Are they working yet? I mean the gates on the Non-Thai section of departures.
The last I saw they were installed but there was a rope barrier preventing their use.

As harry said, you get whacked for the whole lot.

Great idea. The biggest problem would be recruiting decent staff (and retaining them) and also finding reliable Thai businesses to support the idea.

You need to give us a bit more information.
What nationality are the married couple? Where did they get married? Where do they live now? Who is contesting the divorce - him or her? Why (or on what grounds) is that person contesting the divorce?
-
I would be tempted to go to the land office and pay the fee to get a copy of the chanote.
Just to check if there are any outstanding loans and also that the person you are dealing with is the owner.

"Thanks for all your calculations, really appreciated - and thanks also to meatboy for his STERN WARNING. smile.png I'll just buy Malaysian ringgit, Aussie and New Zealand dollars here in Thailand at SuperRich then."
Exactly.
If you have a bit left over keep good of it for next time. No need to lose on the conversion when you change it back. You also have the option of watching the prices and changing it back to make a small profit.
Remember that if you change back at Super Rich they only accept really good quality notes. No rips, tears, holes, missing corners, stains or too much writing. Any of this and they will give you the note back.
-
Why not do it the easy way? Choose a good currency exchange (Super Rich is good) and change your baht into NZD.
Currently, 24 baht gets 1 dollar.
If you change the baht into any other intermediary currency and then change to NZD it will be painful.

Q: I am wondering if one can register a business at a rented residential address, with the consent of the landlord?
A: Yes. However residential leases normally stipulate no business is to be conducted at the premises. You need to check what your contact says.
Q: If so, can more than one business be registered at that address?
A: Yes.

As mentioned, an invoice is a request for payment. A receipt is proof that you have paid.
In Thailand, however, you can also get a Tax Invoice/Receipt which is one document.

I have good experiences with SCB. Take your passport and your work permit and they will open you a savings account, sort you out an atm or debit card and set up your Internet banking.
You can have sms alerts for 20b a month too. It's all straightforward. Any problems and you can call their helpline.

Has anyone noticed that a portion of the quote function doesn't work now?
When you used to look at quoted replies, it used to say something like "blackcab said:" at the top of the quoted post.
Now there is nothing, so when you read nested quotes you have no idea who said what.

Did you ask about your work permit? Your employer has to provide you with the documents for you to apply.
His office address will be on the forms.

"Many Thai people, including some who are wealthy business people, are afraid of a cashier's check. This has been my experience."
For larger purchases you can pay your taxes and fees (if applicable) with a cashiers cheque. The land office does accept them, but it takes a little longer as they phone the bank to verify. In reality it's much quicker to use cash for taxes/fees less than a milion baht.

If you had bought a couple of days ago and sold today, your 400,000 euro would now be worth 600,000 euro.
Talk about volatile.

The spot price when you first posted was $15.80. Now it's $15.13. If you look at the charts in the last 5 years the silver price has slowly declined. Nobody knows the future, but the trend doesn't look like it's going up any time soon.
The problem you (and potential buyers) have is that the coins aren't particularly desirable in Asia, and they are difficult to sell at the spot price.
Your best market would be to an American or perhaps a European who could take them home and sell them. However they are only going to do this if they can make a profit, or it's not going to be worth their time and the risk.
At the minute a price of 450 baht a coin gives them $2.50 profit a coin, so for 20 coins they might make $50... but they have to meet you, spend time checking the coins (these coins are frequently counterfeited), take them to another country, sell them and hope the spot price doesn't follow the trend and drop in the meantime.

The original problem still exists. Nothing has changed.

I have been using the site perfectly well on my mobile until today, and now, like other users, I am experiencing problems.
I have also found out that the 'full version' button doesn't work, so there is no way at all to quote, view notifications, read/send/receive messages or to use any menu functions.

If you contact the electric company yourself remember that the developer has to claim their deposit refund themselves from the electricity company.
-
The only cost from the electricity company is the deposit you are required to pay to take over the meter.
The electric company are very helpful. If you give them a call they will tell you the amount of deposit.
As a guide, one apartment building the company I work for owns has a deposit of 48,000 baht - for the whole building.
You can deal with the electricity company yourself. I suggest you do and cut out the gouging.
One you have done this the developer can get their deposit back.

Give 1111 a call.
-
The commercial price the company I work for pays for water is about 16.4 baht per unit (including VAT).
Most apartments in know charge between 18 and 20 baht per unit

I'm having problems on android. I cannot use the 'quote' button and the menu button doesn't work.
As a result I can't see notifications or read/write messages.

The only guaranteed way is to give the assets to your children before you marry.
-
Guys, what if a foreigner father of 2 children, and registered under his name, but no registered marriage,
is there any option to apply for PR?
Yes, if you have a work permit and pay enough tax on your earnings. There are other criteria, but this is a good starting point.

So who is divorcing who?
And who is contesting?
Was this marriage registered at the district office 'on paper'?
Without this information you are not going to get many replies.
