  1. I got it a few weeks ago for the first time. Never wear masks anywhere. It was no more than a mild sore throat, dry cough and tiredness for a few days. I know other's who got hit harder and many friends who wear masks constantly and have been infected up to 5 times. All the waves we have seen have not been controlled by mask wearing, as mask wearing has hardly changed here during the pandemic (until very recently). Most Thais seemingly have not kicked this habit. It's sad they can't wear motorbike helmets the same way. This would save many more lived per day than any mask would.
  2. You can get dengue haemorrhagic fever from a second infection with a different serotype. Not good. yes
  3. 3.2 is mazda/ford engine size. You mean the 2.8 or 2.4.
  4. Where do you drive to get this economy? It sounds like mostly highway driving. Our swift used to get about 18km/l maninly around nonthaburi. Our city turbo get slightly less, but is better on the highway than the swift.
  5. The boomers re their grand parents now, not parents. I'm 54 and my parents are of boomer age.
  6. If the roar sounds something like a motorbike following you, its likely to be a wheel bearing (happened with my civic years ago). How many kms on the car? Over 100k? The vibration could be from th wheel bearing or possibly the wheels need balancing.
  7. Your identity. Are you on overstay? lol
  8. So you were the dirty farang with no mask. You really should wear a mask in a hospital....there's sick people there you know LOL
  9. Here's one for the OP.... https://www.one2car.com/for-sale/jaguar-xj220-กรุงเทพและปริมณฑล-เลียบด่วนรามอินทรา-เกษตรนวมินทร์/10997635
  10. 3-4 of my m3 students are close to 6 ft. Many are much shorter. Genetics will set the maximum height, but doet will dictate whether they can get to that max height. None of my students appear underfed or malnourished. How many drink milk, I don't know. My Thai son drinks loads of it, but his height, 179cm, was set by his mother, Im 189cm.
  11. Any honda jazz will be quite old for that kind of price. Mazda 2 may be better value for money. secondhand. https://www.one2car.com/en/for-sale/mazda-2-sports-maxx-sports-bangkok-metropolitan-srinagarindra-thepharak/10896863 https://www.one2car.com/en/for-sale/honda-jazz-v-i-vtec-bangkok-metropolitan-lak-si-saphan-mai-chaeng-wattana/11996148?auc=true
  12. My colleague and I cvaught covid in the last few weeks, after 3 years of no infection. Both vaccinated ages ago. Everyone will be exposed to this virus, eventually.
  13. What will happen when I die? Lots of things, they just won't involve me:)
  14. Or back to the US with their wonderful free health care for everyone.....oh, wait a minute....
  15. You don't know how many people ar involved but go on to say corruption is rampant? What is your association with Thai schools? No point in tarring all schools with the same brush.
  16. We get the same food as the students. And it much better than what is shown here. Nothing to write home about though.
  17. Try here... http://www.imukiauto.com/ Im sure they can make something. They will replace the fabric and use a pvc or a leather of various grades. I've never used them but have heard good things. Depends on what you want to spend. But a masic seat cover to slip on you can get in a market or shopping center.
  18. We used to have a similar problem, mainly hungover farang teaches to turning up to work Monday morning. Interestingly, never had this problem with the non-native speakers. Our kids are almost always in class.
  19. These clubs often have shops to sell all sorts of bows arrows and other equipment. Try "archery Thai" in Bangkok. My son decided he wanted to try archery and ended up buying equipment from them. He also ordered older style bows from overseas. Not too expensive.
  20. Th swift we had also had a cvt. No problems but we sold the car at 115k kms. This was the cheapest to maintain car we have ever owned and used to average 18km/l. CVT's on this car can exceed 300K kms with proper maintenance (according to an independent suzuki garage I know of). Shocks and bushes fail well before the cvt will.
  21. These aren't the only diesels though are they? My crv diesel is quieter at 100km/h than the petrol equivalent. Then there is a range of other European diesels that are more refined than pickups also.
  22. Bu your solar panels were not free right? After how long do they pay for themselves? If I owned an EV I'd probably get them, but out bill these days is just 4-5K a month, so not really worth it at this time.
