keane will score against arsenal. nailed on.
Possible for sure, but more interesting will be the look on Rafa's face when he does the same against you.

Advertising pays most of a typical newspaper's budget, so there's a built-in conflict of interest in terms of reporting objectivity. Managing editors will claim otherwise of course.
I've worked for newspapers in several different countries, and the experience from one to the other differed relatively little. All practiced self-censorship to some degree. Certainly newspapers in some countries I've written for (Malaysia, Singaore and Mexico come to mind) enjoyed less press freedom that, say, the Post or The Nation.
At the end of the day, is there any vocation or profession that doesn't involve some degree of moral compromise? I doubt it
Thailand is far more obsessive about certain issues.I would say in todays climate the most repressed nation on earth.
Most repressed nation, haven't been to the middle east lately have you? ahhahaa learn to seperate sensationalism from fact and some people might take your posts more seriously mate.

Taking a glance of the photo on the nation website of the accused, me thinks this was an exclusive club only open to senior citizens - gives new meaning to the Thailand Long-Stay Programme no?

For the record...I nominate Quicksilva and Midas for the next edition of Hard Talk.

if someone wanted to have a private boat in bangkok, would it be permitted?
your own dinner cruise.... a night out on the boat up the river having a few drinks with friends while watching the twinkling of the city... take your visitors for a leisurely ride up to ayuthaya...
may not appeal to all, but the question is simply does anyone know if it would be legal or not?
one would think it would be legal - assuming you weren't competing with the boats that already do this. However, me thinks those that can afford nice boats, keep them in Phuket and Pattaya, where the waters are blue-ish and where you don't run the risk of having it dissolve in front of your eyes.

Don't worry mate, there will be a time when you are not. Curious, when you go to the bar, do Thai girls tip you?
Pot Kettle Black
DC, true there was a time when I was 20, good looking, witty and charming, but sadly, overtime I have gotten older.

He got his fine, end of story. Hughes and Robinho can draw a line under that and so can I.
True, but suffice to say Hughes didn't have the authority to suspend Abu Dhabi's big signing.
Well he certainly had the authority to fine him
haha, yes, but I bet you the total amount of his fine and your saudi salary that not one satang is ever deducted from his salary,
"Robbie, don't worry about the fine thing, it's only for show to allow me to stamp my authority around here", Hughes.

As we’re talking about Middle Eastern airlines, Gulf Air are currently upgrading their aircraft and temporarily using Jet Airways aircraft and crew to service the Bahrain Bkk route.
It’s my first experience with Jet Airways and I found the aircraft to be clean modern (individual TV with video on demand) adequate legroom and friendly staff. The flights left on time and arrived early.
Why not just rename Gulp Air - Jet Airways because all those things you mentioned (on time, roomy and fliendly staff) were not a hallmark of the former.

I find it sickening (too strong a word) that day after day, week after week, month after month and decade after decade this topic keeps bringing up the same old debates.
One might wonder why you enter yourself into them then.
what can i say, its 4pm on a friday and I am lonely.

This is hardly a 'sickening topic'. Who really cares if a guy send money to his thai sweetheart, thats his problem & her good luck if it happens. From what I see no one is forcing anyone to do anything. Personally I would chose not to do it, but others would, up to them, its their money.
me too,i voted no it does n't sicken me,each to their own,i personally would n't do it,but like in any relationship i help out where necessary,if i think it its a legit problem.

That's what I mean, I don't see a spot for him.
right, with you. richards hasn't progressed anything like he should have done.
Your absolutely right. He's been a let down this year for sure. I should think Hughes will only put up with it for a while longer, as he isn't afraid to drop someone, no matter how big their ego.
Really? I don't recall him dropping thumbsucker?
Drop him for what exactly? Scoring too many goals!!
I forgot about that - Robin-the-ho is bigger than the team
Nope, i didn't say that. I asked you why he should be dropped
Don't want to start a big long debate about it, but fining him for his trip home exploits sends the wrong message - but as City is in such trying times at the moment - can't afford to make him sit one or two games.
-
sad, very sad
what a shi*ty way to go. bad taste, sorry.

