Option 3) Transferring funds from my Schwab account to Bangkok Bank. Also would I receive a more favorable rate if I ask Schwab to convert USD to THB before transferring to Bangkok Bank?

Schwab does not convert to Thai baht.  They will send it in US dollars.  Your Thai bank will determine the rate.

(There are 15 currencies they will convert to but Thai baht is not one of them.)

  2. Is there an access hatch to your ceiling?

If so get someone to put some rolls of insulation, that you can buy from any home improvement store, on top of the ceiling.  Like SCG Stay Cool or a similar product.

  3. A lot of places, like dental offices, that want you to remove your street shoes also provide sandals you can wear inside.

A lot of places that have the old style Thai bathrooms also leave sandals by the door to wear inside the bathroom.

But I also agree it is kind of silly in some small stores and barbers that want you to remove your shoes.  Most if you ask though will tell you it's ok to leave your shoes on though.

@UTBoro Is your cable underground or overhead?

If it's overhead, replace it with a size larger aluminium cable, it's far cheaper than copper and very much less likely to wander off in the night.

If underground you're stuck with using proper underground rated copper cable

Have you spoken with your insurance company?

On our new property we ran a cable about 50 meters down the side of the main street to an out building.  Our contractor told us to use aluminum wiring as copper wire would probably be stolen.
