  1. Those that preach dont automatically pay the last 2 months rent would leave me to think whats happens if the landlord gets the right hump and I come back from the beach one day to find all my gear in the Condo corridor Am talking out aloud....Maybe others agree or perhaps not ??
  2. Yep likewise if I use Laptop (instead off app) it sends a notification saying tap on icon within app to verify its yourself logging in Its not a SMS per se though
  3. On an aside and already in the uk and having always said I would never leave completely to live in Thailand I can categorically say my opinion is changing/changed I cant put up with this shight much longer. Absolutely everything is broken
  4. Questions get asked simply to ascertain just in case an audit is ever required (say for suspected money laundering) and to see the answers that were supplied
  5. lol dont be so stupid !! If course its stopped if a life certificate is not returned and the recipient is considered dead but that is a totally different issue to an ongoing pension being sanctioned or stopped perhaps for over payments. Try harder fella
  6. I've had 2 and both times they were one way tickets uploaded
  7. Fair old trip by road susprised to see it was 539 kms
  8. Out of interest I had reason to ask lets say our delightful Police force how they "knew" I had been on a flight arriving from Abu Dhabi to Heathrow when I had reception committee lol at the airport some years ago Bantering in the car back to Heathrow Central Station the Police (on this occasion is was a minor issue quickly sorted) guy said 2 things happen when arrest warrants are put in place. 1) Whats the registered Home address (obviously) but 2) before they go there does the person have a passport and "is it in use" currently Once point 2 is established as a yes a marker is put on the passport and as soon as you check in a red flag is waved and our wonderful Police organise a reception on the plane lol Not my finest hour on Etihad lol
  9. Post of the thread and hopefully a few heads have been finally wobbled as reagrds their own naivety
  10. That photograph is "meant" to be a passport style image On the two applications I did it came up on screen as I uploaded it "meets passport requirements" (or very simiilar words) As regards accomodation I just copied and pasted airbnb address (translated from thai to English) The embassy wont reject outright the visa application but doubtless can ask for clarity on something else uploaded or missed out completely Several guys in the early days noted that if you write anything in a particular section the application at least gets uploaded anyway
  11. Yes part of the "manifest" that every flight departs with. That is compiled on every airlines mainframe and flight disptacher prints off final copy given to the flight crew
  12. Transom I'm finding it utterly mind boggling how utterly dim some are over the use of passports. There are bellends on this thread who think once the flight has departed the UK (complete with their name on the manifest) they aren't tracked (or capable of being tracked) lol
  13. 😂😂😂 I've read some comedy gold the last 19 years here but that one is pure platinum !
  14. Its beyone comedy gold let alone naive I agree Every time the passport (any nationality) is used its logged automatically......if its not been used than the last immigration entry (wherever) is exactly where the passport holder actually is (obviously) If that other guy says the Phillipines is where he is it will take DWP a few seconds to cross reference that information to realise he's lying (I have every real reason to know exactly just how much information our governments hold on us lol)
  15. Yes Pensioners may have been dragged (marginally) into the taxation bracket but only over and above the tax code that we all have to the day we die All income is grouped together but normally any tax due is collected from other income(private pensions/ dividends etc) but if there is not additional income than yes the state pension could suffer slight taxation but only on the excess over and above tax coding which many simply dont grasp The state pension (like all income_ in retirement is subject to tax where applicable ie in excess of tax coding
  16. lol no need He's going down make no mistake on a range of charges this year
  17. When they shave the orange Satans bonce when he gets a 10 stretch he'll need that baseball hat.....
  18. Yep and as I said on different thread few days ago I was reading the DWP website for other reasons and came across this I was surprised likewise. Nobody can have their state pension sanctioned in otherwards reduced or stopped so anyone claiming otherwise is talking bollacks (not yourself lol)
  19. True but that had nothing to do with the Baht lol That was entirely down to Sterling/Dollar on one side of the pairings which dipped hugely
  20. Lol tax would only be payable over and above the personal tax allowance we all enjoy On an aside I've lost count down the years on the forum how many times I have used the term "dont burn your bridges" with your own country as regards "this" topic
  21. I mentioned this the other day elsewhere when it was raised on the DWP own website The state pension or OAP as many call it is not sanctionable in any way. It cant be stopped or over payments recovered from I'm not going looking for the exact passage of text before someone asks for a link but I to was very surprised likewise
  22. So many providers have plans that are sometimes promotional that carry on for years yet are nowhere to be seen on official websites that are via shortcodes The plan I currently use is 300 Baht inclusive taxes per month but nearest to it on website is 699 Baht on True plus taxes
