I want to use an agent but dont know what they do. Put the money in your bank account and let it seed or pay off the I.O.

15,000 sounds like a bargain compared to some price quotes I have been hearing.
Go in there and ask your questions.
To add, I have never heard of an agent or ex-pat being arrested/harassed by Immigration for using an agent.
In fact they encourage it as it is big money for immigration, why bite the hand that feeds.
Good luck.
Cant go in at the moment, i live rural and its a 10 hour round trip for me.
I thought the news rules were to stop agents paying back handers and immigration officials asking for them so was wondering if it still happens.

For now i'm not going to mention which agent , but. Having contacted one via their website, due to insufficient funds i needed their help. This was their reply :-
you would have to come the office, but can renew your 1 yearthe cost is 15,000 but need you here 1 month beforePretty vague. Has anyone here used an agent ?, can you use them and if so what exactly do they do ? I dont want to do anything wrong, i've lived here over 20yrs and there's no way i want to do anything that would get me banned out of the country, but i need to do something in the next 4 months which is when my seeding time ends.
What other options do i have, my money is tied up till next year then i dont have a problem and i live in Phetchabun which makes border runs a 15 hour round trip plus processing time.

I used to be on a extension based on marriage but 5 years ago change to extension based on retirement. Now i need to go back to the marriage extension due to finances. Q. will the 400k in the bank need in for 2 or 3 months prior to my visit to immigration ?

During the world cup there was some great posts on how to watch it on your computer (linked to a tv).
Unfortunately windows last update, a big one, wiped all my bookmarks from my Firefox browser and removed all my restore points, so cannot find which sites they mentioned. I use sopcast at the moment but it doesn't always show the games i want to watch and its always in either Russian or Arabic.
So, if you watch the footie via the internet can you let me know which sites you use.... only free to watch ones.... cheap charlie here ?.

Defo contact the police. These parcels usually contain porcelain products filled with drugs. If customs dont pick the scent and she receives them he gets them for free but if customs get wind of the drugs she gets the wrap for them !
p.s. the excuse 'i didn't know what they were' rarely works.

Email submission is still an option.
The form is rather confusing as it notes at the top 'This service is only available by post'. But, nearer the bottom, it states 'Email your application and documents to...'
I used the email option earlier this year (same form was on the website) and all worked out fine. Suggest you send by email and you should receive a confirmation of receipt once sent.
JEEEZ... you weren't kidding. After your reply it still took me 4 attempts to find it..... many thanks, great relief.

Last year i did my proof of income letter online. Just looked and cannot find a link to it on the British consular website. Do they still do it online or is it post only now ?

Do not believe most Thai would know what diet coke was - the sugar free version here is Coke Zero and is served at McDonalds so it is known. There is also a Coke Lite but have never seen anywhere and have not tasted. Other than perhaps green tea do not believe there is much choice here normally, and even less demand. But Coke/Pepsi/EST all have sugar free versions now so perhaps in another decade there was be something other than cola.
They know what diet coke is, i never said they didn't, they just dont want a drink without sugar.

I'm trying to find a supermarket that sell sugar free drinks apart from coca cola (i have bad reactions to caffeine). Its crazy out here for sugary drinks.
I (my wife) own a snooker hall, in it there are 2 display fridges full of various drinks, all full of sugar. I recently tried putting small bottles of diet coke in. One month later and they still haven't been touched.
I like the Thai whiskey 'Hong Tong'. Usually drink it with soda and a large splash of Sprite. But recently noticed it was affecting my teeth so looked online for a supermarket selling sugar free drinks. Apart from cola and soda with a hint of flavor (yuk), i couldn't find any.
So, has anyone seen any 'diet' drinks and if so what ?

With the amount of traveling some people do and if everyone complied there must be 1000's of TM30's needed to be filled out every month, so you'd think the TM-30 would be available to be submitted online like the 90 day reporting now is.
There again ... TiT

Yes it's appropriate, thanks. How did it go?
Turns out that they were wrong. 90 day reporting is not effected by your passport expiry date. They said 'sorry' and that they had already sent it to my home address.... this after i'd just driven 120 km's and have the return journey to go ... grrr

Correct, but the "postal" agent does everything for you, they do all the photo copies etc till stuff is 100%......THEN they take your stuff to Trendy where there is no ploblem...
Yer, decided already thats the best way, not too expensive either as it would cost me around 3000 baht in traveling expenses, and, as you say, peace of mind too.

The British Embassy does not issue passports in Thailand so an Embassy visit is not necessary.
You have to go to the UK visa application centre, address below :-
UK Visa Application Centre
The Trendy Office Building,
28th Floor,
Sukhumvit Soi13,
Klongtoey-Nua, Wattana
Bangkok
Thailand
10110They check everything and forward it on to Britain, this is from the official GOV.UK website.

The OP is in Petchabun. Are there agents up that way similar to those in Pattaya? If not, it's further from Petchabun to Pattaya than to BKK - or is it possible to deal with the Pattaya agents by post?
But can EMS them to the agent.... no traveling.
