The election is over, a new round of "war" begins

"I feel that he has improved himself" ............ He most certainly has. But improving his bank balance in offshore accounts didn't improve life for the average Thai. -
Pita Limjaroenrat: Meet Thailand’s (probable) next leader
neeray replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
His grasp of English can't possibly hurt. English is the most spoken language in the world. English is the official language of the United Nations, the European Union, WTO and the International Monetary Fund. English is the official language of 67 countries. I see no reason why his grasp of English would lead PITA to make Thailand a client state of America. Speaking fluent English will only help to advance the interests of Thailand on the world stage. His English ability is not "necessary for a Thai prime minister", but it is highly advantageous. -
Does Voltaren/diclofenac require prescription in Thailand?
neeray replied to cdemundo's topic in Health and Medicine
I once bought Voltaren but threw it out after a couple uses. I don't care for the side effects to my digestive system. Now I use Dr.Jo's LivRelief. Much more effective and no side effects that I am aware of. I use it for arthritis. But I have even a better one for arthritis. Tart Cherry extract in either tablet form or liquid. I prefer tablets. I can't give a medical explanation but Tart Cherry tells the body to produce whatever is required to fight inflammation. Doctors couldn't cure searing pain that I have had for 25 years that runs down the outside of my thigh from from my buttocks, and hip joint to. So I cured it myself! I use both but figure the tart cherry is the trick for the long term cure. My pain is down to a couple percent now, will be all gone soon. I will stay on Tart Cherry in perpetuity. If anybody wants to PM me, it's okay. And I believe you'll find both on Amazon. I get LivRelief at my local drugstore, Tart Cherry at a natural products store (in Canada). -

Thai baht soars as voters back pro-democracy parties
neeray replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
" But, with Parliamentary rules written by the military junta, no coalition is certain just yet in Thailand." While anything is possible in Thai politics, I highly doubt that any skullduggery will take place this time. The people have spoken; they just wouldn't stand for it.- 65 replies

Lone wolf status for 12 years now (by choice). Casual friends work just fine for me. But to each their own.

Suspected murderer of Thai-British teen attacked during re-enactment

Maybe that was part of the purpose of the re-enactment, an opportunity to learn more details about the missing girl. -
Bangkok expressway operator and contractor threatened with legal action
neeray replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I see in the video that the car that diligently swerved to miss the huge falling object stopped shortly after. Perhaps they wanted to inspect their car for damage. Personally, I'd be inclined to get the heck away from under the elevated highway. -
Wow, did you miss your morning coffee? I was referring to this statement, "Big Brother can follow all of your transactions and if you are naughty they will restrict you to 1km radius around your house for your spendings ???? ???? ????". But perhaps you didn't read that far. "Defamatory" ? "Pink glasses"? Have a great day.

During summers in Canada, my dog swims at the beach just about daily. A huge number of the park goers are Muslim, others (religion unknown) from the Middle East, South Asia etc. . The odd one shoots me a dirty look. But many ask if they, or their children, can pet my dog. "Yes, of course". Some even have their own dog. Seen here sporting one of my favourite caps.
