Petition submitted against Thaksin seeking Royal pardon
neeray replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
To demonstrate to the common folk that the law is applied equally to all, Thaksin needs to serve his 8 years. Ok, let him out in 2 or 3 years if good behaviour. That includes NOT meddling in politics. -
Child drowning tragedy: 11 year old boy loses life in Khon Kaen Pond

It could be done as an extra-curricular activity. Same way I and many others learned to swim. -
Nigerian and 13 Thais arrested for operating romance scam
neeray replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
There must be a sh*t load of palatial estates in Nigeria. The vast amount of scammers that I hear and read about are Nigerian. Surely it can't all be done by just one kingpin. If so, he/she must be a trillionaire by now. -
At least he won't get the nick name "tiny" assigned to him.

This young relationship is lacking "spark". Where's the passion? You said nothing about "helping her out", but I think maybe you are. That makes it a "business relationship", thus, no passion.

Justice Ministry Accused Of Granting Undue Privileges To Thaksin
neeray replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There's nothing new about the game that was played, but like many, I am surprised at how quickly the game played out. No doubt "others" in legal jeopardy in "other countries (or country)" are following this charade closely, just in case they too get tossed in jail. -
Sickly Thaksin Involved Hands-On In Allocation Of Cabinet Portfolios

You gotta' love it when the plan works! (I'm sure Thaksin feels that way right now) -
Thaksin Slightly Better But Still Needs Oxygen, Room Cooled By Fans
neeray replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It was all pre-planned. Either that or he was just suffering a little jet lag (or a "fort" stuck in cross wise. -
Thaksin to get extra security and “adequate conveniences” while in prison
neeray replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I can't see any sarcasm. From what I have read previously, they usually know where he is. And maybe he would like to come home. -
Poll respondents disagree with Pheu Thai’s “government of reconciliation”
neeray replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This reminds me of working a trade show, first few days dismal, says somebody, "maybe tomorrow". For Thais it must be like, "maybe the next election". (That never panned out at the trade shows!) -

I thought the police had a handle on this problem. I guess NOT. -
Chinese Rolls-Royce Owner Demands Compensation from Pickup Truck Driver
neeray replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Personally, I find it grossly unfair, in any country, where privileged people drive on the streets in an overly expensive car, often hundreds of times more pricey than what 99.9% of the common folk drive. Thus, if a collision should happen, the commoner is placed in a very difficult position. Such is the case here. Of course the pickup truck driver is at fault but had she been driving a "normal" car, his insurance, if he was insured, would have been adequate. (As an aside, I wonder if she has the proper work permit)- 131 replies

Charter Court refuses to consider rejection of Pita’s renomination as PM
neeray replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It's time for a million of his voters to peacefully protest the rigging of the election outcome.
