  1. Some Durham True Believers still hanging on. Amazing. Have a good cry, move on. As Dr. McCoy would say, "Damn it Jim, he's dead."
  2. So has he been speaking out about the Senate in general, since the latest Constitution was ratified? Most who voted for MoveForward probably think this guy is part of the problem. With this endeavor it seems like he's jumping on a train late. That's never a good look. IMO, he's just trying to remain relevant and remain in the pbulic eye because, well, he's vain. He should move back to whistleblowing, police corruption.
  3. Disney's Song of the South is probably OK though. Zippity Doo Dah... Who the heck wants to be a teacher? It already sucked, low pay, buy your own classroom supplies, but now, sheesh every teacher will be afraid to say or do anything.
  4. Cannabis was not the defining issue, not even top 10. Yes, MF and PTP voiced concerns about cannabis, but mostly about regulating the industry, rather than re-criminalizing it.
  5. Anutin was a member of Thai Rak Thai, and served in the Thaksin administration. So not the strecth you portray. https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/politics/40020007 He's probably in negotiations, which would also include some imdemnification for Saksayam. Energy, Interior, Commerce, DES?
  6. Anutin Charnvirakul served in the Thaksin administration and was a member of the Thai Rak Thai party (and had a five year ban as a result), so he/BJT might also fit in a coalition government.
  7. I guess I'm surprised no one posted a link to the Commencement Address? (Pardon me if someone I ignore did.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97gytSrWlIM A relevant document... Strategic Intelligence Assessment and Data on Domestic Terrorism - 2022 As required by the National Defense Authorization Act, the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Director of National Intelligence, have produced this strategic intelligence assessment on domestic terrorism, which includes a discussion of activities, certain data on domestic terrorism matters, and recommendations. https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/fbi-dhs-domestic-terrorism-strategic-report-2022.pdf/view https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/fbi-dhs-domestic-terrorism-strategic-report-2022.pdf search for superiority of the white race
  8. So much for the will of the People. And it is amusing that the appointed Senators are telling the elected MPs, what can and cannot happen. Nice Democracy you got there, be a shame if something happened to it, I don't think they can peel off ~ 68 Senators, at least not without promising not to pursue reforms, or bring back Thaksin.
  9. Maybe all the Durham fanbois can have a good cry, get it out of your system and move on. Plenty of other "conspiracies" to prattle on about.
  10. "...this was unprofessional, and failed to meet the standards of the Justice Department and the FBI" Tapper quoting the report. ~ 4:25 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICLExVTNxZ8 Maybe Comey should be fired? Oh, right. Nevermind.
  11. How many passengers saluted, reflexively? Did the train run on time?
  12. Is this based on second-hand or third-hand information/sources? And is OK to ask where Hunter Biden's laptop be at? Is that still a thing?
  13. I'm waiting for the "Bill Barr Approved, Condensed Version". Durham brought three cases, he lost two. The one he won, was for an FBI lawyer who altered an email to get search warrant. He got probabtion+community service. Kudos to AG Garland for letting "Bull" Duham have all the time he needed to finish his "investigation". I do feel for all those here who were predicting catacylsmic charges in this, "biggest political scandal of all time". They anxiously awaited each step Durham took. Then, whimper. Off enjoying another Nothing-Burger.
  14. Yes. Sure. During the election. And of course they can continue to voice their opposition, and vote in Parliament against any reforms. But holding a government in waiting hostage? Not a good look. There are some off-ramps but ultra-Royalists will not allow ANY reforms, nor even any discussions about reforms, so there is a deadlock.
  15. Interesting that this was done "quietly".
  16. MoveForward ran on a platform which included certain reforms of the Institution. Millions voted for MF based on their platform. It would be disingenuous to abandon this plank NOW.
  17. My guess is that he wants to appear to be a player, AND prevent MF from asking BJT to join a coalition.
  18. Meh, overly simplistic, and that's not what is holding back BJT joining the coalition. Pita can offer a different ministry, other than MoPH (and MoT for that matter), and still reign in Cannabis, if that is important.
  19. She should speak to her fellow South Carolinian, Lindsey Graham, whom I think proposed a Federal ban. She shouldn't speak to Tim Scott who clearly doesn't have a definable position. IMO, Ms. Haley is weak and shallow, and duplicitous. As are most Repbulicans on this issue. She'll say anything on this issue to get through a news cycle. Nikki Haley calls for 'consensus' and 'sensitivity' on abortion but says specifics will take work "I do believe there is a federal role on abortion," Haley said. Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley on Tuesday made a her case for a "consensus" on abortion, an issue that continues to divide conservatives. But she stopped short of adopting strict stances -- such as embracing or rejecting a national ban at a certain week in pregnancy -- beyond saying the government needed to have some role and stressed that she wanted fewer abortions in the country. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/nikki-haley-calls-consensus-sensitivity-abortion-avoids-specifics/story?id=98829598
  20. Probably not unless he commits to not allowing any reforms of the Institution, and does not allow Thaksin to return. BJT has enough seats to help a coalition assume power without any Senators votes.
  21. If Pita commits to: Zero reforms of the Institution Not letting Thaksin back He will garner enough Senate support to become PM. If not, can't see that happening. Obviously BJTs seats could put him over the top, so he'd be wise to keep Chidchob on speed-dial. This (BJT joining the coalition) may also be why Chuwit lost his grip at MoveForward HQ? It is said that some Senators are willing to support Pita without these pre-conditions, but maybe not enough and those that are willing are being very "demanding".
  22. It looks like MVF will not ask BJT to join in the government, even though their seats would put them over 376, and will try to peel of ~ 60-70 Senators instead. Odds are moving on Cannabis restrictions, maybe medical only with a qualifying condition, for Thais only, subject to a DTAM Doctor's examination and approval.
  23. Until such time as someone OD's on a sex toy, the police should focus on drug interdiction. Of course with daily busts of millions of pills of meth, and ketamine, maybe they need some time to relax with the toys?