Now here we have a game which is exactly the type of game in which Keane would have played. It's the last I'll mention of it, but I think it was a huge mistake to not get any other forward while letting him go. Perhaps the owners could have come for their little chat a bit before two days before the transfer deadline.
Gerrard's out for three weeks, which is horrible timing considering how well he's been playing. At least he may only miss two matches. I'd say Real Madrid is the target match for his comeback.
I thought I read that Alonso is banned for next match along with Lucas. True? So, who do we play, then? Let me hazard a guess:
Reina
Arbeloa Carra Skrtel Aurelio
Yossi Masch Plessis Riera
Kuyt Torres
If Alonso really is out for yellow card accumulation, that's about the best side we could field. Not exactly thrilling me. Portsmouth is not an easy trip.
The one thing in your favour is Pompey looks like the worst team in the league at the moment...I could get past their defenders.

eww. I mean ordering fresh things weekly.
I tell them to select the newest and freshest produce, and they do that very well.
But it takes more steps than ordering restaurant meals here
must make the list, fax it, and have maid or messenger pick up.
It would be nice if everyone could order more easily, in 1 step as ordering normally does.
Do you understand, people like to pick out their own fruit, veggies, meat, fish?

Have you been to Witch's Tavern on Thong Lor?
Well that place is awsome. Food is great, drinks are great and the setting is so nice. It's got to be one of my favorites.
Did you know that there is a 10 post minimum before spamming is allowed?
Penalty: for the next 3 months, you need to keep open bottles of jack, jim and other J sounding names of booze for all TV members at WT.

Someone SHOULD make a business of this, and have an online grocery delivery service. This was already mentioned in another thread, but a service like freshdirect.com we need here!!
It's much easier to order directly, even easier than listing for the maid. It's even better than restaurant delivery, because everything is fresh, and you can order fresh produce and whole fresh things.
Can someone do it, please!!! That is the future of shopping!
AD: some issues to overcome with this. while it may be ok to have someone deliver you a six pack of coke and other items like canned goods, I don't honestly believe many people will want to have someone else picking out which carrots or steaks they want.
What's the real issue anyway, getting the goods back home? Most places offer a delivery service.

I'm confused? Which is it then? You take gambles on your best players or you don't? Cos in the Wigan game he was taken off to not take any gambles. Rafa wants to take the credit for doing that against pretty much everyones wishes, because we all can now see the effects that fatigue supposedly has had on him.
OK then, but if Rafa wants to take the credit for that, he also has to take responsibility for playing him against Everton and him picking up the injury. All i've heard from Rafa though is "i told you so" and "this was inevitable" type nonsense. If he knew he should have had the balls to leave him out and save him for the Premiership games. As it is, he'll now be out for a few weeks at what is a critical point in the season. Come the Man U game in March and the title could be out of reach. That decision therefore, to play Gerrard when Rafa would have us believe he knew an injury was just round the corner, could have cost you both the FA Cup and the Premiership. Doesn't sound like good management to me. Still, you know best. Long may he continue i say!
he can't win. he leaves gerrard out against everton and we lose, he gets criticised for disrespecting the fa cup and for not playing his strongest team. he picks gerrard when he's probably in need of a rest, he gets injured, we lose anyway. fact is our squad is just not really big enough or good enough to compete on multiple fronts.
you're easily confused it seems.
I hardly think he tore his hammie because he was tired. Wayne R wasn't tired and did his, same goes with Torres on previous occaisions.
Anyways, look at it this way, should he need to perform community service because of his night-time activities, he will be restricted to light duty I would guess - unless of course the judge is an Everton fan.

I was referring to the rolling stock question. If they have trains for the airport link there's a good chance they have some for the Thonburi link too.
Using that logic, why don't they just use the trains from the MRT?
The airport link is powered overhead while the bts is powered rails.

I have lived here for 6 years and I have seen my dad become one of these people, personally I know since his divorce he hasn't wanted a real relationship and he thinks that this pay as you go deal is actually much better than a natural relationship... Personally I would never pay anyone to be with me, but im 20 fit and healthy (not to mention tall and handsome:P).... and he is 53 fat and always working...

Why A Non Thai Can Never Integrate In Thailand

That's alot to chew on, but let me take a stab at paragraph two and the horrible death syndrom. To clarify, are you saying we have a better chance of being shot here than in the USA? And how about the good old health insurance situation in the States as well?
Regarding paragraph 3. Your first line is not a prediction but a recommendation. Comparing it once again to the USA, your last sentence rings very true - the land of the free and home of the brave.
Thailand, like all countries, has its issues. Hopefully, more people with your pessimistic outlook on life do run for the nearest exit because the one's that stay and ride out any bumps in the road, will be better off. The world is full of critics and complainers who do nothing but run and hide at the first sign of a river too wide.
For the record, I am not drunk yet, but see me in 3 hours and that may change and I may agree with you.![:D](//forum.thaivisa.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png)
