I should of out this in the Pattaya section but I didn't. So don't harp on about it what's done is done !! Anyway I was in a bookshop cafe today a few expat farangs were telling me that they lived alone ,let me say it again ,lived alone in a room ,by themselves I asked them if they were lonely all denied it of course, except one who went on to tell me he would love to have a REAL partner but living in Pattaya is not the place to look for REAL Relationship. So...the moral of the story is...these men retire from other countries to come to Thailand for a MORE exciting life Several months later they are actually LONELY They go back to their rooms after a day out or night out ...and ...as one said to me ...he has no one I wanted to HUG him ..I started to have tears in my eyes as were the only ones left in the book shop cafe He invited me back to his room in the FLY BIRD Condo I declined but decided to go after he was crying ,he said he wanted to show me pics of his now grown up children who are hard to contact . Don't answer there WhatsApp His wife died of cancer in the UK , 71yo now lives alone in the Flybird Condo I went back a small room type like a motel room only longer No air conditioning I said what do you do after you come back here to the Flybird after a day of drinking ,he said Watch TV then sleep I told him to leave Thailand and go to the PHILIPPINES to find a partner,I said I will arrange his flight He didn't look to keen ,I said you are LONELY in Pattaya right ,you won't find a partner here ! He then asked if he could bring a Filipino partner to Pattaya to live ,I said yes you must for your health He looked happy He wanted someone to be waiting for him at home each night when he came back to cook for him ,to care for him He wanted LOVE and someone to CARE for him I have and will help him to go to the Philippines You can't find love in Pattaya

Yes I love talking about dederants but I never use that anti sweat one under the armpits ,I heard it can cause Cancer I carry the body spray around with me as I like to go to the gym several times a day

I have studied & analysed that the expats living particularly in Pattaya Jomtien don't like each other I'm not talking about the two week tourists in Soi Bukhao who are mostly very friendly bunch I'm talking about the old expat living in Pattaya particularly Jomtien I was in this Friendship supermarket today when I overheard a big old European guy in his accent I think German,say "oh the smell is overpowering," I heard this from another aisle and then he said it again "oh the smell " I went to investigate to see a big fat European guy with I presume his Thai wife metres away from a elderly disheveled old farang wearing what looked like old clothes with a t shirt and long shorts which were ripped You all must be nice to each other in Pattaya,I'm not talking about the 2 week tourist I'm talking about the old expats who seem to either hate the 2 week tourist or are jealous of each other I saw a two young farangs trying to cross the road in Pattaya using a crossing ,a Hilux comes past doesn't stop blast his horn , I knew 100% it would be a farang behind the wheel and I was right I'm not sure if it's like this in other parts of Thailand but you must love each other if your living here in Jomtien,have a community spirit

Yes currently it's 1200 baht no more to pay , including tolls Pattaya to BKK

Yes many doctors nowadays are not bulk billing free on Medicare I'm lucky I live in the City so there is still many around that bill Medicare I do find however the paid Doctors give you more time in the room

Blood tests are free ,not sure what doctor you go to I use a bulk billing GP and anyway even if you didn't use a bulk billing doctor the blood test is free

Yes I'm a very poor old man ,lucky I have members on here who drove me from Jomtien to Pattaya recently, complete with my Zimmer frame on the back of their motorbike and me hanging onto it ...another member here took me to the Buffet where we filled up the containers to take back to our rooms

You do need to get out more ! I have invited you to walk Jomtien to Pattaya with me on my Zimmer frame We could do it this weekend sweetheart if your interested

One of my interests is why people travel from Pattaya to Bangkok to save a pittance Again this morning in my Hotel I watched a retired couple from the USA complete with pushing their luggage bags order a Grab to take them to the North Pattaya bus station to go to Bangkok I actually heard him say to the reception would he have to order another Grab when he got to Bangkok to go to the hotel there or could they get the SkyTrain I'm thinking why? Why don't you just pay 1200 baht for a taxi car door to door ? How much are you saving ,so let's look at it. Grab probably 70-90 baht to bus station Bus to Bangkok 200 baht each ? Then when they get to Bangkok another Grab -150-200 baht ? So they saved 600 baht Please tell me if that's worth it and why do you travel by bus

Yes I thought so Although I guess the outer areas of Bangkok may have those prices

You Sir are the true meaning of Mr Independent. You look after yourself, and can survive only making your OWN decisions. These other guys need to ask a Thai/Filipino GF theirs. Strangely Filipino girls are more sought after by foreigners because they are true "mother type " figures So look at the psychology behind guys who go after Filipino partners in particular

You have been mothered all your life it seems and that's not to be negatively But you can't do things yourself you need a "person" to be there for you. And you admitted it It probably stems from your childhood where your Mum was there all the time yo wash your clothes etc

Ahhh that's the word I'm looking for ..rent a friend...Rent emotional support.....it makes them feel like someone cares . Look ...how many of you and Bangkok would be the hardest place being a City...but how many of you expats only have yourself and can live independently by yourself and do everything by yourself? I would hazard a guess 1%

Probably you have hit living independently But....where do you get your emotional support from? Eg who care for you ? Unless you talk to family overseas etc and rely on them
