Melania snagged an "Einstein Visa". Melania Trump obtained US citizenship on a visa reserved for immigrants with "extraordinary ability" and "sustained national and international acclaim", according to a report in the Washington Post. Nicknamed the "Einstein Visa", the EB-1 is in theory reserved for people who are highly acclaimed in their field - the government cites Pulitzer, Oscar, and Olympic winners as examples - as well as respected academic researchers and multinational executives. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-43256318 No clue what type of visa the rest of her "chain-migration" family "obtained"?

Right now I'd say Trump is 55:45 to win. If he acts 'normal' for six weeks, stays on message, and wins the debate, he's a shoo-in.

Alina Habba is standing in for Melania.

You referred to Texas v. Pennsylvania. No clue what you now mean by "It was more than just PA."? 126 "congressmen" signing onto a mad plot to stop the peaceful transfer of power is hardly indicative of anything. "Standing" is important. Even a nine-year-old recognizes how silly it is for one state to try and tell another state how to hold an election. -
John McCain’s son blasted Trump’s visit to Arlington as a ‘violation’ Jim McCain is a 1st Lt, just back from a seven-month deployment in Jordan. James McCain enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17 in 2006. He served with 1st Battalion 1st marines as an infantry rifleman in Iraq during the surge of 2007. After leaving the USMC he received his bachelors from Arizona State University and rejoined the Arizona Army National Guard. He served in Afghanistan in 2014 as a squad leader in the infantry and oversaw the Guardian Angel missions around Kabul. After returning home he received his master’s degree in history from Trinity College Dublin. James currently has been accepted to attend OCS and become an officer in U.S. Army Intelligence. He lives with his wife Holly and two sons, Luke and Killian, in Sedona.

Yawn. One state, Texas, suing another state Pennsylvania arguing PA doesn't know how to run an election. Please stop the nonsense. The Supreme Court issued orders on December 11, declining to hear the case on the basis that Texas lacked standing under Article III of the Constitution to challenge the results of the election held by another state. -Wiki -
By this you mean the popular vote, right? Some say Harris might have to go to +6 points (%) to overcome the Electoral College bias. Based on that RCP tally, the two single votes in Nebraska and Maine may tilt the balance. (I see they have the ME single in red, while the state's two votes are in blue.) If it's 269-269 and that map sticks, Trump would win the vote in the House (one vote per state).

Hunter Biden Felony Fest - the new trial begins:
bamnutsak replied to theblether's topic in Political Soapbox
50:50. Need to get the trial finished first, then maybe sentencing. If the President grants a pardon, I know I would for my son under similar circumstances, then it would come on 19/20 January 2025. He won't leave this to the next president, obviously. Trump pardons dozens in final hours, including ex-aide Steve Bannon A statement from the White House listed the 73 individuals who had received pardons and the 70 who had their sentences commuted. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-55729221 -

Yeah, you don't see us libtards chiming in about voter suppression and gerrymandering on the right. OK, maybe it's time to counter all this Dead People Voting nonsense here. -
Hunter Biden Felony Fest - the new trial begins:

From the linked article... The three counts referenced are the felony charges against Biden: one count of tax evasion and two counts of filing a false return. The other six charges he faces are misdemeanors. I wonder how many people are charged with Felonies for tax evasion and filing a false return? -
Donald Trump Interview | Lex Fridman Podcast #442
bamnutsak replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in Political Soapbox
Weird interview in that the two participants seemed to be in different locations, so the two-camera thing was distracting. I think this is first time I've ever seen Trump chuckle, when the interviewer suggested that things would be better if they did mushrooms in Congress. To me it seems like the same old, old Trump, rehashing his greatest hits, while not really saying anything that makes sense. At least it wasn't as bad as his Kanye West "interview". I'm not sure Harris would reach any voters who can be persuaded to vote for her on this podcast, and her time might be better spent campaigning fact to face. -
Wow, people are reaching. So much for evaluating the candidates on policy and the ability to govern. Or their stand on Organized Labor. Just a simple 'call and response' portion of a speech to get the crowd in the conversation. Again, I may be missing the coded message here but I was unable to discern a regional Georgia dialect or accent. Now do Trump droning on for two hours because he's a "weaver".

Chronology of a Dozen Times Trump Pushed to Prosecute His Perceived Enemies The cascade of election coverage, commentary and speculation about how Donald Trump might use the power of the presidency to retaliate against his perceived political enemies has overlooked important context: Trump has done just that, while he was president, at least a dozen times. What follows is a chronological list of specific instances in which the former president in fact used the Department of Justice and other levers of government power — including by directly, publicly or privately pressuring officials — to target his chosen political targets. The record includes several cases in which he apparently succeeded more than might be imagined or remembered. https://www.justsecurity.org/98703/chronology-trump-justice-department/

Yeah, yucking it up with Elon bragging about firing an employee who was organizing a union was not a good look. But then there is little blowback on Trump's idiotic behavior and comments. The National Labor Relations Board on Thursday upheld a 2019 ruling that Tesla had illegally fired a worker involved in union organizing and that the company’s chief executive, Elon Musk, had illegally threatened workers with the loss of stock options if they unionized. The board ruled that the worker, Richard Ortiz, must be reinstated with back pay, and that Mr. Musk must delete his tweet. The company must also post a notice committing not to violate labor law in the future and announcing that it will undertake the mandated remedies. -NYT Support for Unions Hits 70-Year High as US Workers See Power of Organized Labor Despite corporate-backed efforts to erode union power in the United States for more than a century, U.S. public support for organized labor is higher than it's been in seven decades, according to a survey published ahead of Monday's Labor Day holiday. The annual Gallup Labor Day poll revealed that 70% of Americans approve of labor unions, while 23% disapprove. That's up from last year's 67% approval rate. Two years ago, 71% of survey respondents said they were pro-union, but 26% disapproved, meaning this year's 47-point approval margin was slightly wider than in 2022. https://www.commondreams.org/news/support-for-unions

Elections? Democracy for the highest bidder?

It doesn't help that the FEC is neutered (3:3) SCOTUS made corporations "people" (Citizens United) Rules/oversight on PACs is all but non-existent -
Ah, the old 3-D chess nugget, I should have known.

But why would pro-Trump outlets/pollsters (like Fox) participate in the conspiracy you describe? Or are they all part of the Globalist cabal? I think pollsters go for different target samples: likely voter, first-time voter, etc.

Swiss Man Who ‘Kicked’ Doctor Loses Visa, 2nd Swiss Man Too Could Do So
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Who said she did. I was merely citing a fact from ages ago. -
I think the margin of error is usually plus or minus, so the actual spread would be 2x. Some trends which contribute to unreliability include finding a decent sample, who is honest. Trump voters are often cagey about admitting they'll vote for Trump, maybe out of embarrassment? Then you have the electoral college bias. Harris will have to win by 3 ~ 5 points to get the win.

'Nuff said. States administer elections. In 2022, 70% voted by hand-marked paper ballot, 23% voted by matching which marks a paper ballot, and 7% by Direct Recording Electronic machines. https://www.reuters.com/graphics/USA-ELECTION/VOTING/mypmnewdlvr/ Harris is plus 7 in this left-leaning state with 4 electoral college votes. Trump is still likely to win. What will yousay then? "Oh the election was fine." Calm down.
