  1. Not disputing that money was taken from your account but I am wondering how you link that to the Lazada purchase? In the one bank transfer I've conducted with Lazada, I didn't have to provide any of my bank details. I went into my own account and authorized my bank to transfer money for a one time payment to the Lazada payment service. The only thing Lazada and/or the vendor would see is that a payment was made that corresponded to an order number.
  2. Might be just me but I interpret that as the two managers attempting to be polite to you, as opposed to just telling you that they're kicking you out of the gym. Whatever the case, I've been in that gym and you can find better for less than what you were paying so there's that.
  3. Slightly OT but.... For those who have embraced the QR code payment method, how do you know you are actually being charged the advertised price? You can't "read" the QR code for specifics before the payment, can you? What's the recourse if a vendor quotes one price and then the QR code payment results in a different price?
  4. You may know this already but you can ask WISE to "tag" your account so that it only goes through Bangkok Bank on the transfer. That's a reliable way to ensure the "FTT" code, if that matters to you. Caveat: it may take hours instead of seconds to completed the transfer. Mine are normally completed within 6 hours using a "tagged" account.
  5. Apologies for reviving this old thread.... Does anyone know if the Green Pharmacy that used to be in KSK relocated? Haven't been successful in finding anything from Dr. Google.
  6. I think your statement (bolded by me) is not factually correct. "Also, personal income taxes are not required for retirees in Thailand. Note that you can't work in Thailand while on a retirement visa." https://www.liveandinvestoverseas.com/country-hub/thailand/taxes-in-thailand/ https://thaiembassy.com/faq/do-retirees-pay-income-tax
  7. Quite probably correct because retired expats are not required to pay income tax in Thailand.
  8. You need a boarding pass as the re-entry permit desk is after security. Just plan for a little extra time in advance on the date you fly.
  9. Presumably the person in question was transferring a fixed amount of his home currency each month, which was enough (in most months) to convert to 65K THB upon receipt by the Thai bank. When the exchange rate dipped, he neglected to increase the amount of his monthly home currency allotment and that resulted in missing the THB minimum. (That's how I interpreted the post.)
  10. Presumably because the NFC reader in the store through which you would pay requires electricity.
  11. I think that makes 12 states now that have women governors. And 38 states where dinner will be served on time. ????
  12. If you have two middle names......you have no middle name. ????
  13. Have you looked at airbnb.com? I just did a mythical search for 1Jun-31Jul in Chiang Mai for a 3 bedroom abode and got 174 potential airbnb rentals. I didn't enter any other factors into the filters (i.e., price, kitchen, pool, etc.) so results will vary based upon your individual requirements. Best of luck and safe travels.
  14. Ordering food delivery is not lazy....it's "pro-business". ????
  15. I don't believe this to be true. The inoculation that my friend had was the second dose of the primary series (not a booster) and it is annotated as such. The second dose, like the first dose, is a full dose. As mentioned previously, the cost was 600 thb.
  16. Correct. That was the previous price, recently reduced (apparently). (I personally saw the bill yesterday and it was 600 thb.)
  17. A Thai friend of mine received a Moderna booster yesterday at CM Ram for 600 thb. Not free but not particularly expensive either.
  18. Apparently KSK is closing "temporarily" on 1 July due to lack of business. https://www.newsdirectory3.com/suddenly-covid-poisoning-kad-suan-kaew-shopping-mall-chiang-mai-announced-to-be-temporarily-closed-from-1-july-65/
