I must remember to tell my wife that someone @bbkoknows said it's highly illegal for me to do any odd jobs around the house.
Perfect.

My last company car was a Mercedes S class, which I regularly drove myself in Bangkok.
Absolutely nobody looked twice, apart from other foreigners.
I was stopped at routine police alcohol checkpoints, but no problem as I don't drink and drive.
Nobody is going to tap your phone or search your home unless you are doing something extremely bad indeed.

@thedemon Thanks for the details about the online SSO card. I will give that a try later. I just tried to sign up, but the website said it was doing an update.

@problemfarang I haven't heard of anyone using their social fund cards to apply for a ThaiPass. If you do this perhaps you could start a separate topic to keep others in the same situation up to date.
I don't wish this upon you at all, but I am wondering what happens to someone with this card who tests positive on day 1 or day 5. I really hope nobody has to find out.

great info, thank you
and.. what documents do i need to apply? I already have it but not plastic only paper one. And i have my social security no too.
I didn't apply for it myself. From memory it was my original passport and original work permit, a copy of my passport, a copy of my work permit and an authority letter for the admin staff who went to the social fund office.

My question is: Can I purchase a foreign quota condo in Bangkok as the sole owner without my wife on the chanote?

Foreigners can buy up to 1 rai of land if they make a governmetn approved investment of 30 or 40 million baht (I don't remember the exact figure).
Foreigners can apply for permission to buy up to 1 rai of land in specific areas of Thailand after they have invested 40 million baht of funds that have been remitted from outside Thailand. The investment must be an approved investment.
After making the investment, the foreigner must receive written permission from the Minister of the Interior granting approval to purchase the land. It is up to the foreigner to obtain this approval; there is no specific form to submit to the Interior Ministry to gain approval. The foreigner has to be able to approach the Minister of the Interior themselves in order to gain permission.
Note that ownership is only for the life of the foreigner. After the foreigner dies, the land must be sold to a Thai citizen. It cannot be inherited by non-Thai children of the deceased.

How many years management experience do you have, and what did you manage?

Security guard: No
DJ: Maybe
Car washer: No
However, to get an extension of stay you will need to be paid 50,000 baht per month (or at least pay tax and social fund on this amount).
Your friend will also have to hire you through a limited company.
A non-B extension is one of the hardest extensions to get and it is a chore even in a completely genuine situation.
Foreigners who are not teaching are generally hired as professionals or experts in their field, which means management or subject matter specialists (or both).
There is zero chance of getting employed for a manual job as foreigners are prohibited from being employed in such jobs (with the exception of labour imported from neighbouring countries under special agreement).

I would be grateful if someone could help draft a statement or a lawsuit against the government.
@Fert Forum rule 5, which you agreed to when you became a member of this community, states that:
You will not use ASEAN NOW as a platform to gather support to effect changes on religious, political, or governmental issues.
Please stop that line of discussion.

You need to start working with the system, not wasting your time fighting it.
Either provide proof of funds in a Thai bank or leave the country, get the appropriate visa and re-enter.
Option 3 is talk to an agent.

Yep.
And it's tiled with hiso marble ????
Check all of the joints carefully. Chances are there is a gap in the grout, and/or the mastic sealant (if any) has been incorrectly applied.
You also need to check the floor tiling in the same way.
There is a very high likelihood this is your problem.
Most new condos have a 2 year warranty period for issues like this.

That's more than likely the source of the water. Do you have a shower unit on the back of that wall?

Duty and Vat are based on CIF. This is the same in just about every country in the world.
Otherwise everyone would sell items for 99 cents with 100 dollars shipping cost, and nobody would have to pay any duty at all.

What's on the other side of the wall?

I know an excellent Thai lawyer who is a Notary Public, but he is in Bangkok.
The thing is whatever Notary you use will need to see the originals and the copies in the same location at the same time, so you will either have to take or send all of your documents to whoever you choose.
If you don't feel comfortable putting your passport in the post it is going to mean a trip in person.
Again here we have dual pricing, This will just not go away
