  1. So wrong, YOU are responsible for cancelling any EXTENSION and work permit. VISAS are not cancelled.
  2. If you truly have a VISA then that can not be cancelled, but you should cancel the work permit.
  3. Add the fact that the 2 months after and not below 400k is not even a 4 year old rule and it is easy to see that the OP's friend is "confused".
  4. Indeed it does, strange to have an under consideration period
  5. It shows the initial entry was Non-B, I just wonder if the extension for for a different reason?
  6. That's the context here except it's a non-B. The OP first applied on 1st Feb and was given a 3 week under consideration period. 1st extension was approved on 23rd Feb. Never heard of a Non-B extension having an under consideration period?
  7. "NOTIFICATION FORM FOR HOUSE-MASTER, OWNER OR POSSESSOR OF RESIDENCE OR HOTEL MANAGER WHERE ALIEN HAS STAYED." This is the title of the form. Makes it clear who can file a TM30
  8. More duff info, it can be the building "possessor" that is required to notify, not always the landlord, can be the rentee too.
  9. IF the METV is issued there would be NO problems entering as many times as you like within the validity, a far more likely senario is that an SETV would be issued.
  10. Wow, when was "that time"?
  11. That was a "border bounce", not a "visa run".
  12. Good question, "why?", answer, so that inexperience people are not mislead by false reporting.
  13. Newbie? I have been here 8 years with this profile and yet you have been here 2 years with your profile ?
  14. Actually it is 15 days before. Actually it is 1000 for a single entry Actually the fine could increase to 5000 Absolute hogwash, scaremongering non-truth. It would also appear that the article is talking about an extension of stay, not a visa. All in all, a factually incorrect and misleading load of tosh.
  15. He had heat illness for god's sake! Symptoms of heat illness include; Body temperature normal or slightly high. Fainting. Pulse fast and weak.
  16. Elite is classed as a tourist visa and therefore there is not an option to get a work permit with it.
  17. It is at the senior IO's discretion, as are ALL extensions of stay. If the senior IO says you can stay after your wife passes, then it is valid, if however they say it is now invalid due to her passing, then it is invalid.
  18. Might want to rethink your figure; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divorce_demography
  19. Yes it does, it is just that most immigration offices will let you have until the current extension runs out to sort out another permission to stay.
  20. Incorrect, you can do it in advance and leave on the final day, or cancel on the final day and leave that day - no 24 hour grace period.
  21. If he ever wants to get another extension based on employment, he must cancel this one.
  22. He does not have a visa, he has an extension of stay which DOES need to be cancelled at immigration.
  23. OK, you need to get a letter from your employer stating your last day of employment, go to immigration and cancel your current extension of stay, (this can be done in advance), you should also cancel your work permit, (but you say your school will do that). Then leave the country and apply for a new Non-B based on teaching. PS Yes you need to go to the same office that issued your extension to cancel it.
