  1. So no "Lock him up chants"? Seems like a fair and reasonable solution. He paid the taxes with penalties and fees already. The gun charge was a reach. Misdemeanor at best. It's not like he used the gun in committing a felony. Time to resurrect the laptop and dick-pics.
  2. Well that interview went about as well as a train derailing after hitting a dumpster on fire, then being overwhelmed by a volcano erupting. I guess Boris Epshteyn is his closest advisor, especially on legal matters, so things will continue to get worse for trump. It sounds like he is alone, with few of the adoring sycophants that he finds solace with. And no steadying hand of Ivanka or Jared. The end will be sad, not unlike his consigliere Roy Cohn, or Cohn's most celebrated client. There will not be a Trump International Airport, in the U.S.A. anyway. Maybe in North Korea or Russia?
  3. Eight? Thirty? Fifty? The obfuscation begins. Having the Police investigate themselves just means that police corruption will NEVER be addressed. An independent civilian board needs to oversee the RTP. Nate probably should have had an on-screen and written (in the description/more area) disclaimer saying that "No real policemen were harmed making this video." And he should hire a few assistant editors to provide guidance going forward. It is interesting how many "Actors" appear to be real policemen. Especially the girth-challenged, with the shirt buttons about to pop and put someone's eye out.
  4. It's going to be a nail-biter, and no one person is able to whip the vote, so unless this sort of coalition (BJT kicker) happens things could get crazy. ~ Twenty of BJT's seats are said to be subject to review per the EC. The Speakers vote comes first I think so that should be an indicator of the PtB's wind sock.
  5. What is this medication? What is her diagnosis? This is the same doctor which made her diagnosis, and prescribed the "particular medication"?
  6. Budget? Volume (of use)? A cold press machine is ideal. There are home units, and commercial units.
  7. When the Police find out how much he makes, Nate will be getting a haircut, and a red drum unless he coughs up several hundred million.
  8. Not entirely. In the film/tv show the transfer of the money is done online in an instant. See progress bar. Here the logistics fascinate me. Why are there enough 1,000 baht notes in circulation to deal with these massive pay-offs? Was it an int'l inbound transfer, domestic? That must require a visit to a branch? Surely transfers on the order of 7 M require additional bank management review? Then at the arriving bank they must have a clearance protocol for 7 M? Then somebody has to purchase luggage. And the arriving bank surely has security protocols? And reporting requirements. Then counting out the cash and stowing it in a pink suitcase? Like, nothing to see here. Graft, corruption, extortion are de rigueur here, so maybe they some special window at the bank for Big Money. Actually I assume the corrupt police, all but three of them, have banks/accounts/contacts in place for emergency transfers. Then who wheels all these suitcases around? I could handle two. Then leave them at a temple? Seriously, monks in on the transfer? What's their cut? I'm rarely amazed at any corruption here, but paying a 140 m cash bribe must require a boat-load of coordination and work.
  9. National Police Chief Police General Damrongsak Kittiprapas said that he needs seven days to investigate this matter. He also said that at least thirty real police officers were in the video, and any others were actors.
  10. There is so much wrong with this story, not the least of which is the transferring of 28 m or 140 m baht into Thailand, or between personal accounts. Then someone walking into a bank with a giant suitcase and getting 7 m (at 4 banks) or 28 m at one. Seems like no checks whatsoever on money laundering here. And no one asks questions at the bank? And the bank has enough cash on hand? Do the Royal Thai Police have their own bank? Or do they use one bank for all their illegal activities?
  11. This one, and it should happen more often. But the problem is that the accuser usually has higher status, so is immune from a counter-suit. "Serial moaner". Classic. https://twitter.com/ThaiEnquirer/status/1669332599624568832
  12. Pretty soon we'll be told that this didn't happen. Blame it on AI or ChatGPT. Yes, they were real policeman, working as actors portraying real policemen. You would think they'd come up up with a believable statement. Just admit somebody messed up, and that it won't happen again.
