  1. Is the charity registered as a Foundation? If it is then the Foundation as a juristic person can register assets such as vehicles under its name.

If the charity is not a Foundation then a letter of understanding or indeed any document issued in the name if the charity is not legally binding as the charity has no legal standing.

The risks of putting someone else's vehicle in your own name boil down to keeper of record offences, such as if the vehicle is caught on camera speeding and the driver cannot be ascertained. If the charity doesn't pay then the keeper would be liable.

That said there are two halves to this, and the charity is trusting the individual with possessor title of the vehicle, so one would hope they would fix small issues such as potential speeding tickets.

I heard this term several times but not really clear about it. Who exactly is the "house master"? Is he/she so defined in a blue TB?

The house master is the first person listed in the book after the pages containing the particulars of the building. The house master does not have to be the owner of the building, although in the majority of cases they probably are also the owner.

  3. This topic is closed. Forum Rule 30 states:

Incidentally, from your description, you definitely did not see Stickman.

  5. It will take time. First, you need to make an online appointment with the British Embassy to make a certified copy of your passport:

    https://book-consular-appointment.service.gov.uk/TimeSelection?location=53&service=8

The nearest appointments are about 1 week away. The service costs £25.

Alternatively you can send your passport to them. Details here:

    https://www.gov.uk/guidance/notarial-and-documentary-services-guide-for-thailand#certified-copy-of-a-british-passport

Once you have the document you need from the British Embassy you will need to drop it off at a reputable translation company, along with a copy of your marriage certificate. The translation company will need a copy of your marriage certificate to get the exact translation required.

It's also likely the translation company will require a copy of your passport, so do take that to the translation shop aswell.

The translation shop will make the translation and then take all required documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for legalisation. The translation shop will need to book an appointment at the MFA. Again, there is a waiting time to get a slot. Once at the MFA the legalisation will also take time.

I believe there is an express option with the MFA if required.

I am currently having a document translated and legalised.

  6. At some point in the future her Thai passport will expire. Her next passport will have her new name on it. At that point her Thai passport and her Danish residency card will be in different names.

She can deal with it now or deal with it later, but at some point her residency card will have to be changed to her new name.

Sometimes it's better to do these things when you aren't in a rush and time is on your side.

  7. If you open a beer bar that only sells alcohol then you will be fighting against bars that make profit from other sources, meaning they can drop their alcohol prices to attract customers who will then pay for additional services.

Racing to the bottom with prices is a dreadful idea, but some owners still do it.

  8. I printed out my keys using archival ink and paper. I then encased these in clear resin. The resin blocks are in a pelican case. The pelican case is in a welded non-magnetic stainless steel tube. The tube is buried in concrete under my swimming pool. I have more than one pool in more than one country.
