Thai) has been saying i might have a problem taking them into shops over here, so i was just checking and i thank you for your feedback. I am at the moment in contact with the manufacturer, and waiting to see what import costs are, i will then decide whether to get one from China or from Thailand, the China route would save a lot of money. I will keep you posted. Take care Michael

I have just got back from doing my 90 day report, lovely people at the immigration office kind polite and very helpful. I have a problem with walking and a few months ago the road was closed outside the offices, i was in a bit of a state when i at last got there. The lady office noticed this and i explained the problem. When i got all my papers back she took me by the arm to the pickup and drove me back to mine, saying ''we have to help our friends''. Let's see what the bashers have to say about that.

@Brunolem I'm just going to jump in and say you're right. I've been here since 2000 also and the number of foreigners here are staggering. I could visit immigrations any time and would be surprised to see another one or two foreigners between then and probably up to about 2010. Same when I visited Tesco or Big-C (out here in the boonies of course). Ubon Ratchathani was still the boonies at least up until 2010. Now, I pass foreigners on my daily travels at least every 15 minutes or so. Anybody who has been here any length of time and says otherwise is just flat out lying (or they are blind/deaf). I now plan my trips to immigrations--early and way before my due dates--while avoiding days around weekends and holidays. Those who cannot see or haven't been here long have not figured this out yet--can tell by their posts--late this, crowded that, I didn't know, takes way too long to do, etc., etc., etc.
Don't try to defend yourself against the ill-informed. As one famous poster on ThaiVISA says, They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with (no) experience...
I agree i think Brunolem was spot on with his observations, i have been her since the late 90s and have used immigration offices all over the country and services in nearly all adjoining countries. There are far more expats here now and far more from continents other than Europe. I wonder what the people from the EU countries (including the UK) would think of the Thailand immigration rules if the same rules had been applied years ago in their countries?
