  1. I want to come back in a week or 2 sad.png

If you wish to return so soon after clearing a major overstay I suggest.........

    1. That you have a tourist or other type of Visa

    2. Ensure that you have at least 20,000 Bht (or equivalent) Cash .

One of the easiest means an IO can use to deny entry is a lack of demonstrable finance.

  2. Hi! Guys, I need help about my overstay... I've been wanting to clear this since a long time ago, but unfortunately I didn't have the capacity to sort it out then. I'm now ready to clear my overstay and wishing to come back here again... My entry stamp and the expired visa is stamped on my expired passport. I recently applied for a renewal from the embassy and I've got issued a new one along with the letter from them saying the new passport is a replacement for the expired one. I have been overstaying for 4 years... What problems could I face when leaving Thailand? I'm just planning to fly to nearby country to save money for flights.

I suggest you fly out and pay the 20,000 baht fine on the way out of the country at the airport.

You will need to show both passports on departure from the country. The old one to show your entry stamp. They will do the overstay and departure stamps in the new one.

You will not have a problem entering the country. But It would be best to get a tourist visa before returning.

Did you read the 2 photos?

    A bit curious about them.

    New or old news.

Very old news! It relates to a proposal which was never (to date) implemented.

  3. Thank you everybody for the responses. Seems like it is a bit of a grey area for my situation. In an ideal world I would hand in my 1-3 months notice as I have in the past but the situation here is clearly not an ideal one.

    Another f-er...

We had a teacher here at school during last semester that just lext after getting his salary on a Friday. I was in BKK at the time when he left the school but he caused me some problem:

I shared a house with him but he couldn't pay his share of the electricity and water the month before he left (he said he was low on funds) so said that he would pay the whole bill the next month but he didn't. When I came back from BKK on the Sunday afternoon I realized that he had left as his things (and some of my) where gone, all together it's about 10,000 he owe me.

And as he did not give his notice the school did not have time to find a new teacher so I ended up having to take his classes so that the students would have a teacher.

Quit at the beginning of the school break (April/October), that way you can just walk away without caring. That is how I did it because then the school have time to find a replacement and the students don't loose any teaching

But I guess that you are to greedy to lose 1 month salary as you would be out of work for 1 month!

There's always one isn't there, gotta love Thaivisa.. Why am I a f-er exactly, and greedy? The story you have told is actually completely different to my situation. Perhaps you need to work on your reading comprehension and not tarnish everybody with the same brush. Why am I greedy to not want to lose my salary for the month that I have worked. The management in my school has not paid the last few teachers after they have handed in their notice. I have worked in the same school for 3 years and I have been a model professional for that time. If I hand in my notice, work for my final month and then the school don't pay me I will be getting screwed out of a months salary that they owe me. I guess you would just work for free and suck it up... yeah right!

    Cheers!

If the school did not pay what you are legally entitled to receive a simple complaint made to the Labour Office would soon ensure their mind set was adjusted.

Leaving without notice is IMHO not "professional".

  4. If it's no seasoning for the combo method. Can you then use like 790 k in bank and 10k income ?

IMO I belioeve that immigration expects that the ratio should be a higher income than the money in the bank.

    I agree.

IMO this drive toward "seeding" is associated with suspicions of "account stuffing" or other creative means of ensuring a lump sum is in the bank on the day application is made for an extension using the "combo" method.

    edit= spelling correction

  5. Hey

Good luck with that and you would not have this problem if you treated Thai and foreigners with respect.

I mean really trying to kick 2 boys off a bike at high speed and then ramming with a car... What did you think there going to praise your work of UPHOLDING and PROTECTING people in Thailand

    God Bless

DO you have any evidence which supports the accusations being made ?

Were you an "eye witness" to everything that occurred?

Or, more likely, are you just another "keyboard cowboy" who hurls unprovable accusations from the safety and comfort of an armchair ?

  6. I am going to piggy back on this thread. I will link to the thread I started 2015-10-07 and updated today.

When in Thailand, I live in a government police apartment. I may be applying for a retirement visa, so that I can attend a Thai language school. I expect that I will take the Thai language course for 6 months or longer, perhaps more than a year.

    Still hoping for an answer.

Why not ask your Police relative to confirm your legal presence in Police accommodation to his colleges in the immigration branch of the Police Service.

  7. Have anyone done Immunotherapy before? The doctor suggests x3 sessions of immunotherapy for my husband, 1 and half years to 3 years life expectancy.

