The interesting question, of course, is if these contaminated frozen shrimp products were shipped to the U.S. by an Indonesian supplier, would that same supplier potentially have sold the same products into its more local Southeast Asian countries market... where perhaps the radiation detection capabilities are not as robust as in the U.S.?

As best as I recall re my mailed submission, somewhere between 10 and 14 days ahead of my deadline at the time. My normal practice is to do my online reports right at the very beginning of the 15-day opening period. And in that case, as best as I recall, I did so, got the online rejection within a couple days, and then immediately proceeded to send in the mailed version by EMS -- hoping that might work and save me a trip out to BKK CW. The return response I got much later by mail didn't say I was late in filing. It said I was required to file in person at BKK CW, which I had already done.... by the time their mailed response arrived to my home.

I tried that once after a trip outside Thailand, after getting rejected online from BKK CW... And subsequently got a mailed return of my reporting form saying it was denied and I had to report in person.
