  1. Why do I have a feeling OP is just trolling here.

    I don't think so.

He definitely has the same arrogant, ingrained sense of privilege many "Diplobrats" (or similar) I was at University with seemed to have; can walk into a top uni never having to worry about bills, having to work, sh*tty digs etc, can afford to faff about as the safety net will always scoop them into the same job and Mummy and daddy had....clearly thinks life owes him a privileged life consisting of a highly skilled job in an exotic location with a top drawer bit of crumpet, While wanting to put on a show of independence, he will at least invoke the 'do you know who my parents are?' or "My parents are....." lines a few times a year when things get a bit sticky....

He's already thinking he's "God's gift to women" without realising all these 'hot women" he gets with such ease in the West are only interested in his background and money; Rest assured that if Mummy and Daddy were factory workers in an Ankara suburb he'd probably still be a virgin....

I wish the kid well but seeing as life has handed him all these advantages, why not use them?

  2. SIngha's Syder Bay is reasonable at a pinch but not a cider. It will, and has, served me OK for slaking a thirst over ice with a cigar, in the evening of a hot day. At 32B a pop one can't argue.

    You could try;

    http://www.ciderthailand.com

English is spoken. Not the cheapest option and delivery seems a logistic toughie.

They are based in Pattaya and you are free to drop in in the taxi on the way home and buy a case or two .

Better still, and for 'ale' fans is http://www.wishbeer.com who provide a range of Brother's and Weston's Ciders (UK) and a few others too at a decent price as well as a shedload of real ales (Ruddles, Mcewans, OSH, Fuller's, Young's, Well's, Courage etc). Wile not entirely cheap, they are decent value and they deliver fast too if you're in BKK/Central with excellent customer service. A New company who deserve a lot of custom from the expat community,

For one who harks back to the bad old days when word of there being a few can of Strongbow (or whatever) behind the bar of a pub in Pattaya or BKK could spark a frenzy, so more power to both of 'em I say.

  3. Bunch of bigoted old muppets posting their usual drivel on here. These old farts are just jealous that they have to pay for it and hate to see young guys coming here and getting it for free...

Ignore them all, it's easy to find a hot young girl who doesn't want your money, even an Isan girl (and actually they have the best personalities).

    There's always one....

Another troll reply from a delusional 'young gun' with laughably no advice to offer from his own delusional fantasy life from which he can give no advice; even on pulling imaginary 'hot young women for 'free' as he's never done it himself.

Sounds just the type who will (or already has) wake up one day, find the 'hot young, educated, HiSo' girl he thinks been giving it to him for 'free' has taken the his little all (namely his boiler room stealings or his 30K a month TEFL salary) while his head was up his backside, then given it to what he thought was her 'brother' who she is now shacked up with...

    Hilarious....

  4. plus have a bunch of hot F/A's serving under you

Thought you weren't in it for the women....It's also a sector with a large % of homosexual employees I understand....

it would be funny to work under the people who were taking orders from my parents not that long ago.

Why? You can't be that arrogant a brat you couldn't take orders from your parent's former minions? Who knows? One of them could be the one with the contacts at Pilot School or airline you desire.....

  5. a weather thats hot all year.

It's not been that all that hot this last week or so.....Been great for doing all the running around i've put off in the hotter weather.

Can't really add too much more than the above. Don't your parents have any contacts in the Turkish Embassy/Foreign Office and get you nipped in there?

It seems like you have experience of life here which some Multi Nats may like their regional staff to have.

  6. By tee rak you probably mean thai girlfriend thats sucking money out of you I dont need to splash out money to attract girls, as I can attract quality girls in my homeland just as easily. I'm a 25 year old, 6'0 tall, fit male

I dont need to make up for the lack of looks with $$$

Sadly handsome, here, money talks. If you aren't going to be splashing the cash you won't be sniffing the gash....You could be a Brad Pitt lookalike sat next to a George Formby lookalike, but if George is clearly spending a lot more than you are he'll be the one getting all the attention....

My cousin finished the exact same degree as this, went on to THK pilot school in TUrkey, completed his studies and was hired by Turkish Airlines. He's now flying 737's.

Your cousin but not you? You seem to think you can just turn up in SEAsia with this degree and walk into a highly competitive job market?

I just want to lead a decent life here in S.E.A without bugggering my parents.

