I'm purely interested in the dividend itself currently 10.71% My capital balance is higher than invested and its its been around since 1930......not a chance in hell that I'd run out of money at any point However will take a look at your suggestion Schroder and thanks for that.....4.4% dividend at current unit price

The tax angle on investing house proceeds presumbly large needs investigating once you invest it Now I'm always likely to be a more aggressive type of investor having worked in finance for decades. These days 80% is in Dividend stocks and I always recommend Henderson Far East high income, Phoenix Holdings and M and G If I average out the dividends these pay 10.1% currently (at todays share price) but in my case are all in ISA's which obviously are tax free (which is the tax angle I mentioned in opening sentence) I take 7.5% of the dividends as they are paid and reinvest the balance 2.6% back into same stocks.....obviously you can tweak the ratio's I have many other dividend stocks but those 3 are my favourites......obviously you have to be happy with a floating capital balance

lol completely opposite experience for me Agents have been superb never a single problem into 33rd year of coming and 3 times bent over backwards to assist me including just 2 weeks ago when China Southern completely cancelled flights using there 787 Dreamliners Travel Trolley bent over backwards to inform assist and refund monies in days People simply cannot grasp that agents like TT Trip.com Mytrip etc etc etc provide massive bookings and income for airlines and when those airlines are told we need this sorted for the client thats exactly what happens Now you try that with booking direct. Both Eva and Etihad were complete basketcases and thats being poilte when I had minor issues to sort out

Yes I remember that issue....re adding card if you opened app still within UK. (I didnt add it) Now I dont remember the exact sequence on what happened but when I got to Thailand the "cash payment" option suddenly appeared......clearly I clicked on it as the option and its been the same ever since Not the slightest issue ever Bolt to my mind is the biggest advance out here in my now 33rd year of coming.....utter game changer People do use the card option but from reading forums some drivers ignore the request (for the drive) because they can see its card rather than cash Not surprisingly they prefer cash I do not like using cards out here......if I did I would link a UK bank to the app because you know if you are scammed it'll be sorted Can you imagine walking in to your Thai bank and 500.000 Baht has disappeared and the reaction we'd get !

You need to read all the thread lol I am now on Thai because China Southern removed all their 787-8 Dreamliners from service Not sure where false economy comes from though.......on the return early January non stop (return) on Eva and Thai were both around £900 when I looked......I've paid £404......£500 less which is a lot of amusement to my mind in Thailand In addition have been on China Eastern previously and the seating was the best I've been on for a long time of any airline on the main sector....thread I did before on CE is linked above on this thread

Yes you need to read the post further up China Southern are selling all their dreamliners in a restructuring bid to sort finances out and cancelled all bookings Monies have been refunded literally last night thankfully I managed as per earlier post to hop on Thai International (overnight Christmas day/Boxing day) for £299 one way which if it had been available at that price originally when I booked China Southern I would have snapped up anyway Yes the China Eastern return is £404 and all good. Flew with them last March and there is a trip report in this sub forum I flew actually last Christmas day as well on Singapore to London (again trip report in sub forum) but that was a return ticket from memory £589 and came back early January as I will again on China Eastern

Well frankly that decision over uprated state pension awards will be shortly null and void anyway As per the other thread over new Taxation issues Thailand has joined earlier this year the reporting group which reports back to your home countries tax office monies that sit in Thai accounts and usage of such DWP will have little difficulty in assessing in short order who should be getting it and should not...... State Pension is not sanctionable though despite what people think or claim and its on the DWP website (I was also very surprised) As its unlikely you're living overseas solely on state pension they'll still get their pound of flesh back though somehow but if you are they can do nothing about recovering back payments
