  1. You can turn data off within the network: AIS customers can turn on and off mobile data via SIM card by dialing *129*1# (turn off) and *129*2# (turn on). You can also turn data off within the phone's OS/menu. You can, and have, enabled international roaming Enable IR: *125# SEND The AIS app, MyAIS, probably allows all this stuff and more?
  2. The PPP members resigning will go to the UTN/Prayut. The Dem members will go to either PPP or UTN. Assuming they get "elected". Thai-style democracy in action, or more colloquially, the "Pre-election".
  3. 13 days? Did he have to go to a fortune teller to choose the most auspicious deadline? It looks like Chuwit is trying to peel off 10-ish BJT seats, thereby leaving them out of second (or third now) spot in the next government. It feels personal, but I'm not familiar with the Chuwit/Chidchob "dynamics"? PPP and UTN should face no challenges finding enough small parties to form a coalition. Many have resigned from Parliament and jumped parties, I think the Dems lost at least two members yesterday.
  4. Is there a ban on cannabis sales? I'm guessing yes, but am honestly not sure.
  5. We got us a real cat-fight. Anutin sent MoPH investigators to inspect Chuwit's cannabis dispensary within his Davis Hotel property.
  6. Uhm, yeah. That's pretty obvious. Thai bullfighting is Bull vs. Bull.
  7. Do they have a lot of strip clubs on public property in Tennessee? A lot of these laws seem to strain Constitutionality on a number of fronts. And leave the definition of "prurient" as, well, undefined. I guess Police and public prosecutors will be left to judge what is acceptable. So much limited legislative time spent on these laws? Surely there are bigger problems to address?
  8. Who's gonna tell Mr. Segal that this award comes with mandatory conscription?
  9. Can you elaborate on your experience? You made an appointment? You paid by credit card, or USD? You paid 100 THB for the EMS? (Is there still a Thai Post EMS kiosk there?) Has anyone successfully used the trial/beta credit card payment option (at Pay.gov) for a mail-in renewal? https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/faq-on-line-payment/
  10. ...will be in place shortly after the Thai research team successfully crossbreeds a pigeon and a pig.
  11. Prawit Wongsuwan wants you to forget his past misdeeds, don’t Why not? He has. Krue Se and Tak Bai occurred on his watch as RTA headman.
  12. Big in Isaan, ask around. I'm sure it's available in/near Bangkok too. Those little boxing gloves are amazing. And who knew fish could wear shorts.
  13. Where did you get this "information"? That figure is for "routine" renewal service in the U.S. Most people here report ~ 15 real, non-holiday, working days, door-to-door (EMS) via the Embassy in Bangkok. In the U.S. Processing Times Routine 8 to 11 weeks Expedited 5 to 7 weeks https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/processing-times.html
  14. Bone-in ribeye, craft brewed beer, really? Goin' all hoity-toity there. Why spend all that money when Spam and Pabst are available? Better yet, mix Pabst and the IPA, and grind the ribeye and spam into a patty. FWIW, I think LINE is aggressively shuttering online cannabis outlets. I received three notifications, from suppliers/growers, in the last two days. All have mentioned using the Chat function to stay up to date on offers.
  15. DOMINION'S COMBINED OPPOSITION TO FOX NEWS NETWORK, LLC'SAND FOX CORPORATION'S RULE 56 MOTIONS FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT Feb. 27, 2023 https://int.nyt.com/data/documenttools/dominion-fox-news/54e33f20f7fb6e8d/full.pdf During Trump's campaign , Rupert provided Trump's son-in-law and senior advisor, Jared Kushner, with Fox confidential information about Biden's ads, along with debate strategy. Ex.600, R.Murdoch 210:6-9; 213:17-20; Ex.603 (providing Kushner a preview of Biden's ads before they were public). But, on election night Rupert would not help with the Arizona call. As Rupert described it: "My friend Jared Kushner called me saying, This is terrible, and I could hear Trump's voice in the background shouting." Ex.600, R.Murdoch 65:6-8. But Rupert refused to budge: And I said, Well, the numbers are the numbers. Id. 65:9. By this point, Rupert knew no fraud had occurred: Ouch.
