I know this machine has a scanner, but I feel it's worthy of a mention anyway:
It has ink tanks that you buy bottles of ink for, and the manufacturer designed it that way. No need to retrofit ink tanks. WiFi printing (and scanning) and easy to use.
I mostly use it for printing, but having the ability to copy documents such as my passport is invaluable.
The economy is very good. I print a lot and rarely buy ink for the machine.

If the government of the day cannot pass legislation parliament can be dissolved.
Which law is that please?

Royal prerogative. This trumps pseudo democratic wolves watching their own henhouse.
The law is quite clear on the matter. The monarch had the ability to dissolve parliament removed in 2011.
The monarch dissolving parliament won't happen again unless the law is amended by parliament.

There is only one good solution to this. The monarchy must dissolve this incompetent corrupt and E.U. controlled government, and call elections after April 12th.
The monarch lost the power to dissolve parliament in 2011. Now, the two options are that parliament either automatically dissolves after 5 years, or parliament can be dissolved by a two-thirds majority vote in parliament.

They do accept promptpay, but at the moment only for Thai citizens.
The current system for non-Thai people is a complete waste of everyone's time, so hopefully the process will be streamlined. If you want to digitise refunds then there is not much point replacing a paper cheque with a plastic card where you have to withdraw the cash from an ATM - other than pushing the cost of the transaction away from the Revenue Service and onto the bank - which is a state owned enterprise.

Now I do not know why this change was made
The government wants to stop using paper cheques.

An off topic post has been removed. This topic is about credit scoring and mortgage availability in Thailand.
It is not about Donald Trump or banks in Germany.

@JRG23 You can apply wherever you reside. You will have to supply proof of residence anyway.
In Bangkok I believe you have 90 days after expiry to renew. After that you have to start again.
Remember that a 5 year license is only available to those on a 1 year extension of stay. You will find it tough getting a 5 year license on a visa exempt, a visa on arrival or a 90 day visa.

The company I work for owns a number of Thai style apartment buildings. Last year we transitioned away from rent payments in cash. Now nearly every payment is made by bank transfer.
We used to have building managers with several hundred thousand baht cash in their offices, and their safety was a concern for us.
Now we just reconcile the bank credits against the invoiced amount. It's much easier all round, and it frees up the managers who don't have to sit in their offices five evenings a month until 9pm waiting for tenants to come and pay.
It works for us, and we haven't had any complaints from the tenants. We do have a few elderly tenants that don't have smartphones and who would find it difficult to get to the bank to deposit the money. We still take cash from them just to make their lives a bit easier.
We are not the only building owners to do so. It would appear that other landlords in the area are doing the same thing.

A couple of general tips:
1. Call the destination and get them to explain where they are to the taxi driver. This might take 2 or 3 calls for updates as you get closer.
2. Use Google maps on your phone and guide the driver the correct way.
Street addresses can be almost meaningless unless you are talking about very large and well known roads. Some taxi drivers also cannot read maps.
Alternatively, can the destination arrange a taxi to meet you at a certain point at a certain time? They might know a driver who will offer a fixed price and who will know exactly where to take you.

I doubt it. The design was to run water away from the entrances.... where to we may now know!
I'm sure this was thought of, but the down ramps that lead to the tunnel are open to the elements. That means any rain that lands on the ramps will flow down into the tunnel.
Perhaps they have pumps. But as has been mentioned, pump the water to where?
Any engineers around to enlighten us?

I wonder if the tunnel and flyover have made this more likely.
I have always wondered about the wisdom of tunnels when it rains this much.
Is the tunnel completely submerged?

I can assure you that you can freeze plastic bottles of milk without opening them. You do not have to pour any of the contents out.
The bottle will not crack and no milk will be forced out. I always have a bottle in the freezer for emergencies.
Here is one from the freezer. The bottle is distorted a bit but that's it. When defrosted the container resumes its natural shape.

Don't forget to declare in your home country if that is required.

Transfer to NOK here. You will get a much better rate plus you can hand carry unlimited foreign currency out of Thailand.
Cash over USD15,000 (or equivalent) must be declared on the way out, which is a simple and straightforward process.
Have a read of this:

Fortunately foreigners need an Affirmation of Freedom to Marry, obtained from their Embassy. It can take a few days to get this, which is a very good thing.
Could you imagine if it wasn't necessary? There would be a little white wedding chapel in Nana Plaza. Maybe an Elvis impersonator too.

The new drivers arrived a couple of days ago from digikey. I was hit up for 20 per cent import duty, but what can you do? It was a choice of free shipping for orders over 1,600 baht, or make 3 smaller orders and pay the shipping 3 times. In this case the new drivers are heavy, as they are resin filled, so I think I made the right decision.
Here are a couple of pictures of the old and the new drivers. I will fit them when my wago connectors arrive. Old drivers on the left, new drivers on the right. The new drivers certainly look more durable than the old drivers.

Go to your Department of Land Transport with the usual documents, photocopies and 2 photos.
As you know, the documents required can vary between districts. In Bangkok I didn't need a medical, for example. There is no practical test or vision test, etc.
I forget what I paid for mine. I'm sure someone will be able to help with that.

Myanmar man found with millions of baht in Indian rupees on bus in Ayuthaya
in Thailand News
Posted
I would imagine he was arrested so the police could formally ascertain the source of the money.
For example, if the arrested person was a demonstrably wealthy businessman who had a record of paying necessary taxes then the ownership would have some credence (other than the fact that wealthy people don't tend to take the bus).
On the other hand if the arrested person has no reasonable answer regarding the source of the funds then further investigations would need to be made. What if the alleged owner stole the money and there is a very unhappy Thai-Indian person wondering where their stolen money is?
I think on the face of it I would agree with the police's action in detaining the man for questioning. If it's legit it can be sorted out quickly and no real harm done.
