You could, but what you would mean is that their actions are pedantic.

"You are being pedantic" would be more accurate.

Sukhumvit Soi 5. Walk away from Sukhumvit for about 100 meters and look on the right hand side. You will see a laundry sign.

Tiny little place, not much more than 5 square meters. It occupies a tiny corner of a foot massage/male grooming salon.

It's run by a very nice, straightforward lady. Prices are 100 baht per kilo for wash and dry. Ironing is extra per piece, and not especially expensive.

You collect your clothes 24 hours later. They also have an express option if you need something doing the same day.

Careful, you will walk past it if you are not paying attention.

No, because transfers to family members are taxed/charged as a Deed of Gift, and not a regular sale. Total costs are minimal.

The problem the OP has is that the land may already be encumbered with debt.

After spending money on taking the matter to Court, his 50 per cent of the equity may amount to nothing at all.

IF people are asking, then we can assume it's amounts greater than what can legally be carried out of Thailand. 

Any amount of cash can be legally hand carried out of Thailand, as long as:

1. The cash is legal, and

2. The cash is declared

You may also have to declare the cash at transit countries and almost certainly at your destination country.
