Minus the 100-200K US in student loan debts. In many western countries, the chance for a gen zedder to ever own a home is a pipe dream. Many just stay linign with their parents as if they can get a job it would take years to put a downpayment of a house.

How do you think Thai people REALLY feel about Farangs?

The miserable farang moaners are the same here as they would be in their home countries. They would be happy nowhere. -

Who said that? And you think politicians represent the feelings of the people? I'd say Thais are generally neutral...uless you live in a tourist area where they will try to get every baht out of you. I personaly know only one xenophobic Thai...suprisingly he studied overseas and fluent in English. Probably got teased for being so fat I guess when she was there. -
As smog season returns, can Thailand avert another health crisis?

P.M 2.5 is a carcinogen. Avoid it if possible. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5920433/#:~:text=Previous epidemiological studies have indicated,%2C32)%2C and PM2. -
Hi my son is doing business. He did do a business math subject and said it was "hard". Many of the topics he covered (like basic calculus, logarithms), are not covered in GED or SAT. He managed to get through it though. He has fared a lot better with the language based subjects, rather than the quantitative ones. So even though a student may qualify via SAT and GED, it may not give a solid grounding in technical subjects. Quite a few of my students say 1st year bio/chem/phys/maths covers the content from high school. Here is the course description for biological science - There is some maths but not too much - https://muic.mahidol.ac.th/eng/wp-content/downloads/course_list/Biological_Sciences_63.pdf

If the water is continually agitated then the mosquitoes cannot breed there. The wife's family had this problem 20 years ago when they had mosquitoes breeding in the large bathroom basin. I asked them to let the water drip slowly but continually. Now they have no mosquitoes breeding there. They dont like laying eggs on the surface of moving water.

Whre exactly are the mosquitoes coming from? Have you found larvae in pools of water lying around? Perhaps old basins and pots, or even tree trunks that hold water? If you can find them, even empty the water out or use bti. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacillus_thuringiensis_israelensis Spray/thermal fogging of adult mosquitoes won't stop the problem. You need to find the breeding sites of the mosquitoes. Hopefully they will be on your property and not someone elses, so you can deal with it.

What do we think of this from MG ?

How can you make this claim re: Chinese EVs? Come back in 10 years and we can talk resale value. I got 288K for a 10 year old suzuki swift, which is over 50% of it's retail value. N0 10 year old EV will manage that, regardless of where it is from. -
Firing and Hiring new teachers every year?
DavisH replied to Chris Daley's topic in Primary & Secondary Education
Most in my school have been there 5+years, many 10+years and a few 20+ years. No school in their right mid these days hires and fires teachers to somehow save a few baht. I see very few backpackers these days, as most schools hire qualified non-native speakers and they work for less and don't complain as much. -
My son's scores ranged from 165-174. Lowest on the US History/Social test, highest on maths. I don't think it's that difficult, and your child will need to pass the "pre-tests" (not sure what they are called), before doing the actual test. To get into the purple region, It starts to take an exponential amount of effort. , as a few wrong answers drops the score quickly. A few of my son's friends got the GED passing score and study at Bangkok University now. I think it's a reasonable path for someone not intending to pursue high level maths/science/engineering classes at university. They do require more rigor than is tested in the GED.

Or simply reduce deforestation worldwide, or plant more trees. They are your carbon dioxide sinks. Human development/industrialisation is the problem, not ICE vehicles. -
I've done this and it works fine. Didn't bother with the clear coat though. Later on, the lamps started to let water in, so just replaced them at 4K for a pair.

My son did GED due to the major disruption caused by the pandemic during his grade 11 (EP program). Many of his friends also took this route. He studied GED by himself using books. He also studied for IELTS and took the US SAT exam. For the GED, the pass score is 145 points / subject, but that is the minimum. Universities such as Mahidol accept a minimum total score of 600 for the 4 tests. My son is currently in Mahidol University International College, in 2nd year. Other universities may differ for their GED requirements.

I assume you mean prepping for International Programs in Thai universities? Does your daughter have any Thai language skills? I have a few students of mixed race but they grew up in Thailand and so fluent in English. Most bilingual / English programs will run less than 20-250K a year and they Thai subjects may include Thai language, Thai social/history and buddhism. This may vary from school to school. Try looking at these schools in Chiang Mai. She may need extra classes in Thai, but that isn't a bad thing, especially if she plans to stay in Thailand.

One user on TH Facebook page claimed most of the battery in the performance model was drained from a 290km return trip to Chonburi. This was at speeds of 120-160km/h. I imagine it will be much better at 100km/h

PPF could be 30-40K just for the hood, front bumper and front wheel arches. I did look into that. We have ceramic coatings on both out cars - they are good for minor scratches that are easy to remove, but they wont stop stone chips. The PPF can help there - avoid repainting if possible. I've not had a lot of success with properly matching panels. My wife's car got a small stone chip. I did use touchup on it an managed to sand it a bit. Looks ok, but not perfect.