Today he has gone for 6th radiation for his brain cancer. The CT biopsy indicates that his lung cancer is from his bladder tumor.

Do you know the name of the drug?

    Hi Sheryl,

Just found out the drug is Anti-PD1. Do you know this? Thanks.

Anti-PD1 described the mode of action, it is not the drug name. Is it by any chance atezolizumab or Keytruda? And is this a clinical trial?

Whichever it is, you need to understand that there is no guaranteed survival time to be had. There is only an average survival time that other patients on average have had; there will have been patients who had less and patients who had more. Your husband's result may or may not prove average. And there will be side effects though indeed they are usually less severe than conventional chemo. Diarrhea and fatigue are the most common.

What does your husband say about all this?

The cost of the suggested treatment is also likely to be very high unless the treatment is being offered as part of a clinical trial.

You should check that your insurance company will meet the cost.

  8. "Internships" are usually associated with University study.

As said you will need a Non imm B and a work permit.

Your employer will have to provide the documentation for the visa which will be more substantial than a letter.

The employer will also have to apply for the necessary Work Permit.

If the restaurant is linked to one of the well known hotel chains they will know what is required.

  9. I buy tramadol for an elderly neighbor with bad arthritis. No problems at all getting it at large pharmacy in town. They do register my name when I buy it and no doubt if I was getting large quantities there would be an issue, but as she takes it only occasionally quantiites are small.

Some pharmacies don't want the hassle and do not sell for that reason. but legally they can as long as they record the details and a first grade pharmacist was on duty.

I have been taking 50 mg.Tramadol HCL for several years now, on an "as needed" basis. It works well for me. I have been needing to use it with increasing frequency, as my arthritis simply is not improving, no surprise there. Left hip, right knee, torn rotator in one shoulder, a couple of "bad" discs, peripheral neuropathy, and persistent sternotomy pain. Any one or two could be manageable, but the full orchestra is debilitating and causes insomnia. I also need to know where one can get insulin.... my recent experience of going to Kluaynamthai 2 Hospital and paying 1,600 bt for one vial of type "N" insulin was traumatic. smile.png

Does anybody know of a specific place or places where I can address these needs? Please? I keep reading about a "large pharmacy in town", or "the people's hospital, I don't recall the name but locals will know...". Every pharmacy I go to says "no" to both. Nobody knows what "the people's hospital is". Last trip I was getting by on Ultracet when I could find it and had brought enough insulin for my two month stay. This time I will be here for at least six months, and had no idea insulin would be so hard to come by, so I did not try to secure a six months supply.

    Thank you.

If you are talking about "Humulin N" insulin then it is available in Thailand but likely only found at large pharmacies.

Are you staying in the Bang Na area of Bangkok?

  10. Once in Thailand your wife can use her "O" visa to apply for an extension of stay as your dependent.

The extension will match your "permission to stay" period.

To apply you should both visit an immigration office. You will need photocopies of both passports, visas, entry stamps, and departure cards. The cost will be 1900 Bht.

If you plan to travel outside the Kingdom your wife will need a re-entry permit.

90 day reports will be required from you both for every 90 period spent in country.

    Hi Sheryl,

Just found out the drug is Anti-PD1. Do you know this? Thanks.

Here is a research abstract re the use of Anti-PD1

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22658128

  12. thank you for your quick response. now i have the single entry non-B. if i get a 1year extension, would i be able to use it to leave thailand and back in december?

If you secure an extension and wish to travel a re-entry permit is available from immigration. Single entry 1000Bht , Multi-entry 3800 Bht.

  13. I very much doubt that hotel receptionists are interested in or know anything about 90 day reports.

Strictly speaking you should make the report, there is no "grace period" just a window of time during which the report can be made.

However, if you are leaving and never intend returning there is no chance of your failure to report having any adverse outcome.

    Edit.

if the 90 day report slip is not in the passport no one can see it.

I done my last 90 day report in July on the 7th day after the report was due! No Hassles or penalties in Jomtien Soi 5.

If the the slip is not in the passport, Immigration will still look at what type of visa stamp and DATE is in the passport! which wont show the 90 day reporting date, only the Visa expiry date, could possibly result in overstay charges.

"Overstay " charges for what ?

Overstay cannot be generated by failing to make a 90 day reports and airport immigration officers are not interested in or involved with 90 day reports.