  16. Correct, and I fully support his right to share his opinions. And I encourage him to continue to do so. More Scott Adams, he can publish his cartoon, which is about as relevant as cave paintings at this point in time, on Twitter, he can stream online all day, every day. His voice should be heard, IMO. Given that many here choose to deny/deflect/obfuscate I'd say they want to avoid the whole point of this thread.
  17. So the woke mob is cancelling a Fox News host? I'm sure the usual suspects will be along to scream about this injustice. What will Elon tweet? (WWET)
  18. Now I understand why illegal online betting (Macau888) became so popular. Some of the bull fighting videos on YouTube are pretty gory. Steak-sized hunks of flesh hanging off the horns. And these fights can go on for a long time. Thailand is big on gaining UNESCO Intangible Heritage designation on cultural/cuisine (Tom Yum, Khon) unique to the Kingdom. I'm sure they'll be submitting some/all of the "sports/activities" for recognition going forward. Are these events marketed to tourists? Other than Muay Thai. TAT should make a promotional video, and Vloggers could promote these events.
  19. What to do with all the plastic bags now? And 55 gallon oil drums? Interesting that there is normally not a problem issuing a law/regulation and instructing the police to enforce it as soon as it is published in the Royal Gazette. Disappearing political opponents is in the local DNA. Clearly they don't want to let it go.
  20. Still anxiously waiting for his film: Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, which is now due 3 March. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdZ-BWWQcWQ Had to be reshot as the original villain was Ukranian.
  21. Yeah, BMW, gone, house, gone. This is why financial advisors and lawyers tell you that you can never have enough too much insurance. Or as one put it, "say you run over a 28 year old anesthesiologist"... She probably would have been able to plea down to a misdemeanor or two had she not done a runner (both from the scene, where should have stayed, or from the U.S.)...NARRATIVE: she was sober, on her way to work, it was dark, no street lights, victim was walking in the road, and had been ejected (why?) from an Uber after attending a NYE party. Now? Maybe she can shift some blame to the Uber driver? Or the hosts of the party?
  22. I was referring to the new western section. Which is what, I think, Chuwit is talking about. The eastern section, which is nearing completion, is what Forza2002 posted about.
  23. Yes. And if they fall back to medical-only that will further complicate retail distribution. Many hope that after a year without any issues recreational use will stick, albeit with a lot more rules, regulations. A new Minsiter of Public Health could easily rescind Anutin's order, or severely modify it before a new Parliament gets around fashioning a new Cannabis Control Act. Yes, there are too many physical cannabis outlets. One list I saw said 3,800 in the country and 880 in Bangkok. Not sure how many are licensed? The licensing process is fairly simple, not too expensive, but a significant number (20% ?) are probably unlicensed. Yes, there are too many online outlets. Yes, there are too many people growing too much cannabis. Yes, too many people are investing too much money in cannabis retail activities. These shophouses were empty, and what are you going to put in these spaces? Another coffee shop, 7/11, bakery, massage joint, beer bar, nail salon, hair salon, pharmacy,....? Nothing really new here. I've visited some dispesaries in Thai-dominated areas of Bangkok. Most have been opened since July, 2022 and are still open. Search YouTube for "weed shop tour" this month. There are some big spots as well. I think foreigners need to have a minority stake and have a Thai partner with a majority stake. Berner opened his Cookies shop on Ruam Rudee to great fanfare.
  24. BEM (Bangkok Expressway and Metro PLC) won the bid over Italian-Thai, by bidding quite a bit LESS than Ital-Thai. Shenanigans are possible through the usual routes, mostly kick-backs and overcharges and delays. But on this one it may be the land/property buy-back that is "curious", and has caught Chuwit's attention?
  25. Which finalist came up with PEDERAST?
