Thanks Richard, I think the same. It's a bit of a nuisance as I have to book two different hotels and risk the (dodgy) test result from day 1.

With immigration normally counting the arrival day as part of our stay, does anyone have any ideas what the 5 days are for the second SHA+? If I arrive on the 10th Feb, do I book my second SHA+ for the 14th, 15th or 16th of Feb?

Thailand testing regime is pathetic. You have it there. I don't believe any of the numbers from this government where you have to pay for tests and treatment. If you are unwell ( like me, and many others, March 2019) you stay in and suffer until you are better. My theory is that Covid in various guises has been around for years and Thais have already built up a certain amount of herd immunity
