Nonsense? Really? You'd be surprised, if you actually tried, how much info is actually on the electronic record. You have to speak to the IT person at your bank who can read the codes and translate them. You also might have to speak to the receiving bank. There is an electronic trail throughout the path from your bank to theirs. Some banks will not process international transactions, but do not disclose this fact unless you dig into it. Could be a number of other reasons for this. Could be an oversensitive security protocol somewhere in the chain. If you want to figure this out you'll have to do the heavy lifting.

American here, living in Bangkok. You are not correct. In the US these things attract major headlines and are regarded as just as tragic as anywhere else. Don't know why you seem to be imagining otherwise and seemingly insensitive to the suffering from those events, but it is YOUR imagination and not reality. No one in the US is by any means numb to this as you would suggest. There are protests and outrage in the US every time this happens. The politicians refuse to enact gun control because they are paid off by the gun lobby. Tragedy is Tragedy. There have been shootings and murders within 100 feet of my house in the US. Sandy Hook is only an hour from my house in the US. It's not any worse in Thailand just because of the location. What IS worse, in my opinion, is that the cancer which is most virulent in the US and elsewhere now spreads into relatively peaceful countries like Thailand. That makes me terribly sad. The shooter has an American flag on his hat, but it is not disclosed if he is American. If he is Thai, it would look like the American cancer has infected him. America is the worst of the western developed countries for violence in general, it's one of the reasons I came to Thailand

Feel bad for these guys because most taxi drivers are good honest people, and in this case they were betrayed by their own. When you are a nice guy you tend to trust others a little too much sometimes. I have had many very pleasant rides with the good guys, often a fun challenge in trying to crack jokes and just converse with minimal language overlap. I've had drivers many times go out of their way to find me after I left things in their cabs.

The Thais should be proud that their culture is tolerant enough to put up with racist bigots such as yourself without deporting them. Theoretically they probably could, as well as bring criminal defamation charges. But the blowback from that might make things exponentially worse, and maybe they know that. Are the creators residing in Thailand such that they could be brought to court? Also, the movie was informed by investigators from established Thai news organizations like the Thaiger, would they want to go after them as well? It's likely that the writer of the story or the mother either misspoke or were perhaps misinterpreting bleeding that was due to injury. These writers are not known for getting facts straight, let alone getting anything scientific or medical right. then there's translation.

Fake or not, it serves as food for thought for anyone BEFORE they find themselves in a similar dilemma. And as you must know, MANY have had lives ruined by conniving wives, and their families, lawyers, banks, and realtors.
