The Ministry of Labour does not resolve dismissal grievances. You need to go to the Labour Court.
It is free. You do not need a lawyer of any kind, but if you don't speak good Thai then you really will need to take someone who does.
The Labour Court acts fast and gives impartial advice. If you don't have a case they will soon tell you.
Keep us updated so you can receive further advice.

The Bank of Thailand's Anti Money Laundering (AML) threshold for currency exchange walk in customers without an account (that's just about everyone) is 700,000 baht.
Under that amount no reporting is required. Over that amount a report should be made by the currency exchange company.

I'll close this topic due to it's age and because the OP has sadly passed away and is not able to comment any more.

Blackcab thank you for the info , would i need to phone first or just turn up
Just turn up. They won't even bat an eyelid at 400,000 baht.
Even if you speak good enough Thai, they are not going to tell you the volume of the currencies they hold in stock. They will just tell you to come in to the branch.

400,000 baht to pounds will be no problem. There is no need to go to separate exchanges - I have exchanged considerably more than that without any concerns at all. At today's rate Super Rich (Head Office) would give you 10,075.56 pounds. Vasu would give you 10,088.27. Of course the rate might well change tomorrow so please check.
Be advised that Vasu on Soi 7/1 buy and sell currency. Most Super Rich branches buy currency only - they have no foreign currency for sale. You would have to go to Super Rich Head Office in order to buy, which is a 5-10 minute walk from BTS Chidlom. Click the link below to find them on google maps:
Incidentally, the cash reporting limit for the UK is 10,000 Euros or the equivalent in any currency, as the aggregate of all currency you carry. 10,000 Euros is about 350,000 baht or about 8,955 pounds. If you are cutting it fine then check before you fly.

The "pints" beforehand were the 330ml kind, yes, an Aussie schooner.
A schooner should be 425ml, or three quarters of an imperial pint (568ml).

Before you do, check the rates at Vasu exchange on the corner of Sukhumvit 7/1. Their prices are very close to Super Rich, and sometimes fractionally better.

One would think it is more than that?
I would have thought so too, but it's got to the stage where he has closed branches to consolidate costs. I really don't think he's making a fortune.

I have a friend who owns a Nissan dealership. His margin as a dealer is 4 per cent, so there isn't a lot of discount he can give. That 4 per cent has to pay for his entire business.
He explained that he has a series of sales thresholds that are advantageous for him to reach. I suppose if you caught him one car short of the next threshold one day before the end of the period you might get a discount, as long as the discount was less than what he would receive for making the higher threshold.
Other than that, he would prefer a bank transfer. The only thing he did say is that deposits only can be paid by credit card, so if you have a rewards card of one flavour or another then you can earn a bit that way.

Yes, well, I can agree with th HP sauce, but diluting a biscuit in hot water (enhanced by tea flavour) I don't understand.
It's a local ethnic ritual not fully understood by non practitioners.

Whose international standards? To be an international standard that governments adhere to there would need to be a legal instrument which nations become signatory to.
You need to tell us more.

Technically speaking, if the account is in your name only and the bank is informed that you are deceased, the bank should freeze the account until probate is sorted out.
However, some people knowingly give their pin number to their spouse, etc and instruct them to empty the account on their demise.

Try another branch. The Bangkok Bank on Sukhumvit near Soi 8 has airways been helpful as they deal with a lot of foreigners.

You do not need MFA certification. I recently applied for a visa for my wife, and I submitted many translations. None were MFA certified.
Visa granted.

Statutory leave and notification of leaving country

My answer to both questions would be not as far as I am aware.
As you will appreciate, if you cannot get approval you will have to go to Labour Court for meditation. You probably don't want to do that.
On the other hand, how many staff go AWOL then hand in a doctor's letter from a clinic stating something dire?
30 days statutory sick leave a year, which means unreasonable companies often lose out.
