Sometimes they just don't know and everyone reacts differently. She was a bit surprised ay my night time incontinence (think my prostate is slightly enlarged), but upon some research I did find that this is a side effect, albeit a rare one. I schooled her that evening 😄 So anyone with prostate problems should probably avoid CCB's.

Hugh blood pressure is really bad for the kidneys. Never leave high blood pressure untreated.

Yea, I asked the doctor I waned to changed and he was fine with it. I just changed over. On that very first night I slept soundly and didn't wake up till the morning. I use olmetech (the arb). 20 mg at night time along with a statin. I don't have any obvious side effects but it's important to get regular blood tests to check on kidney and liver function. I'm a bit fatigued on occasion but maybe I'm just a lazy sod. lol.
-
Deep breathing will reduce it but the effect is very temporary. I changed from one BP med (a calcium channel blocker) to an arb with no issues. The CCB would have me up going to the bathroom 4.5 times each night. It has the effect of relaxing certain bladder muscles. That is not a common side effect but I couldn't tolerate it.
-
I remember the first time I started on BP meds it took around a week or more to settle to a regular level. There were variations day to day, but generally always below 130/80 or thereabouts. My mother has had high BP since she was 50, and mine developed over time (especially during lockdown). It was always borderline accorsing to my doctor - around 135/85. You really should stay below 140/90 according to European standards.

Sales are at their lowest across all sectors. Pickups especially - I'm pretty sure they aren't buying EV pickups. As for suzuki, their dealers will remain open to service current customers, will import and sell suzukis, and guarantee spares for 10 years. Plenty of outside garages specialize in suzuki also. Petrol and diesel cars are not going anywhere for a long time in Thailand, barring any interference by the government.

Visa-free entry for Chinese nationals has many consequences

LOL you are having a laugh. the '19' is for 2019. Got any new antivaxxer conspiracy theories? Would love to hear them! -
I use olmetec (an arb), and chlovas (a statin). and have no physical side effects. Blood tests are normal, LDL went from 160 to 84 in less than 3 months. I don't think any amount of garlic can reduce blood pressure appreciably. Neither exercise in my case for BP and a change in diet did not change my LDL.

Stupid hybrid newbie questions (new Toyota Yaris Cross)
DavisH replied to JTXR's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
You should easily exceed 20km/l in most situations. I drove a hired camry hybrid in Australia recently. It got a touch over 20km/l on average. That included heavy traffic for about the 3 hours it took to get from Brisbane to the Gold Coast. I was quite impressed. Even ym crv diesel can manage 22-23km/l on a decent run. -
Perhaps the buyer wants to not worry about recharging. Perhaps they want to actually get something for it if the sell it in 10 years time. Not everything is about speed. I warn you - sell your EV before the battery warranty expires. They are not meant to be driven beyond 10 years. This is not a durable Japanese product.

3 foreign teachers reached the retirement age of 60 at a private school I now of. They paid out full severance to all three (all 3 at 15+ years in the school. The school wanted them out so they paid severance. It may well not be the law, but they paid anyway. This paves the way for cheaper non-native speaking teachers (50% of the outgoing teacher's salaries), so it is basically a money saving scheme over the long term.
-
So the actual EV batteries are getting cheaper by the month? If the price is decreasing monthly, it's not because the cost to manufacture batteries is decreasing.
-
Or an imported one...I think any new swifts coming here will be hybrids.

Its a long list, not sure i can remember all of it. But you see the air intake with k@n filter. respray the top cover grey, anodised bolts on the cover. oil catch tank (doesn't seem to catch any oil lol). header and no cat, front sway bar, full exhaust (very loud at high rpm, but below 2000 rpm its as silent as a standard car. new injectors, and remap on e20. Wheels 16x7 AOW flow formed wheels/AP racing brakes - appear to be Chinese made but much better than stanard. Emotech coilovers (raised as high as possible but its still quite low). Inside we just changed the stereo to a pioneer, change speakers and did the door damping. The total cost is more than any sane person would pay lol. But we are keeping it for the time being so what we spent didn't really matter - and we didn't want to modify a new car. The wife has a city turbo that is faster than the swift is modified;) Will be changing the tires very soon to michelin pilot sport 4. I've used them before and they are excellent, especially in the rain.
-
We still have out swift. The wife was going to trade it for a new one but the dealer would give practically nothing for it. So we just modified it and now my son drives it. Goes and stops a lot better now, and fuel economy has improved.

Buying a car at the Bangkok Motor Show
DavisH replied to westsail's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
If yo are in Bangkok go to a few dealers at first and see what they can offer. Then go to the motor show (try the last day or two of the show) - they want to capture a few more sales before the show ends. See if they can match or better the dealers offer. You may get a better deal in a Bangkok dealer than one up country. When we bought our CRV, we got a better deal in Nonthaburi than in Ratchaburi (despite the fact that the owner of the Ratchaburi dealer is an old school friend of my wife). -

Do i need a degree to teach in high school ?
DavisH replied to steph83's topic in Teaching in Thailand Forum
Good luck getting a job in a k-12 school in Bangkok without a degree. Maybe in the middle of nowhere you could manage it. But all teachers in ym school have a degree and nearly all have the 5 year teaching licence. -
SUV suitable for long distance Highway travel?
DavisH replied to CanNot's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I have a crv (diesel 2019) and it's pretty comfortable (both the seats and suspension). The new crv hybrid would be a good choice for a new car. Plenty of power and good fuel economy also. The most comfortable car I've driven was a new toyota camry hybrid which I rented when I was in Australia a few months ago. -
It's an old post but Chlovas now come in 20 mg. I recently started on it. My LDL halved after about 6 weeks (based on another blood test at another hospital). I get it at the hospital where my doc is, but I don't pay for it as I'm under the civil servant medical benefit scheme.

I've had tinnitus for 15+ years, and it arose a day after I had a nasty head cold that I think was viral. I was in the bathroom when it started and hasn't gone away. So if its covid-related I do hope for your sake it resolves. Mine did not.

Fire sparks chaos: Lithium battery turns van to ashes in Chon Buri
DavisH replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
So a 2024 hybrid accord or camry is 11-13x more likely to catch fire than a new byd or tesla? BS!!!!! If your precious byd does catch fire its absolute toast. There is no way it can be saved. Anyway your seal will be worth nothing in 10 years, like most of the current evs on sale now. -
