  1. On the forum I mentioned earlier, there's a lot of advice about razor bump problems. A DE razor seems definitely to help.

However, until you try the razor, you might try a tip I got from another forum. Before shaving, rub some Nivea cream on your face (thick white cream like grannie used to use, but available at most cosmetic sections of discount stores in Thailand like Tesco Lotus or even supermarkets like Tops. It's very protective, helps avoid razor burn too. Let it soak in a few minutes, then shave. Looks like this:

you mean using Nivea as shaving gel? i have it at home and would love to try..thanks..

  2. thanks guys. i'll check it out. i didn't know that they are called "double-edged razor blades".

i have been using Gillette Mach 3 but i heard three blade things not good for ur skin. i have read some article where it shows how bad it could be for your facial skin. and seriously, i'm having problem.

what i meant by really expensive is something above 3000 baht..i don't mind spending a thousand for razor as i have already spent hel_l lot of money checking out lotions for the shaving bumps.

stainless steel machine is my choice.

"Old spice" , heard a lot of good things about this brand. never used it. Heard how girls used to love guys with "old spice".....not sure Thai chicks would love it....:) ......

for sure, i have never seen this brand in Boots or Watson......or i could be wrong.......

thanks so much guys..lots of information here...:D

  3. Hello,

For the last few months, i'm having severe white pimples or shaving bumps after shaving. . I tried all the possible ways to get rid of it but no luck. Finally, a friend suggested me to try out old school safety razors like my grandfather used to use. Like the one in the following picture.

But the problem is, i have never seen those in Bangkok. Even they have so limited choice on "after shave" lotion. Does anybody has any idea where i can i purchase safety razors, blades, shaving brush in Bangkok? i don't want to spend a lot of money in it..just wanna try first...

    thanks

  4. yes, i do it with Bangkok bank. They will charge on each transaction. so whatever tax or fee they need, they would charge from you automatically. It's not that big money.

Bangkok bank has a god tie with Paypal, but you have to go their head office in silom for any assistance.....branch office staff has never heard of paypal......

in thailand, lots of ebay account holder from the jewelry company ... bkk bank supports them...

  5. illiteracy is the main problem here. I don't believe she sold her motor cycle and things to come to bkk. That is a bad move.

If she can topple down the government today, does she think she will have a better life tomorrow? she can buy motorbike the next day? ....

What they failed to understand that the current economy crisis is not only in Thailand, it's world wide.

And they want to come back to Bkk street again...i understand she needs home now, free food.

  6. by the way, what paper you were referring?

    i suppose :

    1. passport copy/WP copy/ License copy along with your original one.

    2. Insurance papers

    3. Blue book copy (is it important to keep the original one in the car ? )

    what else?

    thanks.

  7. According to me, under 200k......mitsubishi lancer from 93/94 (evo 3 style) would be the best car. It is very reliable car. Parts are easy available and very popular among thais. resale value is really good. modifying kits are still available.

Even they have dedicated garage only for these models and one could be found on rama 9 road near lotus express.

how about this car? it has 4g15 engine which is 1.5 cc.

also within 200k, u will also find 4g93 engine which is 1.8cc. if you can install LPG with this machine, it would be perfect.

This mitsu model offers many engine type which are:

    4g13 1.3 cc (i don't suggest this one)

    4g15 1.5cc

    4g91 1.6 cc

    4g92 mivec 1.6 cc

    4g93 na or 4g93 turbo 1.8 cc

    4g63 na or 4g63 turbo 2.0 cc (evolution 3)

you see the range of engine it can support on this mitsu lancer. all these engines are easy available in Thailand.

I agree about the 90's model lancer, I think until recently Proton based most of its mid size models on this design so that should help with parts. I would not recommend the car in the link posted though, a body kit and other mod's like that one has could suggest it has been ragged by a young Thai guy. I would look for a really standard spec model, even with original radio, and if you are lucky it may mean it was owned by a grandmother who used it once a week to go to the temple.

    cheers

A grand mother who never changed the oil and fluids, because she don't know.

Yes that Mistu is "blulled proof", good car but very boring and ALLWAYS the whole dashboard rattles in the idle speed when AC is on.

you can even change the air dashboard which they call "air digital" just for 3000 baht. it doesn't rattle for all car for sure.

  9. i have 40% non reflecting black film and the easy pass works just fine.

but it is annoying to see Thai drivers still using the express lane although they don't have the easy pass. they will change the lane at the eleventh hour and creates traffic in that lane........which spoils the whole idea of having an easy pass....
