  1. The agent i use charges 19K for Non-Imm O retirement (initial 12 month extension), then 14K 12 month extension renewal
  2. The OP was asking about health insurance requirements to cross state borders, NOT travel insurance. The Thai health system won't pick up the tab if you have no insurance, he's no 'cheap charlie'. You have no idea if the Op has taken out travel insurance. Don't assume . Travel insurance is optional and a good idea to have when one travels.
  3. KH, you have to be 66 years and 6 months to qualify for the OAP at the moment and 67 after 1 July 2023. Your argument is not correct. Go to the link below and become familiar with the age requirements for the OAP. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/who-can-get-age-pension?context=22526
  4. @steve73 you friend needs to send Centrelink a 'Proof of Life' certificate. All the details are here https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/proof-life-compliance-reviews-if-youre-older-80-and-live-overseas?context=22526
  5. I use Safari and have read the article. Was interested if KH, the continuous stirrer on this tread had read it. It has nothing to do with the OAP. He'll be back with his warped reasons why it will affect people living in Thailand receiving the OAP
  6. Are you a subscriber to AFR? The article is behind a pay wall
  7. MM you seem to troll the threads spreading bullish!t
  8. Can't say I have noticed something that is not there.
  9. Having worked in the aviation industry for over 35 years, you comment is total bullsh!t. Standard weights are use for pax on all/most airlines around the world.
  10. I transferred a large amount to my wife's account the other day on my banking app, from K Bank to Gov Savings Bank. My limit in one transfer is ฿5M. I'm sure Bangkok Bank would have similar facilities on internet banking or their Mobile App for large local transfers. If I transferred the money at the branch it would have cost over ฿500
  11. Thanks for your concerns. I've had to deal with immigration in Thailand for over 30 years and am sick and tired of being jerked around with their forever changing requirements, depending what office you have to deal with. Happy with my arrangements and that of the agent I use
  12. Convenience. Never have to step inside an immigration office myself. Only interaction with immigration is departing/arriving Thailand and prepared to pay for a stressless retirement. Thank you for your input
  13. NO, paying for their superior service, to the agent you used. Visa and extension of stay issued in 3 days and my passport wasn't lost
  14. A recent customer of Thai Visa Centre for visa services and can recommend them.
  15. Two step verification is becoming the norm these days. It is annoying but makes it that much harder for the would be hacker
  16. Visited my agent in Bangkok on Monday 17 October and picked up my passport with New Non-O based on retirement and multi re-entry permit on 19 October. Excellent and quick service and I didn't have to go near an immigration office, in fact no need for me to go to immigration for the full year of my extension of stay as the agent will do my 90 day reports. No STRESS at all
  17. Yes, another web page deigned by an IT illiterate web designer here in Thailand. Congrats you've found another Thai web page that doesn't function as it should, it's a common problem here in Thailand. Good luck in your endeavours to sign up to AIS Mesh WiFi
  18. That's the url you got to after clicking on the 'for current customers' at the bottom of the page somchaismith posted above
  19. TG cease ops out of Perth direct to Bangkok 30 October 2022. Last TG482 Per-Bkk direct departs 29 October 2022
  20. That's your opinion @Thingamabob No, too idle(whatever that's suppose to mean), too scared. Are you for real. You just keep doing the extensions yourself and I will continue to use an agent. STRESS free and no trips to immigration to be jerked around???? Thanks for your input
  21. None of what you quoted interests me anymore as I operate STRESS free through an agent. I did it long enough to get sick and tired of being jerked around by immigration officers and their interpretations of the requirements and each year different requirements. I'm happy to pay an agent
  22. Changed to a Non-O based on retirement last week to avoid all the hassles each year an extension of stay based on marriage presented. Now it's a breeze as I get an agent to do all the paper/leg work and no need for me to got to an immigration office. Yes, it costs more than the extension renewal, but it's worth it not have to front immigration and be @#%$*& around. A lot less STRESS