So who would shell out the 20K for the elite card?

I'd say your best bet is once graduated (or near) get around the Multi Nats in your home land with interests/offices in Thailand or in the region, get hired there, keep up to date with SEAsian affairs or take a 'area studies' Post Grad qualification related to Thailand or SEAsia, then wallop in with a transfer request and see how you go.

  7. You sound like you have a great plan, What University in Turkey did you buy your degree from?

    LOL. Great plan indeed.

Finish best Uni in Turkey, go to Thailand to meet the 'professional' bird I've been chatting to on Facebook/Thai Friendly for the last 8 months, join a highly trained profession with no experience hoping they have an apprentice pilot's scheme, scoff at the visa laws, coast through my exams with a bottle in my hand, live happily ever after....cos life is that simple....

  8. Welcome Thailand please come soon

another digital pikey/movie actor/Ed visa abuser/Walt/wannabee/quality tourist in the in the making

    Indeed.

I can see him posting here again in 6 months after spending all his time on a Southern beach, peeing mum and dad's money up the wall asking how to become a TEFLer with a WP and real visa so he can stay with 'Tee Rak' who is syphoning off his cash to the farm....

Maybe he cold take Rangsitreppin with his as a guide and guru....

  9. Logic would dictate moving to China surely? Seems like you know more about China than you do about Thailand.

The recent hike in booze prices is down to taxation. It seems that each shonky regime we've had over the last decade has looked to screw as much out of their time in office out of the population to feather their nests with once they've been thrown out of office. Booze is the easiest target.

Do careful about posting about liking a drink here though, as there are many, many members who are no longer allowed to go to the bars any more or even to have a decent drink apart from the odd lukewarm Leo, by their wives.

They tend to get very angry at those of us who didn't leave their testcles at home and can still go out drinking as and when wanted.....

  10. Bogan Koori saving expats from tickets.

A great community service you're providing.

No I was reporting on foreigners dressing up like policemen at Phuket checkpoints. It has nothing to do with helping people avoid tickets.

Well done, These buffoons need reporting on regularly. Better still whenever you see one, sneer, point and laugh...

  11. Why noise up residential areas every w'end?

What's wrong with Sukhumvit? It goes from Sattahip to Bangkok and beyond...

.............surley a good run for any real 'Harley' owner?

No one is impressed .. not my dogs and certainly not my kids.

    Happy children's day

Because having had lives as accountants, bank clerks, Chartered Surveyors etc, now they finally reach middle age in their otherwise drab lives, have rented a woman and a motorbike which satisfies their menopausal troubles, they now actually think they are real Hell's Angels.....

They're very. very funny to watch as they play 'bikers' though....

I have a pal who is a regular visitor to Pattaya who was a real former Angel in the UK. The first time he saw these jokers riding by, the look on his face as he stood by the road thinking "what the **** was that?" was a picture....

Why do you think they call themselves "Jesters"?

  12. A picture is worth a thousand words.

I will provide those 1,000 words as well. Let me do this with this attached PDF. I just request people who remain on the fence as to what is exactly going on with all this terrorism just scroll through this below list of Islamic Terror attacks in the past 30 days alone. People who are undecided need to be informed and be aware of the numbing numbers of dead and maimed daily. Please remember that the acts of violence do not wholly represent the threat of this jihad. Jihad is currently being waged in a number of guises including lawfare jihad, immigration jihad, regulatory jihad such as jockeying for votes for blasphemy laws, and other means of passively supporting jihadists. These other types of jihad are not conspiracy suspicions these are stated and avowed goals of the Muslim Brotherhood and subsidiary organizations. For example: See Muslim Brotherhood documents for the Holy Land Foundation Trial in US Vs. Holy Land Foundation lawsuit. Here you will find documents that explicitly layout the blueprint we see being enacted every day- this is not conjecture.

    It is staggering (source cited):

Arjuna Dawn. Is that PDF in the Public Domain or subject to copyright? I know a few people who could do with a good read of that....

  13. It's beautiful. The drizzle has given the day a distinctly Late English Summer/Early Autumn feel....spent a few hours in the garden drinking ciders this afternoon which went down a treat in this weather. Got a fair few odd looks for being the only person in shorts and T shirt out and about this evening. Makes a change from sitting and sweating out more liquid than I'm pouring down me gullet....
