My boss wants me to work for her company permanently. But she is tired of renewing my visa and work permit every year. It's not really a large company but she is a millionaire. she is looking for a easy process and thought it would be better if i have a PR.......but i left under graduate without finishing and i don't have condo or house of my own in thailand.

i'm 31 and i have been living in thailand for last 12 years. Working for this company for last 3 years. i have WP and business visa.

can i apply for PR?

now i have lancer ecar (evo 3 style) with a small engine 1.3 4g13.

I'm thinking of changing to 4g93 (non turbo) which is 1.8 cc. The garage quoted me total of 40k. 4g93 engine is built for my car so there shouldn't be any difficult mounting adjustment. 40k seems okie to me.

But i don't know anything about the engine. they said they will get the best engine. How do i know it's a good engine as it would be second hand? what else shall i be checking while replacing engine?

usually thai hotels are the best in terms of pricing, services and cleanness compare to the hotels in the US and UK. with these price range, it is impossible to stay in any hotel in the western world.

i'm driving an old mitsu Ecar with LPG mostly in Bangkok areas. i need a class 3 plus insurance policy which should cover entirely third party car and also some of my car ( at least 100k baht).

i checked out Thaivisa insurance but their office is in Pattaya so not sure how they will assist me in Bangkok. Anybody using thaivisa for their insurance in bkk?

i was thinking about mittare.

it's true. one of my thai colleague got caught and he had to fine 20,000 baht plus one night in jail. he also have to do some community work like reading books for the blind etc......

what i'm afraid is the harassment by the police at night......