  13. Wait. What? No gaffes. No tripping/falling? No misspoken or mysterious words? Seems pretty dynamic, ya know, for a guy who is supposed to be holed up in a basement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o9e0LkrcMY
  14. Yeah. Now it requires overtime to make up for the missing "collections".
  15. https://www.nationthailand.com/business/30174502 Uh? Feel like there should be a treasure map in this story. X marks the spot. How does an edible starchy tuber increase in value? Were these Crypto-tubers?
  16. Yeah the RTA won't be happy. I wonder who will be the Defense Minister? And that sub may have go with sails instead of an engine.
  17. Idiotic article/op-ed piece with no author. Trying to minimize MFP by comparing it to a K-pop group's fans is imbecilic. And excluding insurrectionists like Korn is a plus, not a negative. from the article.... Yuthaporn Issarachai, a political scientist from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, said that Move Forward supporters, particularly those on social media, appear to wield a great deal of influence on its decision-making. “Move Forward has to bow to the demands of its own fandom,” he said. No, it doesn't. It simply has to explain why, or why not, they are able to accomplish any reforms of the Institution, or any of the other platform issues.
  18. I see some are claiming that these are actors portraying policemen, and/or policemen working as actors portraying policemen. The reaction from the brass seems to be dissatisfaction with Pol.Lt.Gen. Commander of the Provincial Police Region 7 and Pol.Lt.Gen. Phairot Khumphai, Commander of the Provincial Police in Chanburi Province. As with many things here, many different "stories". I guess he tried to get this done in Kanchanburi, but the local police commanders declined.
  19. These numbers seem to change day to day; I think the total was 79 a day or two ago? The EC has one year to conclude investigations, and would presumably, in some cases, refer cases to other 'enforcement' organizations? Twenty (20) from PTP, four (4) from MFP, I think.
  20. It's good to remember history...it repeats itself quite often here. 2001 January 6 - Thaksin's Thai Rak Thai (TRT) party wins in general election January 18 - Constitutional Court agrees to put Thaksin, who is set to become prime minister, on trial for allegedly concealing assets when he was in government in 1997. The move comes a month after his indictment by the National Countercorruption Commission, an independent body. Thaksin denied any wrongdoing in the case. February 9 - King Bhumibol Adulyadej appoints Thaksin prime minister. He would become the country's first prime minister to serve a full-term in office. August 3 -- In an 8-7 decision, the Constitutional Court acquits Thaksin of concealing assets, citing insufficient evidence. He avoids a ban from politics. It took ~ six months for the court to come to a decision. Thaksin had a HUGE electoral mandate ~ 248 MPs from 500, and no senators. MFP has 151 from 500 with 250 patrician senators.
  21. Thailand appears to be the Hub of on-line gambling. And an informal club-house for international criminals. Bad guys in, good guys deal with new rules.
  22. This must be a huge embarrassment for the Royal Thai Police. A Gigantic Joke. Every participant should be suspended without pay for at least 90 days. And the entire chain of command needs to be sacked. I can't believe the police unholster their weapons. Can't tell for sure but it looks like some Special Branch 191 members?
  23. He is Pakorn "Boy" Chatborirak. They say he is/was a very popular actor. You'd probably recognize him from adverts, Lakorns. Not sure exactly how he is tied to the original embezzlement, exactly. He may have helped, those who embezzled the 1.58 Billion baht, clean the money by purchasing high ticket items from the culprits. My guess is that he was an unwitting participant; he simply bought a Lambo off a friend. AMLO since seized the Lambo, and Lenny Lamborghini, the policeman, probably now owns it? It's all confusing, like most big crimes here, as everyone starts to hear about the big score and they go hunting for a piece of the action.
  24. The Post is a wonderful film, totally re-watchable. 10 books to read if you loved The Post https://ew.com/books/10-journalism-books-the-post/ A couple of other options: PBS Documentary - Daniel Ellsberg: The Most Dangerours Man in America https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXlmQeSpqI4 The Pentagon Papers (2003 feature film) James Spader as Ellsberg is weird after Ultron and 10 years of Raymond Reddington. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVmnjCOVJrE
