  1. On the positive side, it 's fun to see GOP congressmen stuck with the contradictions between the different empty promises made by Trump during his campaign! πŸ˜†
  2. Another blow at the Pope's infailability concept! πŸ˜†
  3. Me too. I hope that Lebanon can become a law-based State again with a functioning administration. Most Lebanese are nice people and deserve a 'normal' life again.
  4. In summary, you have nothing! wake me up when a Grand Jury indicts Joe Biden! πŸ˜†
  5. You opened a thread at the occasion of the publication of the Weiss report, suggesting that it may support your claim that Biden would be crooked. You haven't been able to cite a single line of this report to back up your claim, and I have shown that the report actually contradicts your suggestion. πŸ˜† At the same time you were playing the confusion card by trying to pass on the older report from the ridiculous GOP Committee which failed miserably to find anything incriminating on Joe Biden. You can entertain yourself with some 'Comer said' B.S. as much as you want, it will likely be without me.
  6. China failed years ago. You are making claims without backing them up with any source. All what I claimed is backed up by facts and sources.
  7. It's not necessary. Greenland is part of NATO and there is already a U.S. base in Greenland. So it's protected by art. 5. As to China, it already failed its attempt to expand in Arctic countries, as you already know. And its been worse because of its support of Russia. Following China's example, the U.S. and the EU have defined an Artic Strategy. Denmark voted an investment screening act in 2021, in accordance with the 2019 EU Directive, and Greenland announced a declination of it (Greenland screening Act) in February 2024. The objective of both Acts is to protect national security and in particular to keep control of Infrastructures. https://investmentpolicy.unctad.org/investment-laws/laws/435/denmark-investment-screening-act#:~:text=The purpose of this Act,through screening and potential intervention https://kromannreumert.com/en/news/investment-screening-is-a-hot-topic-greenland-announces-its-own-investment-screening-act#:~:text=Investment screening underway in Greenland&text=The purpose of the announced,Greenlandic society's basic critical infrastructure. I have posted additional information in a previous post above. The U.S., , Denmark, Greenland and the EU did not wait for Trump's show to identify security and supplly issues, in particular re. China and Russia, and design solutions. They have already happily collaborated on these matters, without needing Trump's idiotic threats.
  8. Oh the MAGA rich imagination! - ISIS had been already quasi-anihilated by Obama, Kurdish, and Shia forces, - a fake peace agreement between countries which were not in conflict at all and were already engaged in military cooperation. - Trump got played by Kim, - set nothing on track. The world economy was already in good shape before Trump: regular growth, low inflation etc.. Trump received a good economy from Obama! - etc...
  9. Who talked about "treaty"? (I'm not talking about NATO, Greenland is already part of it)
  10. A MAGA echo chamber accusing others of being sheeps!
  11. Don't be stupid. It was dropped because the DOJ policy is to not indict a sitting President. Not because the case was without merit. Also note that it's a Trump appointee (Cannon) who allowed the release.
  12. There is not a single line in the Weiss report suggesting that JOE Biden committed a crime. J.O.E.! The only mentions concerning JOE Biden are disculping him. As usual, you misrepresented facts in your OP.
  13. In your wet dreams only! There is nothing incriminating Joe Biden in the report, quite the opposite. And as you mentioned, he's been appointed by Trump! πŸ˜† Quote from the report P.22 E. During the Investigation, Alexander Smirnov Made False Statements to Law Enforcement Agents and Was Subsequently Charged In 2020, an individual named Alexander Smirnov-who served as an FBI confidential human source-told an FBI agent that Mr. Biden and his father received $5 million bribe payments from a Burisma executive. 128 These statements wererecorded in a Form 1023, an official FBI record. 129 During the investigation of Mr. Biden, in July 2023, the FBI requested that the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Delaware investigate Mr. Smirnov's allegations. 130 My team subsequently determined that his allegations were fabricated. P.S As I posted several times I disagree with this pardon
  14. The usual MAGA lame false equivalence tactics. Lawful means of challenging elections are not criminal, by definition. πŸ˜† β€œAs set forth in the original and superseding indictments, when it became clear that Mr. Trump had lost the election and that lawful means of challenging the election results had failed, he resorted to a series of criminal efforts to retain power,” the report states. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/01/14/politics/special-counsel-smith-report-trump-2020-election-subversion/index.html
  15. He's right about that part (food). Let's see how the agro lobby, which generally supports the GOP, in particular in red States, will react to attempts at imposing new regulations on them, i.e. banning the use of cheap insecticides and fertilisers. Same for the food industry lobby. Not to mention the fact that it can lead to increased food price as it's usually more costly to produce healthy food.
  16. They can make much more money from disease treatments than from injecting vaccines. Actually vaccines are often injected by other people than doctors (nurses, pharmacists, etc....).
  17. The quote I posted is from a GOP Committee member. I doubt she would have under-estimated the federal expenses involved.
  18. The fact that he has been elected doesn't change what he has done in any way. Neither does your lame weaponized DOJ B.S. conspiracy theory! πŸ˜† There is no court of public opinion.
  19. Oooops! Sorry, I initially misunderstood your question. However the thread is about the federal budget. I looked further and found that β€œThe federal government spent over $66 billion on illegal immigrants in 2023." (From the same committee) https://budget.house.gov/press-release/the-cost-of-the-border-crisis-1507-billion-and-counting So let's assume illegal immigration is reduced by 2/3, it's an spending cut of about $44 billion. However, there must also be a cost of preventing illegal immigration but I have no information about it.
  20. What I posted is a very broad indicator, but it shows that the U.S. is proportionally not a large contributor. There is no reason why it would be a larger contributor for a specific part of its contribution. Unless of course you could articulate a more convincing rationale than just "probably".
  21. Why would the left cover up for Trump? That's incoherent!
  22. He asked about: how much the U.S. contributes in aid to illegal immigrants, the U.N. and its many agencies, and international disaster relief, If you are not happy with it, I am sorry. Have a try by yourself.
  23. Country-centered explanations are useless. The fact is that even the poor Westerners are better-off than the middle class in developing countries, and even sometimes the highly educated class. An Indian Engineer with 10 years of experience usually barely reaches the salary level of a shop attendant in the U.S. So you have this mass of people ready to work more for less bucks, and often with low or no social protection. Not to mention the level of economies of scale a country like China can achieve. It puts a huge competitive pressure on Western countries. Until they reach a similar level of development and salaries, the pressure is not going to weaken.
  24. Here you are. It took around 3 mn using Google. https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/foreign-aid-given-as-a-share-of-national-income-net
