  1. They are doing the opposite: divide and conquer. It's all going to plan.
  2. Communism is on the way
  3. I lived in Isaan with the degenerates for many many years. Still have a house there. It's okay for holidays or if you are retired maybe, but you can't have a serious life there. The rice fields look nice but it's hard to avoid the pitfalls of living in a low socioeconomic area. The women are mostly gambling addicts and the men are mostly drunks. Huge number of yaba addicts, teen gangs, scoundrels, misfits, and delinquents. I suppose you think it won't negatively affect you, until it does.
  4. Where are you drinking your Guinness? It ain't cheaper than where I come from and I ain't seen them pouring a decent pint here either. I eat like a local, too, but we are talking about tourists here. They are paying a lot more to eat Thai food in the tourist areas. Tourists ain't coming to Thailand for the fish n chips. We aren't talking expat life here.
  5. Why would you come to Thailand when you could drink quality beer and good sized spirit measures in Europe for less money? The beer is pish here and you can't even taste the gin in your tonic. The food is better in Europe, too. 150 baht for fried rice in cheap oil with a spoonful of sugar, no thanks. I wouldn't fly across the globe for that. The beaches are littered and the water is so dirty you can't swim in it. The Mediterranean wins, easy. Everything is a scam or a rip off from the moment you leave the airport, starting with the "no meter" taxi. People in tourist areas constantly bothering you for your money. Culture? Please. Europe is closer. The only thing Thailand had going for it was the cheap toot, and now it ain't cheap anymore.
  6. Please, ask a farang husband who does all the work. It ain't the Thai wife.
  7. I think it's just cos women are considered more desrirable and get special treatment in general I honestly think it was white women who came up with the concept of male privilege to take the attention away from the fact they are the most privileged.
  8. This is interesting and humorous. Why do western women get the Thai passport so easily, but western guys will probably never get it?
  9. Who tips the receptionist?? Service doesn't change. If you don't tip, how will service change? You think they'll walk in slow motion with your drink? Spit in your food? What's gonna happen if you don't tip? I have never experience better service when tipping anyway. They just take the money. I tip 20 baht for a decent haircut, 100 baht for a good massage. Who tips for phone repair? Lol I tip less now because "when in Rome" Thais don't tip, so why should I? Generally speaking, I don't pay more for things than what it costs, though I do follow the local culture (I always tipped in my home country). Occasionally, I will be so happy with a service that I will feel compelled to tip, like a wonderful massage, for example
  10. Don't you know where we are? This place is full of lowlifes and I aint talking about the farang. What's wrong with being frugal? Thais are cheap charlies. Nothing wrong with that.
  11. Spread their legs and let the husband pay the visa fee. How else is anything ever paid for? Reciprocal? How many Thai passports have farang gotten compared to their dual national Thai wives??
  12. Will the 7 Deadly Days also be recognised as a traditional Thai event?
  13. And it lasts for 3 days. Haha
  14. 99.999999999% of them are only good for a w@nk.
  15. Of course I expect cars to yield at zebra crossings, that's what they are there for. It's not a matter of superiority. It's a matter of basic decency. But as you said, this is Asia. If we can't cross at pedestrian crossings, where can we cross? And what's the point in having crossings if they are ignored? They are suuposed to be safe places for people to cross. You are somehow twisting this into the pedestrian's superiority complex. It shouldn't be too much to ask drivers to follow the law, but they respect nothing and people get killed on zebra crossings because of it. Pedestrian are entitled to cross even if cars are coming. You don't seem to grasp that basic concept. If I was going to stand and wait til it's clear that would defeat the point in going to the crossing. I could cross at any part of the road once it's clear.
  16. How do you know my age? I know, there's no respect for anything. Superior attitude? By using a pedestrian crossing?
  17. Their forefathers should have just been kept on 1 year non-immigrant style visas
  18. Most of my adult life. No, I know the drivers don't respect anything here...... .....thanks for proving my point, by the way. 😄 Just trying to cross the road at a zebra crossing, man. I think it's the drivers who don't follow the law and give way that have a superiority complex. Well, I only have to look one way, usually. And then I step out and start crossing the road - even if a car is coming - because I am on a pedestrian crossing and its my right of way. They have the right of way on every part of the road, except pedestrian crossings. Okay, I am all ears.
  19. You mean like carrying out acts of terror?
  20. How so? How is it Thai bashing? It's true. I am unable to cross at a pedestrian crossing without incident in Thailand. Yesterday, the Thai driver who almost ran me over on the crosswalk opened his door while he was driving to hurl abuse at me cos I made him stop on the zebra crossing. I got the finger just last week for claiming my right of way at the zebra crossing, and it isn't the first time.
  21. The thing that puts me off Isaan women is their guts are full of rotting fish water Just imagine the worms and parasites they are carrying around. Quite poetic really considering their nature.
  22. Lol. What about the part where Thai drivers drive over a zebra crossing while you are on it?
