  1. OK. That would be a good reason to avoid Scoot in future if they are incapable of checking you bags through to your destination via their home base on their service. I was looking at Scoot to Perth and return in the near future, but with their checked through baggage policy I will avoid them
  2. According to the web site thaiaircrafttrading, they have 6 B777-200 and 6 B777-300 for sale. With this latest announcement they have sold the B777-200 and probably 2 of the B777-300. Only speculation on my part
  3. That's right @Dan Ospeculation and guessing. Nothing more, with no evidence.
  4. Thanks IB2, I would never have know that. Only joined in 2005. Sarcasm off ????
  5. @ian carmanno relevance to this thread. Read the OP, then start your own thread
  6. A couple months ago I used TVC as was told the same , 1-2 weeks. Handed in passport Monday afternoon and they called Wednesday afternoon to pick up passport with visa and extension. Very happy customer
  7. The info on Thai Visa Service web page is, The Land border with Myanmar at Phu Nam Ron/Kanchanaburi is still closed and will remain closed for a while. Updated 13 December 2022 https://www.thaivisaservice.com
  8. Your correct, all comments by @Gottfridare always irrelevant.
  9. The production of SAF and how and when it is used is discussed in this article, https://simpleflying.com/how-is-sustainable-aviation-fuel-created/
  10. Jet A-1 is produced as follows, https://www.bp.com/en/global/air-bp/aviation-fuel/jet-fuel.html
  11. So you know @Gottfridwhy people do visa runs do you? I'd say you are just generalising and are probably way off the mark. But you are entitled to your ill informed opinion
  12. Yes, and the husband can legally work with a work permit. Retired, need ฿800,000/65,000 p/m can use 400,000 for seven months and then top up. Married, ฿400,000/40,000 p/m What's the logic behind the different amounts required was the question
  13. You've read me wrong @Onerak I use an agent, been jerked around for too many years by immigration
  14. No stopover required. He flew in the Royal Thai Air Force A-340, direct
  15. A Bangkok agent will do it for ฿14,000. Deals to be had if you shop around
  16. You can use half the deposit for seven months of the year to support yourself which is the same amount as required for a marriage extension, which can be used. Then you top up to ฿800,000 and that would indicate indicate you can support yourself with earnings. The same as an extension using the monthly deposit method, which you can spend the lot over 12 months. So why the other ฿400,000 required on deposit? Thai logic at it's best
  17. So the Thai immigration are looking after the foreigners on retirement extensions to stop them going into debt. That's thoughtful of them
  18. Same logic, when a foreign woman marries a Thai national no funds required at all
  19. Anyone care to explain why you can spend all the monthly deposits(from an overseas source) for 12 months of your extension if you choose this method of extension. Whereas if you use the ฿800,000 deposit method for 12 months you can only use half of your deposit. Is this Thai logic at work, or do I think too much????
  20. 'Big Joke' is not investigating agents who facilitate retirement visa extensions. He is investigating evidence that has been presented to him by Chuwit Kamolwisit and other much more serious visa infractions by wealthy chinese/thai businesses to facilitate Thai ID cards and visa extensions and illegal businesses amongst other corrupt practices
  21. No , the best deal in town for me is the MRT. Elders card you get a 50% discount. Make travelling on the MRT extremely cheap
