  1. Thread title: Epstein Coverup Continues
  2. This is encouraging news. Given past performance, these might start showing up ~ 22 July.
  3. Hard to figure out how anyone still believes this.
  4. Always interesting that those who fervently believe in the "Epstein List" rarely mention "victims" - girls and young women abused by Epstein, and their suffering. Instead, they traffic in lies and conspiracies to advance their political agenda.
  5. Hopefully someone will ask and get an answer re: the status of the 2025 7162 firm. I wouldn't want to take up a slot for those who have more pressing requirements (enrolling, sorting out a stoppage of benefit payment, etc.)
  6. If you are staying in a hotel, while on holiday, they may file a TM30 for you, and now your TM30 and TM47 will be "out of sync". So your TM47 (online) may be rejected, as it does not match your holiday TM30. And you may want to file a new TM30 when you return to your 'main' domicile. The 90-day clock turns off when you depart Thailand, and restarts at day 1 when you reenter.
  7. Both Srettha and Paetongtarn announced drug crackdowns. Srettha also staged a brief crackdown on "influential people" and predatory moneylenders. I think there is a PM playbook with a checklist.
  8. I think I remember seeing a note in one of the new version release notes - these pop-up when logging in - where the search/retrieve/download (PDF) period was extended from seven days to fifteen days. (Could have been a senior moment). The website still says Important Note: -Data are shown within only 7 days of Check-in Date But I think the video says "sip ha wan". (00:50) and the sample search is 8 or 9 days back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BN_oU1OsOaY&t=3s&ab_channel=IMM-SD-Live Agree that outside whatever window it is best to just file a new record.
  9. Thailand will be lucky to get the same terms as Vietnam, sans the Starlink approval. 20% export (to the U.S.), 0% import (from the U.S.) Plus the 40% trans-shipment levy (20% + 20%) Probably have to give the first casino/entertainment complex to Eric Trump
  10. This might be a good question for your "Doctor" or your "Pharmacist"? AFAIK, smoking cannabis anywhere where it might be considered an annoyance remains illegal. Definitely illegal in/near schools, temples. Individual establishments and buildings may have their own "rules", such as condos, hotels, restaurants, clubs, etc. I have not seen any statement from the RTP re: cannabis patients' rights.
  11. Yeah, that was weird; it was the first time I've ever received an email from SSA. from: Social Security Administration <[email protected]> mailed-by: us-east.subscriptions.ssa.gov Also posted on the ssa blog https://blog.ssa.gov/social-security-applauds-passage-of-legislation-providing-historic-tax-relief-for-seniors/
  12. In 2022 first arrived July 8. But yes, normally mid-June-ish. I didn't look at posts for previous years.
  13. This is for NEW Direct Deposit requests? Changes to existing Direct Deposit instructions (new/different bank)? Additional details/links may help others.
  14. Thanks. Yeah, that AI description is much more detailed than the ThaiPost Mart description, where EMS service is not mentioned. Curious to hear from others if this yellow envelope is always used if there is an EMS sticker if the tracking number from the ThaiPostMart (my purchases) matches what was on the envelope delivered if anyone was able to successfully track the delivery Ideally, the embassy could include the EMS tracking number when/if they send the notification email - " that we've sent your new passport today".
  15. Is the ThaiPost Mart Courier Pass Back envelope delivered, from the Embassy to your home, via EMS? Or regular surface mail? For 100 baht, it seems like it should be via EMS? And if it is via EMS, IME, I have to sign a handheld terminal upon receipt. And I can track the delivery. Once it is scanned into the system by ThaiPost upon receipt (at the Embassy), or other entities IME. Who files the police report if the passport (new and old) never gets delivered? The EMS driver?
  16. Murkowski folded for a few small add-ons for Alaska. (Two-year exemption on new food stamp requirements.) Not a Profile in Courage. Federal minimum tip wage is $2.13 per hour. Taxable social security is reduced by ~ 75% currently using the worksheet. These two aren't even big enough to qualify as breadcrumbs.
  17. Just my opinion... This SSA policy "Allowing Signature Attestation on SSA-7161 and SSA-7162 for 2024 – One Time Instruction" is for those few folks who may not have received the 7162 owing to local postal difficulties. I'm still holding out hope that most of us will receive the 7162. The fact that no one has received it yet tells me it's not a Thai Post local delivery issue.
  18. Did your wife have submit her "old/current" passport card when applying for a renewal of both passport and passport card? Is one Thai Post mailer acceptable for passport and passport card renewals? Is the Thai Post EMS "return remailer" tracking code available from the ThaiPost Mart transaction/receipt?
  19. Bangkok Bank is also 250 baht as of today.
  20. New fee schedule KrungSri as of today 1 July 2025 https://www.krungsri.com/Krungsri2020/media/Banking-Rate/advance-notification/en/fee-withdrawal-krungsri-atm-for-international-card-01jul2025-en.pdf Page 8 Withdrawal via Krungsri ATM using a card issued by a card issuer in a foreign country (1) VISA Card / MasterCard 250 baht/transaction (2) UnionPay Card 250 baht/transaction (3) JCB 250 baht/transaction
  21. Judicial coup Constitutional Coup Military Coup A difficult needle to thread, especially when Daddy has his own trial starting Friday.
  22. "Travel"? Is departing Immigration checking for these Tax Certificates? (Most of us the automated lanes departing.) <Yes, I know these were required sometime last century.> Do you have to have filed a return in order to apply for a Tax Certificate? Or can you "apply" for a Tax Certificate without having filed a return? Do you file for a Tax Certificate at the same RD office where you filed your return? Has anyone here had to apply for a Tax Certificate in order to renew their extension?
  23. But those using the Money in the Bank method are certainly remitting funds, for living expenses, which would call for a tax return to be filed? Not sure it makes sense that they are excluded? Changing the requirements for visa extensions so significantly would require a lot of advanced notice given the thousands of people affected. Have these "Tax Certificates" been issued to date, to those who have filed returns?
  24. Some potential good news in this thread... https://aseannow.com/topic/1365129-proposed-revision-to-us-remittance-tax-in-bbb/
  25. They also did "Smiley's People", back in the day (1982). Too bad they never did "The Honourable Schoolboy" - supposedly written at the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok - to round out the Karla Trilogy". Too many locations I'd imagine, including Thailand. I liked the shows but the 2011 film was superlative. I've rewatched that ~ 2times. The cast is simply amazing.
